Missy Cochran - Photographer

My Husband and I hired Artisan Photographics co-owner Missy Cochran for our Fall 2008 wedding. We had sat down as a couple and come up with our top 3 most important things that we wanted to incorporate into the wedding and our budget 1-Small Family wedding (40 guests) 2-Good Food 3-Great Photographer. We got everything we wished for with Artisan Photographics. They combined the perfect balance of both highly Artistic and Classic photography, brilliant use of color, and high attention to detail. Some of my favorite shots were not even of people but the details she portrayed in out church, reception, and decorations. Missy has the ability to disappear among your guests and capture true to person expressions from even the most camera shy. She is extremely creative and takes the time to get to know her subjects so everything comes out incredibly personal. Artisan is continually re-inventing itself and honing their skills so you are always getting that much more than you expected. They have an unparalleled eye for capturing all the things that we felt made up a gorgeous photograph- Detail, Color, Angle, Lighting, Setting and Subject. View their work and you understand immediately what drew us to it.

We originally had no intention of ordering an album at the beginning of our process but liked her work so much and especially the kind of album she designed that we tweaked our modest wedding budget to incorporate one into our contract. For the total cost referenced (3,650.00--note this is Sept 2007 contract pricing)we received: all day wedding and reception shoot, 2 hours of designated couple shoot pre-wedding, 4 hour engagement shoot on location where we got engaged in Cannon Beach (soooo much fun!), a CD of all of the pictures from the wedding day to print at our disposal (un-retouched), and a 16 page bound album designed by Missy with the photographs Collaged and Printed into a wedding story directly onto the page (note: Artisan chooses most of the photo's that go into the album as they have a feel for what format/pics work best).

They were worth the investment. It is clearly the best money we knew would be spent when we began our wedding planning process. The pictures from those moments were the only thing we would walk away with-- not the cake, not the food or location or even the dress (this is coming from a girl who bought her wedding dress on Craig's list for $200). Her photographs documented and captured the true FEELING of the day. Her album has enabled us to revisit and surround ourselves with the happiness and incredible moments our wedding encompassed. I encourage you to interview and cultivate a relationship with Artisan Photographics -- they will become YOUR photographer.
