Great guy, and great work! I was extremely happy with the process beforehand and his performance the day of. He showed up early, and kept us posted during the reception of the things that we needed to keep tabs on. Great personality and very professional. Wholehearted recommendation, and I would definitely choose him if I had to do it all over again.

I can not say enough wonderful things about my DJ. He was my favorite vendor! He met with us twice before the wedding and had great suggestions for the timeline of events. Any songs that I gave him on my must play list he either had or he bought with no charge to me.
He was not able to play the one song we had given him a cd of on the day-of, something had apparently happened to the cd so that it wouldn’t play, but I won’t hold that against him. He played a good mix of music and read the crowd well. If one song didn’t get a lot of dancers he instantly reworked his song choices. My guests enjoyed themselves and so did I. Although I didn’t hear many of the songs I had requested I won’t fault him for that because we had told him that we’d rather he read the crowd than play the music we had requested.
He was not cheesy and did not force any guests to dance or play random games. He was classy and everyone loved him!

Damon was a complete professional. He was easy to work with and not one bit cheezy. He has the highest quality equipment and backup equipment, ready for any situation. He supplied our officiant and DH with the ceremony microphones and had an extra microphone for our friend/singer. He also showed up early for her to be able to rehearse. He was an absolute joy to work with and played great music.

Damon Tedesco is the best DJ in Los Angeles. He was our DJ for our May 2009 wedding; we were very pleased with his services. He listened to me and my husband's musical preferences and played precisely what we wanted to hear. He was not cheesy or wanting to speak into the microphone every chance he got. He is very easy to work with, responsive and doesn't have his own agenda. He is very professional and laidback at the same time. We met with him 2 times before the wedding, just to go over and refine the details for the wedding. We knew we were in good hands with Damon and didn't have to worry. We got married in February 2009, at the Langham Huntington Hotel and Spa in Pasadena, and Damon handled the music for the wedding ceremony (and the pre-ceremony mingling). He was fantastic. He had a gracious demeanor, looked great in his suit, and he handled everything professionally and flawlessly. The music sounded great and was the right volume, the officiant's mic worked perfectly, and everything went smoothly. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, he was a joy to work with, and was always on top of everything--didn't bug us, but didn't let anything fall through the cracks either. I can't speak too highly of him--he's extremely competent, professional, and a pleasure to work with.

We found Damon through a referral and we were so happy with him! What we liked most about him was that he really listened to us and wanted the music to be a reflection of us. He even asked us for our top 20 must-have songs and also a list of the songs we couldn't stand!! We have been to weddings before where the DJs would not honor the guests' song requests so we asked him ahead of time to play ANY request even if it was on our "songs we hate" list. He happily played our guests' requests and was also able to read the crowd and keep many generations happy.

He is flexible, kind, and professional. He put our minds at ease and got everyone movin' and shakin' on the dance floor.

Damon was exceptional in skill and professionalism, a pleasure to deal with from the very first phone conversation. Damon took the interest in understanding our needs, likes and dislikes about the entire wedding and not just about the music. While we may not have been completely organized with a song list, etc, we knew what we liked and Damon filled in the rest beautifully. The cocktail hour and reception were a hit and we believe he really made the event come alive and set the mood! There were no grandstand comics or mic-hogs, just sheer professionalism with great music. Damon came with a very high recommendation from a family friend and after using him for our wedding reception, my wife and I agree that he is the best! We sent him the list of songs we wanted and asked him to add some of his own based on the styles we chose (which included everything from oldies to rap) and he did exactly what we asked without any problems whatsoever. With the millions of things you have to worry about when planning a wedding, the last thing we wanted to be concerned with was the music, and thanks to Damon, we never were. Another huge plus was that he was not obtrusive to the reception at all...no cheesy announcer voices, no annoying cliches on the mic. He professionally announced what we asked him to and kept the entire party organized. Due to the fact that Damon Tedesco was recommended to us, my wife and I thought it would be nice to recommend him to anyone looking for the best wedding dj available!

I interviewed several DJs. Damon by far was the most professional. He had great input and had absolutely no attitude.

Working with vendors can be very, very challenging. He was one vendor that made it super easy. His directions were cleared and he followed-up as promised. I did not need to "chase him down" to confirm appointments, etc. No micro-managing required with Damon.

Damon completely followed all directions to a tee. For example, for my entrance, our officiant had queued me to begin walking down the aisle -- to the wrong music. The processional song was still playing. For whatever reason, our officiant thought I was walking down at that time. He would not stop motioning me and my uncle to walk down the aisle. We just stood there. Awkward. Anyway, our officiant was confused. However, Damon was not. He knew exactly what song I requested for the entrance. He saved the moment and quickly starting playing Edelweiss. Total save!!!

As for the wedding reception, he did a fantastic job on reading the crowd. He played the songs we selected (our top 25 songs + other various milestone songs). He also knew when to switch up the music based on the guests. The dance floor was full for the entire reception. We even had him play an hour longer than planned because the guests would not stop dancing!

He definitely contributed to making our wedding a fun, memorable event.

For continuity we asked our photographer (Meg Perotti) what DJ she likes to work with. Without hesitation she said Damon Tedesco! Don't be fooled by his professional appearance because this guy rocks (if you want him too). My fiancee and I had a very un-traditional cocktail party style wedding in a back yard in Palos Verdes. The music was very important in keeping the tempo of the party and transitioning from through each phase of our wedding. Damon nailed it. We only gave him genres to work with and he seamlessly merged our eclectic music styles together and still was able to mix in some requests. He was great at "reading" the crowd and playing the right music at the right time. He was a big part of our awesome wedding. Thanks Damon!

I noticed in other peoples' reviews of Damon that many mentioned that "the dance floor was packed all night." This was so true. We unexpectedly had uncles, parents of friends, etc tearing up the dance floor! It was great.

If you don't want one more thing to stress about when planning an event, then you need Damon as your DJ. Damon is very professional and cares about your day and your vision. We chose about 90% of the songs that he played, there were no surprises and no disappointments.

But we knew we like Damon because he was the DJ for my two sisters' weddings!! Now it was my turn and picking a DJ couldln't have been easier. You will not be disappointed. Damon knows what song is appropriate for the moment, he creates a natural flow throughout the event. He will run through the entire event with you in 15 minute intervals to make sure he knows everything you want and don't want, leaving you reassured and relieved.

Damon is exceptional! I worked with him and as an officiant he is a dream come true. He cares about making sure the Bride and Groom have exactly what they want and so is a real team player. He took time to review the music cues and asked great questions so that everything would be perfect during the ceremony. One of the things that is most important is that on this very special day, even your vendors look appropriate...Damon looked great in his beautiful suit and anyone would be proud to have him at their wedding. I highly recommend him with enthusiasm and look forward to working with him again!!

Damon was awesome! He's a professional and has great taste. We selected music for the dinner hour and the main music (first dance, cake cutting, etc.) but for the dancing portion, we just let him do what he wanted. That was a great decision, he kept everyone on the dance floor till the end and people were really enjoying themselves. Damon is 100% not cheesy, we did not have YMCA or the chicken dance! He doesn't promote himself like other DJs, he doesn't make cheesy jokes, and he was a great time keeper for the reception. We couldn't be happier with Damon!

During our first meeting in Damon's home studio, we realized early on that we wanted him to be the DJ for our wedding. At each step along the way, he confirmed that we made the right decision. We appreciated the time that he took to prepare the sample cds of potential songs for our special dances. We had a special production during our wedding and Damon went above and beyond to make this happen seemlessly and professionally (and to keep it as a surprise for the Groom). Overall, we were very pleased with the entertainment during dinner and dancing. We received many compliments and, more importantly, the dance floor remained full.

Damon was the DJ at our August 16th wedding and I cannot say enough
good things about him. He was the first DJ we interviewed. He was
extremely professional and answered all of our questions. We decided to
hire him right there for the ceremony and wedding reception.

When we started having problems picking out some of the songs we needed
(processional, recessional, etc.), he let us meet with him again to
give us advice and he even burned us a cd with possible music choices
for us to think about. On the day of he wedding, he did everything we
planned on. He set up at the ceremony and played everything that we
had talked about. After the ceremony, he moved his equipment to the
reception hall. He was a great mc, not cheesy like other posters have
said, and he helped keep the reception moving. He played all of the
songs we wanted and he read the crowd perfectly to keep everyone on the
dance floor.

He is terrific...you will not regret hiring him as your DJ.

We are so happy we hired Damon! He is one of the nicest people, and is organized, professional, and trustworthy. He reads the crowd well and had everyone, including my parents (a huge feat) dancing all night long. He is a professional sound engineer too, so he did a great job with sound during our outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour. The night flowed really well -- he timed the required first dance, cake cutting, etc. perfectly. He was able to take any song requests too. All we wanted from our DJ was great music and everyone dancing and he accomplished that and more!

We live in the SF Bay Area, but had our wedding in Southern CA. Therefore, nearly all of our wedding planning had to be done remotely - which can be pretty challenging since you're never sure what you're going to get. Thankfully, Damon was great. We were really looking for a DJ that could keep the wedding moving along, read a crowd well, and get people to dance. Damon did all 3 - and did them exceptionally well.

Since my now-husband and I had no idea what to do for processional and recessional music, Damon sent us two CDs of song options that we might like. We ended up selecting a recessional song from the CD he sent. He also helped in ensuring that the reception stayed on schedule and provided great dancing music which our guests loved.

We really had no interest in a slick, sales-y DJ who wanted to sell us an 'experience'. Damon always presented himself as professional, honest, and genuninely interested in doing a great job. We couldn't have asked for more.

Damon was amazing. My husband and I met with him the first time about a year before our wedding. We were immediately impressed and at ease. His knowledge of music is expansive and he clearly had a lot of experience. His personality was very sweet and outgoing, not at all aggressive or dramatic. We Hired him on the spot. We wanted someone that would play the music and help keep the dancing going without trying to insert cheesy DJ. Damon was not cheesy DJ, Damon was awesome DJ! He played the songs for our ceremony, cued perfectly without a snag! played the cocktail hour of the genre we specified (we basically just gave him the genre and he played exactly that! no weird songs that didnt fit) the reception was perfect, everyone danced the entire time- he kept the night moving along so smoothly, no train wrecks. He also recommended other vendors as well, and they all were so great! He was certainly an integral part to our wedding that we will remember forever. I would highly recommend Damon to my best friend. He was outstanding! Very Professional.

Also, my nephew was fascinated by the mixing table and the music that Damon played. He ended up behind the table with Damon wearing a pair of headphones! Damon was so cute to let him "play" DJ, all the while keeping the dance floor packed. My nephew now wants to be a DJ inspired by Damon. He will remember that forever!!

A DJ can really make or break a wedding, so you can imagine my delight to discover such an incredible DJ! Damon accommodated our every need and even made an awesome 80s mix for our first dance!! He was incredibly responsive all night and kept everyone on their feet, despite our growing blisters. Everything flowed so easily, from the invocation to the toasts to the first dance to the cake cutting--it was seamless. When you have such a competent DJ running the show, you can really relax and enjoy the night; I really valued that!

Working with Damon was a pleasure. From our first meeting he was friendly, efficient, and extremely professional. I loved that he was very easy to get in touch with and always prompt with follow-up; I never had to chase him down, nor did I ever doubt for a second that he'd show up on time and do everything that he had promised to do.

At our reception, he did everything we had asked him to do without a hitch- the introductions were perfect (despite a lot of difficult Greek names in the wedding party!), he played great music (working from a very general list we had given him) and he was very charming and subtle with the rest of the MC'ing throughout the night. We also had a band as well, and he did a fantastic job alternating between his DJ'ing and their music smoothly. He helped make our day so much fun, we'll never forget it!

We absolutely loved working with Damon! We only had to meet with him once and immediately knew he would do an amazing job. It always bothers me when we go to a wedding and you can only hear the Officiant and not the Bride and Groom. One of the best parts is hearing the exchanging of vows. Luckily with Damon he offers a Ceremony option with wireless mics so all of our guests even in the way back could hear not only our Officiant, but they could also hear us and share in the moment. :)

We had a great flow from the ceremony to cocktail hour and then to the reception. Damon played all of our requested songs, but we also wanted him to read the crowd and see what they were feeling and he did an awesome job! He kept the dance floor full the whole evening and we got so many compliments from our guests about Damon and the music. We cannot recommend him enough!

Not sure there's much to add that hasn't already been said. Damon is the BEST! He's professional, friendly, easy-going, reliable, trustworthy, organized, and fun. We planned our wedding remotely from NY, so there's a lot of uncertainty that comes with that. We never doubted our choice of Damon for a second, and it panned out perfectly. One funny story: one of my wife's best friends apparently requested a song and was rebuffed by Damon, because he understood our musical taste SO WELL that he knew we wouldn't like it. Damon Tedesco did an incredible job for our wedding. He did all the sound for the Ceremony which was a little complicated as we had both a Rabbi and a Priest. He was able to mic them so everyone could hear as well as play the right music at the right time! We also had a quartet during part of the Ceremony and reception before dinner that he also set up mics for. We had a live band during the main reception and his music complimented them enormously. He played music styles that the band didn't play so nothing was over done. His experience as a sound mixer really helped when it came to the sound for the band too. He set up all the microphones for the live singers and musicians. He really knows how to read a crowd and got everyone going on the dance floor. It was the best party ever and that's what we really wanted. He was organized, professional, punctual, fun to work with and most importantly has great taste in music and masses of choices. I highly recommend him.

Damon Tedesco epitomized professionalism. He was attentive and thorough in the planning stages, punctual and prepared while setting up, and classy throughout the ceremony and reception. He provided all the audio equipment we needed for the entire event and did a great job setting up the microphones, amplification, etc for the live acoustic musicians we had at the ceremony and also for the officiant. He was very perceptive during the reception, reading the room well so that the background music during the dinner created a nice mood and wasn't intrusive and the dancing/party music after dinner got people up and on the dance floor having a great time. Friends of mine who never dance even joined in! I can't recommend him enough.

Damon was stellar, mixing our favorite tunes with brilliantly random songs that segued perfectly. I don't know how he did it, but it was amazing. My wife and I wanted a wedding that was special without worrying over every little detail, and Damon fit our needs precisely. Damon was great. He was very responsive leading up to the wedding. My husband and I had NO IDEA what music we wanted played for the wedding ceremony. Damon literally made us a CD of good music that he has used in the past, and let us pick. This was amazingly helpful and took a lot of the stress out of this step. He has a huge list of music and allowed us to decide exactly how "hands-on" we were going to be in the selection. We gave him not only a "play" and "do not play" list, but also gave him direction as to what type of music to play at certain times (during cocktail hour, during dinner, and during dancing) and he completely stuck to it. He respected all of our "do not play" wishes, really listened to us, as far as what we wanted played, was very responsive to emails leading up to the wedding, etc. Most importantly, he didn't try and do dj patter and make it the Damon show. It was all about us all night. He was a great MC. For us, music was probably the most important part of the reception and we wanted it to be exactly right. Damon got it exactly right. Simply put, Damon was phenomenal. He is a breath of fresh air in an indstury that reeks of cheese. I planned my wedding from across the country, and it just so happened that he was free to meet one afternoon while I was in town. He invited me to his home for our first consultation, which was really accommodating, since my schedule was tightly packed. His manner put me completely at ease, and it was clear that we felt the same way about the DJ's role at a wedding - he's there to keep the music playing and help move things along, but in a backstage, behind-the-scenes kind of way. So many DJs use a wedding as a platform for their own posturing and goofy gimmicks - I'm not the type of person to say the wedding is all about the bride, but it's definitely not all about the DJ! Damon made me feel 100% confident that with him as our DJ, it would be all about class. He was extremely flexible and accessible, which is crucial for someone planning long-distance, and whatever questions I had or ideas I gave him, he followed up and knew just what to do. His announcements were crisp and clear, and he worked well with the waitstaff and other vendors to coordinate the first dances, meal service, etc. He played music that was right in line with our tastes, and the dance floor was almost never empty. I surprised my husband with a serenade at the reception, and Damon had the accompaniment CD ready to go. He even had me listen ahead to make sure it was the right track. That kind of attention to detail and readiness made everything go smoothly the whole night. The DJ can either make or break a wedding, and Damon's ego-free style definitely "made it." A month later, our guests are still talking about how classy the wedding was, and I attribute a great deal of that to him.

Damon Tedesco is a fantastic, professional DJ. We were absolutely thrilled with Damon's music choices and "hosting" of our wedding. Everything went entirely according to plan, and when little stuff came up - like how I forgot to put my dad's toast on the schedule - he handled it beautifully (no-one, including my dad or my groom, ever knew I forgot!). I was, of course, in "bride-mode" but I kept noticing through the haze of activity all our favorite songs AND all our favorite artists - he intuited what we would like from the lists we gave him and conversations we had with him. The microphone/toasts was perfect, he were perfect and our wedding was perfect. I whole-heartedly recommend him to you.

Excellence, Perfection, Genuine are just a few words that only begin to describe Damon and his talents as a DJ. It was very important to my husband and I that we not have the "typical" wedding songs you hear at every wedding. Since Damon has such a strong musical background his library and music knowledge is very refreshing. I wanted to surprise by new husband by singing a song with a live band backing me up. Damon is also a professional sound engineer and made us all sound great. Even me, who doesn't sing. ;) He listened to what we wanted and provided perfect song choices all night. Besides all of this Damon is an all around wonderful guy. In a world where weddings are all about business it was great to deal with someone who is all about making your night a memorable one.

We had Damon play the tunes for our 20th Wedding Anniversary combined with my 50th birthday..He was the best. He was very easy to work with, we had a 70's theme. He played all the right songs for us!! Not too much disco but enough to get everyone on the floor and he played my favorite classic rock stuff too!! It was an amazing night..he even dressed up in 70's gear like the rest of us. I only wish I danced more..if only could have a party like this every year..Damon made it a blast!! I too loved that he did not paly games and coerce the crowd into dancing or games..it just happened naturally!! Thanks Damon!!

Damon was the best. We have had people weeks after our wedding compliment the music and comment on the fact that people of all ages were dancing all night. There was never a lull in the activity and everything flowed seamlessly. He was open to what we wanted and took what we liked and expanded upon it. Damon was an incredible addition to our ceremony and reception, providing 2 sound systems in different locations on the property. All of his equipment was top of the line, matched with his ability to use it to its fullest potential. FANTASTIC! Great guy with amazing knowledge of music, excellent technical skills and the ability to read a crowd. Damon spent about an hour with us a few weeks before the wedding discussing our musical tastes and on the day, truly created a flow of music that enhanced and never detracted from the event. He was flexible on the day of, when we made several last minute changes in the order of events (other vendors were not so awesome about this!). He was able to manage a complicated mic set up for our outdoor ceremony: two officiants (a Rabbi and a Medicine Man) both with individual body mics, one floating mic for our seven bridesmaids and seven groomsmen to each reading individual blessings (sheva brachot) and then two mics on stands for our vocalists. And he did all of it perfectly without even getting a sound check. We had a crazy, demanding wedding and this guy kept a cool demeanor and performed perfectly the whole night.Oh! And best of all, our dance floor was overflowing the whole night!!! Thank you so much Damon! You rock!!!

Damon was one of my most reliable and professional vendors. He was always available via e-mail or a phone call to discuss the wedding music, made my husband and I feel at ease thoughout the process, and was worth every penny! He had the dance floor packed all night with a super mix of music to meet everyone's needs. People did not want to leave at the end of the night. I have been to some weddings where the DJ takes over and is constantly on the mic. Damon is not like that - he plays the music and keeps the focus on the bride, groom, and guests. What I most appreciated about Damon was that he genuinely seemed to care about us and wanted to do everything possible to make our night memorable. Another thing to note is that all of my other vendors knew him and spoke highly of him.

He had a great energy at our wedding, played everything we requested, and had a great variety of music - anything our guests suggested ended up in the mix. Now, if I could just get the courage to leave the woman I did marry, I'd be able to hire him again (just kidding, honey).

For continuity we asked our photographer (Meg Perotti) what DJ she likes to work with. Without hesitation she said Damon Tedesco! Don't be fooled by his professional appearance because this guy rocks (if you want him too). My fiancee and I had a very un-traditional cocktail party style wedding in a back yard in Palos Verdes. The music was very important in keeping the tempo of the party and transitioning through each phase of our wedding. Damon nailed it. We only gave him genres to work with and he seamlessly merged our eclectic music styles together and still was able to mix in some requests. He was great at "reading" the crowd and playing the right music at the right time. He was a big part of our awesome wedding. Thanks Damon!I noticed in other peoples' reviews of Damon that many mentioned that "the dance floor was packed all night." This was so true. We unexpectedly had uncles, parents of friends, etc tearing up the dance floor! It was great.

Damon was our DJ for our May 9, 2009 wedding. I can't say enough about Damon. He was awesome!Let's just say my husband is picky when it comes to music and he didn't want a cheesy DJ. I told Damon upfront that we were both picky about the music and that didn't matter to him. He was so easy to work with and what ever we wanted was fine by him! I knew with Damon I didn't have anything to worry about! Damon played everything we asked him to play and he also picked songs that were exactly us! He was very professional and just a nice guy! I received SO many compliments about the music (all generations were happy) and the flow of the wedding! I even had people ask if they could get a copy of the list of songs played. Our guests had such a good time! With Damon as your DJ you will not be disappointed. I can't recommend him enough!

Damon is a professional through and through. We met with him only once, and he immediately understood our style and what we wanted. He offered suggestions that were smart and was conscientious about what we didn't want. On the wedding day, Damon was on time, did a fast and thorough set up for all our prearranged plans, was well dressed and had a smile for all who spoke to him. The ceremony went perfectly, the sounds was amazing, even with a waterfall nearby. The dancing never ended and he had even worked out a musical surprise with my mom that was the hit of the evening. Damon will create the perfect atmosphere for your wedding and we couldn't recommend him more highly. Thanks Damon!

Overall, Damon did an absolutely fantastic job and we would hire him again. He DJ'd our wedding in June 2010 -- he came highly recommended from our wedding photographer, and his referrals were glowing. He was flexible throughout the entire process, including offering to make a game time decision about extending his services for an hour if the party was still roaring when we were scheduled to shut down. He listened to our suggestions, and he followed the flow he outlined for us at the actual wedding (in terms of types of music -- we wanted some more modern music in the beginning, with the oldies in the middle). There was only one song that didn't go over well with the crowd (which was clearly within the type of music we had discussed playing, so no one's mistake), and he adjusted immediately and got the party back on track. He's not overly talky on the mic. Only one negative comment -- he didn't play absolutely EVERY song on our must play list, but he played all of the important ones and some that were better than our initial suggestions.

Damon was our only real splurge vendor, and we picked him based on all of these PW reviews. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was a little disappointed the day of the wedding. He unexpectedly cut our first dance song 1.5 minutes short, which was very upsetting to us. He also flubbed the name of the best man (introducing him with the name of one of the other groomsmen).

We had spent hours upon hours coming up with a comprehensive "must play" song list per Damon's request, but we did not hear half of the songs on the list (though to Damon's credit, there was only about an hour of dancing after dinner before the guests started leaving in droves). Also, the first 6-8 songs he played were all modern, fast songs, which I felt alienated some of the older guests, most of whom left pretty quickly after the dancing started (I think because there weren't any songs that appealed to them). Contrary to the other reviewers, our dance floor was pretty empty, which I think was in part due to the fact that there was little variety in the type of music he played. Damon also did not play any of the slow songs on our list, to the point where we had to have our coordinator go to him and request that he mix some slow songs in there.

There were some good points - Damon did a great job with the dinner music, provided good guidance during the song selection process, and as other reviewers have stated, he is not cheesy at all. But I feel that I can't recommend him given the fact that we will never be able to have our full first dance back, and because I didn't feel that there was much variety in the type of music he played in the first 20-30 minutes, which really set the tone for the wedding.

Damon is absolutely Wonderful! He Looks great and is so polished. He is Professional, On Time and better than that..Early!!! As an officiant, the person providing ceremony music and sound is critical to the success of the ceremony. I custom design every ceremony with each couple and they chose music to highlight and accent some of the most poignant moments as they marry, so to work with someone as "on top of it" as Damon makes what I do easier and a pleasure,I highly recommend Damon and look forward to working with him again soon!!!
