It was very easy to use this website to find all the forms that I needed to change my name. It is true that you pay almost $30 but it is worth it. You type all your personal info and then print and mail all the forms. It is so nice to see how you start receiving all your documents by mail and you dont have to visit any office.
The best part is that it actually gives you a checklist of documents you need to include in the mailing.
I am very happy I used this website.

While this website was helpful, I did not find it worth the money at all. I used it to fill out the first form to get a new social security card, but when I went to their office to file it, I found that I could have just filled it out there. All of the other name changes could either be done directly at the offices (for the ones that you have to do in person) or over the phone or via email. It was nice to have a check list of all the places that I needed to change my name, but you can find these lists online for free.

Eh... I would estimate this service saved me about an hour of time. I didn't have to hunt down certain forms online, and it did autofill a few of them with my info. Considering how busy I am, that was nice. Still, I had to do most of the work on my own. The credit card look up feature was useless, so I ended having to do all the research on my credits myself anyway.
I didn't have as complex of a name change process as some people might--I didn't move, so I didn't need to change my address on anything, and the car is in my husband's name so I didn't need to change any titles/registration. So, for other people, this service might help simplify those processes too, but still, it only saves you a small amount of time. I guess the question is how much you value your time, and whether the fee is worth saving an hour or two of your time.

This site gives you a plan, fills out all of the forms, and even gives you directions to local offices - along with checklists to make sure you bring the right documentation with you. The only thing worse than a trip to the DMV is having to make a second trip if you forgot something!! Easy site, great customer service, smooth process. After the craziness of planning a wedding, this site is a lifesaver!!! It definitely saved me time and frustration. Do not assume that it send the forms for you, because it doesn't. However, if you decide to purchase, it is very helpful in saving time and searching for the correct forms for all of the places you will need to contact to change your name. I love the service all I had to do was take about 30 min out of my day to fill out the forms then mail them off. Can say its a bit pricely but when you thiking about the gas price now days and you driving to all those place and sitting there its worth it. You will have to take 1-2 days off to do all this. Meaning if you have passport credit cards more than one bank account and rental property it worth it but it you don't then go with the cheaper one. Just look at which one you really need.

What a great website! MissNowMrs.com was the site I used to keep track of all my name changing documents. All I needed in one place. Totally worth the money! It helps you update all of your name change information very quickly and efficiently, plain but simple and easy to use. All I had to do was answer questions and they filled out the papers generating all the completed forms you need to notify those that you do business with of your new name. Then I had to print them and mail them.

This service was a waste of money. I ended up only using 1 form they provided. You have to physically go to most of the government offices to change your name, so you can just get the forms while you are there. For most of my personal accounts, it was just a matter of a phone call to have my name changed. Don't waste your money!

This service is completely unnecessary. The directions were not clear, and I ended up having to go through all the seperate entities myself anyway. And they kept trying to give me address change forms, which was really annoying considering I'm not moving. Don't waste your money.

It is a good site. I got a 50% off coupon to use, so for about $10 or $15 (I don't remember) it was worth it to at least get this stuff organized and keep track of what I finished and what I still have left to do. This is mostly for organization and keeping track. With the info you input, it does fill out the forms for you so you can print and have them ahead of time. But you still have to do the legwork. No site out there can do all this for you without you having to go to the government offices. So for what it's worth, I like it. It's taking me a good while because of my work schedule.

Overall, you can do this all yourself. They make it seem like such a mystery, but with a little googling, you can find all these documents. Most of the lines that are automatically filled in is your standard info...name, address, phone etc. I was hoping there would be more help/descriptions on what each question means. I was particularily confused by the IRS form for example and still had to ask around what I should check (stalling the overall process). Overall, a waste of $30.

It's difficult to rate something that is strictly online - there is no one there to rate other than the site. Anyway, from what I hear about this service and what is does are two different things. All I heard and read about this was that "it helps change your name" or that it "changes your name for you"… something to that effect.

While this site IS incredibly helpful, it automates and fills out the forms I need to send in. I fill in the blanks online, I print out the form, then I still have to either mail the forms or find an office to turn them in myself. At the end of each form, it prints everything I need to know or have in order to complete the process (ie. For a passport, you need to send in the form, a fee, your current passport, and two tiny pictures.) This definitely helps to get everything right the first time!

MissNowMrs.com helps decide what you need to change and personalizes the checklist and does all the prep-work for you- though it is not a magic name change service! :o( I just wish they could email these forms to the utilities at least...

This purchase was worth every penny. It saved me what I guess would have been hours of research by compiling all the things you need to think about in one place. It was like "Turbo Tax" for name changing - just fill in a few boxes, and it generates all the completed forms you need to notify those that you do business with of your new name.

I got this website through a few friends who recently got married and when I checked out the website and saw some of the things that they offer, but then saw that you had to pay to use their services, I really did not want to have to pay to use this service when I have also found that there are many free websites that give you the same service. If you do not mind doing some research, I would recommend that you check out both options. My friend, however, swears by it and if I was not so computer savvy, I would have gone through them.

They do not save you any time at all! I thought that it would actually process this information for you- you can go to the SSN website yourself and for the drivers license you have to go in person and fill out their form (they didn't accept the one I already printed from missnowmrs) anyway. Complete waste of money.
You still have to wait in the lines and you still have to fill out the paperwork - don't bother!

I got this website from a friend who recently was married. I checked it out and browsed through some things then saw that you had to pay to use their services. I really didn't want to pay to use it when their are so many free websites out their that give you the same service. I'm sure it helps a lot but if you don't mind doing a little extra work I wouldn't recommend it.

Not a fan of this service -- its documents aren't the latest you need to change your name in certain categories. In addition, the user interface is awful, and it doesn't give you very good directions regarding what information you're supposed to enter and why.

I signed up for MissNowMrs.com in frustration after trying to make a game plan as to how to change my name. While the checklist of all the forms and places you need to contact and in what order was great and extremely helpful, I had some trouble with the auto populating forms. I ended up having to reprint most of them and fill them out by hand anyway. I'm not sure the checklist alone is worth the price.

Although this service serves as a reminder for all the places you need to contact for name changes it doesn't really save you any time. For the price I can download and fill out all the forms from the various places needed for free and it doesn't change the fact that you still need to go stand in line at the SSA and DL division etc.

This was one of the easiest processes of the entire wedding. I like that there is a website that can help walk you through the confusing and cumbersome process of a name change, but $30 is a bit much for simply filling in all the paperwork you then need to print off and send in anyways. I did like that everything is in one spot, and for the busy new bride it is a help. If you are trying to be frugal, maybe choose the old fashioned way.

Wow how much do I love this service? It's organized, accurate, easy to use and a time saver. I've been able to get all the paperwork done to change my name in a week. Friends of mine who went through the process on their own took so much longer (months!) and were so much more frustrated. When I was born I used my mother's maiden name. Then she got married and I was legally adopted including my last name being changed. When I got married I wanted to change my middle name to by my mother's maiden name (which was mine on my birth certificate), not mine. I printed all the forms and sent them out only to find out that is not possible until I get a court order. Missnowmrs did not warn me! Now it has been a huge hassle to get my name changed.

easy but costs more than i'd expect to pay

The process of changing your name CAN be overwhelming at first, and there are lots of bridal websites out there that make you feel like you will screw up if you try to do it on your own, and so I thought a service like this would be helpful and worth the money. It wasn't. It didn't provide me with the correct form for the DMV so I had to look it up myself anyway, which completely defeats the purpose of using the service. After that I doubted the accuracy of all the other forms it gave me, so I ended going to each website on my own anyway. I realized that the government websites were actually quite helpful on their own. I wrote them to ask for a refund, and they were very responsive and did refund my money, which I appreciated. I did like the idea of the site, however it needs some improvements to make sure it provides accurate information.

I debating using this but it seemed like it would make it one step easier. It really just helped me make sure I brought all the right forms of ID.

A friend told me about this website and I signed up. I wasn't in a hurry to change my name (even though my husband was!), but this definitely helped move me along. It made it quite easy and organized. All of the forms were generated with the info I provided and all I had to do was the legwork (which cannot be avoided)... like mailing and going to the sec of state office. Overall, definitely worth the $30.

I don't really recommend this service. I paid for the complete package- and I appreciated the "name change checklist"- but when I brought my completed forms to all my local government offices, no one even looked at the forms. They simply took my marriage certificate and my drivers license and did the rest for me. I ended up throwing out most of the forms.
I have emailed the company for a refund, as I actually wasted time filling out the foms online! We'll see if I get a refund.

OK. I knew going into this that I could do all of this on my own but figured it would be worth the $30-$40 buck to have someone help with the check list and organization of this daunting task.

The checklist is great however this service just populates form letters for you. So, A. if you have Adobe standard you can do this yourself. B. If you can do this online why use snail mail? For example:

I paid extra money to get copies of my marriage certificate through them and for $5 they gave me a letter requesting it and telling me where to send it! I live blocks away from City Hall, I thought they would actually do it for me on line. In fact City Hall san Francisco does have a website where you can request copies on line and they will be mailed to you or you can pick them up. Sending a letter (buying stamps, puttig it in a an envelope waiting three days fro them to get it) is simply not worth me paying $5.

Fortunately when I complained they refunded my money.

Bottom line is you still have to go to the places and do the work yourself and the information is free on the internet. If your time is valuable then having their list is worth it, otherwise just research the info yourself.

My only suggestion would be if we could actually fill out the forms and submit them to the appropriate place right on-line, without having to print out the forms and mail them in.

I wouldn't recommend using the site for only changing your driver's license and social security. I paid $20 just to print out the same forms I could have printed out online for free. In fact, for my CA driver's license I printed out a paper saying that in CA you can't fill out any forms online so here's the DMV phone number. That was it. It didn't save me any hassle. Perhaps if you're looking to use the bigger package it might be beneficial, but not for the smaller one.
