The idea of this service is wonderful, however it really needs improvement. I paid 1/2 price through Groupon and I still feel as though it wasn't worth it. This service (theoretically) makes it so that you don't have to go to multiple different sites to change your name - just enter your information into the fields they provide and it populates the forms for you for Social Security, driver's license, passport, etc. The fields on the website are not well-labeled or described, which I found out after I printed the forms - this was especially the case with the driver's license questions. Since I only changed my name after my marriage and not my address, I think it would have been easier for me to just go to the individual government websites to obtain the forms.

Check your DMV forms. I clearly checked off democratic party in the form online. On my way to dmv and I examined the printed out copy. Republican party was checked off. Had I not looked, I would have registered for the wrong party for me. SO MAKE SURE YOU QC YOUR FORMS!!!!

This is a great concept, but it basically provides the needed government documents (helpful) and then the rest is a form letter they've drafted for you to print and send to various companies stating that you've changed your name. Unfortunately, most companies require more than a letter to change your name, and will require their own forms and proof of identification. I was under the impression this service would have a database of forms you could fill out through their website, but that isn't the case. The letter to the bank actually says "Please update my account at your earliest convenience...including a new ATM card with my name". The bank isn't going to change your account and mail out an ATM card based on a letter! Honestly, you can find a list of what government forms you need for free if you google it, and the rest was pretty useless.

This site helped me save so much time in changing my last name, especially printing our forms that I could easily send to banks, professional associations, etc.! I would highly recommend this service to any bride considering a name change or hyphenation.

DO NOT EVEN BOTHER USING THIS IF YOU ARE IN THE MILITARY--- THEY CAN NOT SUPPORT YOU PERIOD. The fact that I am a LEGAL RESIDENT of state X and have a CURRENT MAILING address in state Y is too much for them to comprehend. they keep trying to give me forms for CA even though I am a NJ resident. My voter registration, DL and everything is in NJ, as in keeping with the LAW for ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE MEMBERS!!! the service rep actually told me to put my incorrect old mailing address to get the right state form, but doesn't understand that the right form with the wrong current mailing address is useless!!!

This is a total rip off and waste of time. I would have been better off to go to the NJ DMV site.

I have asked for a refund they are supposedly processing. We will see if I get my money back. what a waste. (oh yeah, don't even hope to find the MILITARY NAME CHANGE forms you need either, they won't know what those are. this people are...

I recently used this service to change my name and found it quite helpful, for two main reasons: 1. The checklists for what each institution (the SSA, DMV, National Passport Processing Center, etc.) needed was a good way to organize the material-- I used manila folders with the checklists paperclipped to the front of each one and contained therein were all the documents necessary for changing my name with that institution; and 2. It reminded me of several places that I wouldn't have thought to send a name change notice to: insurance, doctor's office, alumni associations, etc. I'm a bridesmaid in three weddings next year and plan on getting gift cards for all of them for the service.

This website would have probably been a big help if i was able to print out any of my forms. I emailed back and forth with the help desk as i was unable to ever do an online chat with them. I was told that their server was down and that was the reason that i could not print out my forms. 2 days later i then tried again to print them out and the same problems happened. I again had to email them to find out why i was unable to print them out and was told that i should be able to print them out no problems. STILL i am unable to print out any of my forms and will be going to to each place on my own. They did however get back to my emails in a very timely fashion which was nice and they were very nice when answering my questions if i was only able to get everything else to work. Personally i think it was a total waste of 30 dollars!

This service was terrible. It was more geared toward change of address, not change of last name. The forms for VT was not even the correct forms. I did not move I just got married and I spent the money thinking it would save me time but instead I wasted more time and money.

AWESOME concept...but doesn't really work for brides in certain states, like Texas. In Texas you have to physically go to the DMV to get your drivers license changed. The Social Security Administration requires your original, VALID drivers license (or passport) with your maiden name...no photocopies...and a certified copy of your marriage certificate. They don't tell you that when you're filling out the application. If you're willing to part with your drivers license or passport, then changing your name via mail is easy, but I had already gone to the DMV to get my name changed, and they clipped off the corner my license making it invalid, so the SSA rejected my application and I had to go to the offices with my passport and have my name changed in person. Also, check with your banks and other service proivders before signing up for this service. My banks required me to come in and change my name in person. You can very easily find most of the forms you need online, for free, if you just go to the company's websites or make a couple of quick phone calls. One thing I LOVED about MissNowMrs.com is that when I brought up these issues, they gave me an IMMEDIATE refund of the full amount and apologized for the inconvenience. Since almost all of my friends are in Texas, I would not recommend this vendor, but maybe it makes more sense in a different state.

I purchased this product for myself after getting married. It made changing my name SO SIMPLE. It even reminded me of things I would not have thought of (department credit cards, etc.). I have since purchased this service as a bridal shower gift for several friends. It is a must have! Saves tons of time and is user friendly. Their customer service is also amazing. I tend to do things last minute and had to ask them to send me a printable gift certificate since I didn't have time to wait for the gift card. I didn't even know where to start when it came to changing my name. I stumbled upon this while searching for other newly weds advice on changing names. I was a little hesitant because I wasn't sure I should pay anything for a couple of papers to be printed out but I'm so happy I did! I had everything changed so quickly after using the program. They don't make you put any personal information into their system it's all up to you how much you put down. For example, I'm sensitive about who I provide my SSN to do I wrote that in on all my papers after they were printed. Without this product, I would have been so lost in the world of changing my name and I probably would have missed a couple of places to talk to had this program not reminded me of it. I was so thrilled to find this service existed and so disappointed with how poorly it worked. The website didn't copy any of my information so it was equally as tedious as filling every form out by hand. It literally took me longer to try to figure out the website and put in all my information than it did to go to the DMV, SSA, and call all the companies I do business with and take care of things myself (which I did after wasting too much time on this website). It might be worth the money if you are easily confused by simple paperwork, or live somewhere with big companies and bad customer service, but for me it was $30 thrown away. Such a Bummer.

This company was awesome to work with! This process seemed daunting at first, but the help of MissNowMrs.com helped me immensely through every step.

I purchased MissNowMrs from a Groupon and am glad I did not pay the full $30 for it. They make it sound like all you have to do it fill out some forms and your name change will be all complete. You still have to take time and go to the DMV. The form you print out will not be correct so you will have to fill out the DMV card to change your name on your license and registration. You also cannot just mail a notification to the bank they will need you to go in because they will need you to sign a new signature card. The administrator for your health insurance will need to contact them to make any changes to the plan such as name and address changes so a letter is not going to suffice there either. Basically you can write your own notification letters for doctors and credit cards and mail them out with copies of your marriage certificate. I live in New Jersey and there is no short cut for changing your name. Take a half a day off work and do it the old fashion way and do it right.

It was very easy to use this website to find all the forms that I needed to change my name. It is true that you pay almost $30 but it is worth it. You type all your personal info and then print and mail all the forms. It is so nice to see how you start receiving all your documents by mail and you dont have to visit any office.
The best part is that it actually gives you a checklist of documents you need to include in the mailing.

While this website was helpful, I did not find it worth the money at all. I used it to fill out the first form to get a new social security card, but when I went to their office to file it, I found that I could have just filled it out there. All of the other name changes could either be done directly at the offices (for the ones that you have to do in person) or over the phone or via email. It was nice to have a check list of all the places that I needed to change my name, but you can find these lists online for free.

I didn't know where to start in terms of a name change. Missnowmrs. made a streamlined process with directions of what to send where and when both in my state (the site has all the states forms) and federally. The only problem I had was that sometimes the form provided wasn't the one I needed (DMV), but since i had the info with me on the sheet from missnowmrs, it made it easier nonetheless. I recommend this to anyone.

Eh... I would estimate this service saved me about an hour of time. I didn't have to hunt down certain forms online, and it did autofill a few of them with my info. Considering how busy I am, that was nice. Still, I had to do most of the work on my own. The credit card look up feature was useless, so I ended having to do all the research on my credits myself anyway.
I didn't have as complex of a name change process as some people might--I didn't move, so I didn't need to change my address on anything, and the car is in my husband's name so I didn't need to change any titles/registration. So, for other people, this service might help simplify those processes too, but still, it only saves you a small amount of time. I guess the question is how much you value your time, and whether the fee is worth saving an hour or two of your time.

I love the service all I had to do was take about 30 min out of my day to fill out the forms then mail them off. Can say its a bit pricely but when you thiking about the gas price now days and you driving to all those place and sitting there its worth it. You will have to take 1-2 days off to do all this. It is a good site. I got a 50% off coupon to use, so for about $10 or $15 (I don't remember) it was worth it to at least get this stuff organized and keep track of what I finished and what I still have left to do. This is mostly for organization and keeping track. With the info you input, it does fill out the forms for you so you can print and have them ahead of time. But you still have to do the legwork. No site out there can do all this for you without you having to go to the government offices. So for what it's worth, I like it. It's taking me a good while because of my work schedule.

Overall, you can do this all yourself. They make it seem like such a mystery, but with a little googling, you can find all these documents. Most of the lines that are automatically filled in is your standard info...name, address, phone etc. I was hoping there would be more help/descriptions on what each question means. It's difficult to rate something that is strictly online - there is no one there to rate other than the site. Anyway, from what I hear about this service and what is does are two different things. All I heard and read about this was that "it helps change your name" or that it "changes your name for you"… something to that effect.

While this site IS incredibly helpful, it automates and fills out the forms I need to send in. I fill in the blanks online, I print out the form, then I still have to either mail the forms or find an office to turn them in myself. At the end of each form, it prints everything I need to know or have in order to complete the process (ie. For a passport, you need to send in the form, a fee, your current passport, and two tiny pictures.) This definitely helps to get everything right the first time!

MissNowMrs.com helps decide what you need to change and personalizes the checklist and does all the prep-work for you- though it is not a magic name change service! :o( I just wish they could email these forms to the utilities at least...

This purchase was worth every penny. It saved me what I guess would have been hours of research by compiling all the things you need to think about in one place. It was like "Turbo Tax" for name changing - just fill in a few boxes, and it generates all the completed forms you need to notify those that you do business with of your new name.

I got this website from a friend who recently was married. I checked it out and browsed through some things then saw that you had to pay to use their services. I really didn't want to pay to use it when their are so many free websites out their that give you the same service. Not a fan of this service -- its documents aren't the latest you need to change your name in certain categories. In addition, the user interface is awful, and it doesn't give you very good directions regarding what information you're supposed to enter and why.
