miss kate's maids

I wish I experienced what other brides may had at this salon. When I arrived with my maid of honor to shop for her dress, we were treated very rudely. Penny, one of the consultants had a way of belittling me, the bride! The entire appointment was very negative.Then the ordering process was a nightmare. I have three weeks of unanswered emails and voicemails - which became an issue because we really loved the gown my MOH wanted, and needed to order promptly to avoid a rush fee. We would have went elsewhere, but we were unsure if Miss Kate's received the fax of my MOH's credit card information. I left endless, sweet messages on their voicemail, but calls were never returned (nor were the calls left by my MOH).Finally, I received an email after three weeks, where Kate excused the lack of communication, claiming she was overseas and was stuck there due to a volcano erupting.SO finally when we had the dress ordered and came to pick the dress up, we weren't greeted when we walked into the salon. No one was in sight (this was our appointment), the place was completely silent, so we just sort of stood there unsure what to do. Finally we heard a voice coming from an office call, "Jennifer?" We responded, "No, Melissa."The voice poked her head around the corner and said, "Oh hi!" and grabbed my MOH's dress and handed it to her. She was dressed in old jeans and a T-shirt, which ruins your dreamy vision of pretty bridal salons. Then she just went back to her desk!! My MOH and I weren't wished a happy wedding, or even given a goodbye. Here's the kicker - on our way out another bride entered to pick up her bridesmaids dresses. The consultant came right out of her office and gushed at the bride right in earshot of us heading out the door. My MOH spent $350 on a dress. For that amount, we should have been treated a lot better. I say avoid this salon. It's not worth the poor service. You want to be treated like the bride you are!!
