I found my gown during a sample sale last fall. I could only come to get it fitted once because I live on the east coast. Despite that fact, it ended up fitting perfectly! The people that work here are incredibly helpful and the customer service is fantastic. My dress looked AMAZING!
I didn't expect to find my wedding dress at Miosa because I thought it would be out of my budget. The last dress I tried on was the one and very close to my budget. The girls there were helpful and the owner Michael is great as well. Very knowledgable and experienced. I had my alterations and bustling done there which seemed a little pricey, but was worth it. Once you try it on after alterations they will make any further adjustments with no extra charges. I had the perfect dress and felt so beautiful on our big day!
My wedding dress was made by Michael at Miosa. It was his original design for a bridesmaid dress-simple, elegant and at a great price. The dress was amazing and a perfect fit. Miosa is a great bridal salon and worth a look!
This is a great shop. I love my dress and they did exactly what I asked for with my alterations.
I had been to a couple of other wedding dress places in Sacramento and had iffy experiences, and then I went to Miosa. Based on the name I wasn't sure if I should even bother because I didn't want to spend a huge amount of money on my bridal gown, so I called them up and told them my price range. They said 'oh yeah we've got tons of dresses within your budget' so I made an appointment. Right away they zeroed in on what kind of style I wanted, but they also helped recommend dresses that I might not have considered for myself but that would look great on my body. They picked out three gowns and I loved every single one, which right away told me they knew what they were doing. So, needless to say I found my dress that day. They were also doing a promotion where I got $300 in store credit which I could apply toward veil, alterations, etc. The dress came in as scheduled and they did a great job with alterations, only needed to be done once. They also made a nice little bolero with the material I had taken off the train. Really quality work and I was extremely happy with the results. I got so many compliments on the dress and I felt beautiful in it. Working with the staff at Miosa was a great experience!
I found the perfect dress at Miosa! There customer service isn't the best. If you schedule a dress appointment ask for Irene. She's amazing. Michael is much harder to work with.
I am not someone who has been able to buy ANYTHING couture. In fact, I don't even go in those stores. I have a rule that, if the hangers are made of wood and the store associates are snobs, then I can't afford it. I'm the one that goes right to the sale racks at JC Penny, Target, or similar stores, and I'm totally content and thankful for that. After trying on 40+ wedding dresses at about 4 different stores, and not finding 'the one', I happened to pass by Miosa after leaving a nearby store. I had no appointment at Miosa, but Sanae took me in and allowed me to try on a handful of dresses, including HILARY, the dress I ultimately chose. I did love the dress, but I wanted to keep looking (just for the love of the dress hunting experience). The cost of the HILARY was a little over my budget, but that wasn't what kept me from buying right away. I didn't want to commit quite yet and I wanted to make sure the one I chose was "the one", just like the man I picked! My dress search got more difficult as time went on, because what I thought was the type of dress I wanted, weren't the dresses I like on my body - so my perspective had to change. I'm 5'7" 128 and small chested (and very proud of it) but I'm curvy in the hips with muscular legs. I wanted a dress that accentuated certain parts but still appeared classy and elegant at the same time. I also was looking for a Grecian type of dress, but not the cookie cutter empire waist type you see all over. As time passed, I tried on more and more dresses, and realized that I kept thinking of the HILARY and comparing every dress to how unique the back and front were, and how great I felt in it. I thought about how much Miosa was offering in quality and personal fit for a price fit for your average budget bride. After trying on about 80 dresses total, I realized that I could pay slightly less for a dress at another store, but only get something that's been tried on a million times, only to have to pay additional for alterations. OR, I could up my budget slightly (which really wasn't much) and get a dress that was made for me, only me. After asking Miosa if they could make the HILARY in any colors other than white, off white, or creme (because I'm not a traditional bride), they told me they had over 75 colors to choose from. I went back to Miosa right then and made the deal. I chose HILARY in the most amazing light silver. It was silver, but it still had that wedding dress glow to it - it still made me look like a bride. After picking it up and wearing it on my big day, all I can say is that my dress is the most beautiful piece of clothing I have ever seen, certainly ever owned, and it was mine and made only for me. The fabric was insanely comfortable and actually concealed a lot of what I wanted covered for a dress that appeared so silky. The folks at Miosa- Sanae, Michael, and their staff, know what they're doing. I have no regrets and will always love seeing my HILARY in pictures, or when I plan to have it altered and wear it again! I got so many compliments on it, but most importantly, it was PERFECT FOR ME. Miosa knows how to fit the right dress with the right body, and make it amazing and unforgettable.
Bottom line: you pay for a truly couture gown at Miosa, but you don't pay for the designer label or fancy service (more below). Great value for a great dress.
I originally went to Miosa with my mother because she was considering making a dress for me. We wanted to see what looked good on me so we could go from there.
We were both so blown away by the quality of the materials and construction, though, that it was a no-brainer to just go with Miosa. My mother truly felt that for the quality and price, she really couldn't compare.
When I finally did choose a dress, it was an easy process. I started with naming my price range, and tried dresses on in that range. I would have looked amazing in any of them, and felt no pressure to go outside of my price range.
BUT....I fell in love with a dress in the window over twice what I wanted to spend. After trying it on, I had to have it.
Because a lot of what you are paying for at Miosa is the actual labor and materials, not the name, we made some changes to the dress design that helped bring the price down A LOT. I'm not sure if that would always be possible, but because the dresses are custom made, it is worth discussing this option. All alterations are included, as well, and that is often a significant hidden cost when you buy off the rack. Keep that in mind.
Overall I thought everyone was nice and helpful, but it wasn't a fancy, Say Yes to the Dress experience. I think that might be off-putting for some people. When you are buying such a high end (in quality, but the dresses aren't cheap) dress, a bit more pomp would be nice.
Most importantly, though, my dress was gorgeous and I could not be happier with the quality.
most gorgeous dressess!
Go no where else to find your gown! These people are dreammakers! I went in with a dress I had bought from another unnamed salon that I swear was a size 14 and not a size 4, and they performed miracles on the dress to have it fit my personality and my body perfectly.... even more than I originally envisioned!! And more importantly, I have never felt that I was simultaneously talking to genius artists and down to earth friends during all my interactions with Micheal and Sanea. They are truly a diamond in the rough of Sacramento bridal salons (actually all of Northern California at that!!), and I would highly recommend this salon to any and all who want to feel beautiful and special on their wedding day!!
I was able to get a custom dress for ready to wear pricing. It fit me like a glove, and I don't have the easiest body type to fit. I am very busty (a G cup), and their design allowed me to comfortably wear a strapless dress that didn't move, pinch, or make me feel like I was inappropriately displaying anything I didn't want shown. They were awesome!
I bought my wedding dress at Miosa Couture in December 2007 and it was the Michael and Sanae made this experience very easy for me. The dress I choose was "twiggy" and they made it beautifully. It fit me perfect and I felt gorgeous in it on the day of the wedding. They make the most beautiful dresses and the fact that the bra is built in was a MAJOR selling point for me!
I absolutely loved my dress! It was pricey but worth it. My only complaint is that the female owner is rude. I called and rescheduled my appointment and she basically treated me like trash, even after I wrote her a $3500 check!
My dress was PERFECT - exactly what I wanted! The team at Miosa did an amazing job and they were always focused on providing excellent customer service. My dress fit me so well that the day before the wedding I was afraid I wouldn't be able to comfortably sit down in my dress - in a panic I called and stopped by in the 15 minutes I had between salon appointments and the rehearsal - my dress was altered oh so slightly so that it still fit beautifully and I was able to sit down (never for more that about 2 minutes)!
If you want a gown that fits your style and personality this is the perfect spot for you - it was for me!
Miosa Couture created a beautiful custom bridal wedding gown for me that was simply beautiful and tremendously stylish. The staff were courteous and very informative notifying us all the need to know tips we needed to know about the bridal wedding gown and also how they worked with me on getting idea’s of what I like and what I did not like really made the shopping experience very wonderful and peaceful. I had no bad experiences with Miosa Couture all I have to say about the shop is it was a very beautiful and well put together wedding shop. All of my guests were simply stunned by the creative and custom dress I received from them.
Wow! My dress turned out SO incredible! The owner of this great shop knew exactly what would look great on me. I was comfortable trying on as many dresses as it took and was treated like a princess through the entire process. Everything here is couture, so they took a million measurements to insure that my gown fit me like a glove! I truly can not say enough good things about my experience here - I just wish I could get married again so I could shop there once more!
Friendly as can be, professional, elegant, willing to do what it takes .... what else can I say - I LOVED my wedding gown!
I had the people at miosa design my veil, a three tiered beautiful design that dragged behind my dress as a train (as i didn't have a flowing dress). They also hemmed my dress, which had many darts. They made sure to make mention that I didn't buy my dress from them and how that affected the cost. When I came in to try the dress on after alterations, they told me "there are other girls waiting, so don't take too long". If you want quality work but to be treated like a second class citizen, miosa is the place.

One of our recent brides' dress was from Miosa Couture and she has ONLY wonderful things to say about Miosa, their customer service, their professionalism, and how much she loved her dress. After all the wonderful things she had to say about Miosa prior to the wedding we couldn't wait to see the dress. IT WAS STUNNING!! It was fit PERFECTLY to her! and Nikki was comfortable all day in it.
When a concern arose the day before the wedding about the snuggness of the dress, Miosa fit her in between appointments to quickly alter the dress before Nikki ran to her rehearsal dinner!
In an age where excellent customer service is hard to find, Miosa seems to be the real deal and understand the value of taking care of their brides!
We have recommended them to every bride we have spoken to ever since!
