Mistycal Weddings

Greetings Brides to be,
Misty Reese began working with me in July 2005 for my wedding on July 29, 2006. My wedding was a “destination wedding” in South Lake Tahoe at The Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course with 100 guests. The event began with a rehearsal dinner/cocktail reception on the Friday evening and continued through to breakfast with family late Sunday morning.

Misty helped coordinate the entire weekend event including:
• Provided color-coded spreadsheets that listed monthly “to-dos” in order of priority for each member of the wedding party. These were e-mailed to each wedding party monthly
• Helped choose the right location site for the entire wedding
• Provided etiquette and “wedding traditions” books, and magazines for my perusal
• Arrangement of guest accommodations
• Creating a personalized ceremony (order of events, readings, etc.)
• Designing ceremony, reception décor and table settings (including bridal party attire)
• Choosing all stationary (including Save the Date, invitations, maps, etc.)
• Assisting with seating arrangements
• Printing of ceremony programs
• Managing all vendors (ceremony & reception location, restaurants, band, harpist, cake, flowers, wedding party and guest transportation to site location, etc.)
• Overseeing set-up and clean-up of the ceremony and reception site on the day of
• Running last minute errands the day of
• Fielding all of my cell phone calls from family and friends the day of the wedding
• Throughout the year of planning Misty was available for phone meetings, vendor meetings, our personal meetings in my home, and was diligent with e-mail.

I must confess that I am a bit of a control freak, and Misty was a great balance. Misty understood that it was my day and made it clear, through her actions, that she too wanted everything to be exactly how I envisioned. She had great ideas and tons of connections with vendors of all sorts, and took me to meet with some very creative local people with unique and personalizable products that I wouldn’t have been able to find without her.

Misty went above and beyond what I could even imagine needing help with, and was able to surpass all my expectations when it came to the final week before the wedding, and the actual wedding day. My destination wedding was fabulous! Misty helped make it as stress-free as I could have asked for. The wedding ceremony and reception were amazing, and all of my guests had a memorable time. When I woke up in the morning all my keepsakes, guestbook, extra programs, gifts, etc., were tucked away neatly in my car, leftover wedding cake was being refrigerated by our hotel, and all the vendors had been paid. She had arranged every last detail!
