I just simply cannot say enough about Alexandra! She was absolutely incredible!!! I'm not used to wearing any makeup and not only did Alexandra make easily accommodated me and I felt like a natural beauty - I completely comfortable too! If I do say so myself thanks to Alexandra I looked gorgeous - a beautiful blushing bride. And the wonderful women that stood up for me looked absolutely gorgeous too!! If you want the best person to do your wedding makeup you've found her!!!

I hired Alexandra through a wedding marketplace after seeing her work on her website, a decision I do not regret. After attending several bridal shows I realized two things: The city of Toronto is littered with bad photographers and even worse makeup artist. Alexandra's online portfolio was a breath of fresh air, and I bought my voucher immediately. Leading up to the wedding, she kept in constant contact, even when she had to chase me. I sent her some inspiration pics to give her an idea of the look I was after, and they were well received. The day of I was running about 45 minutes late, and she was patient and gracious. On top of being an extremely talented MUA, she has a very quiet and calming energy which is important when dealing with a bride and her family. My mother and I looked red carpet ready by the time she was finished. Our makeup was applied flawlessly, and lasted all day/night long, with very few touch ups needed. We received nothing but compliments about how gorgeous we looked. As a former freelance MUA I know my expectations can be higher than most, but Alexandra surpassed each and every one. She is a true talent, and a true professional. Will certainly book again!

Alexandra did a great job with my wedding make up! She was clearly only interested in making me 100% happy with how I looked and was an absolute perfectionist! She was prompt (actually, even a few minutes early!) and finished exactly when she said she would. Would definitely use her again for any occasion when I need glam make up!

You wouldn't believe how hard it was to find a make up artist?! Either they didn't respond to my emails or when they did the prices were outrageous! When I emailed Alexandra I expected more of the same but I was pleasantly surprised. My first correspondence with her was on a Friday night, she responded right away and answered my numerous questions throughout the evening. I did my trial with her and decided I wanted a different look, she didn't take it personally and accomodated what I wanted when we tried a second time. I loved the second look and 4 months later she remembered what she had done and repeated it for me on wedding day! Some of my bridemaids made last minute choices to get thier makeup done and Alexandra accomodated them as well. Her prices are extremely competitive, she is on time,friendly and easy to work with. Hire this woman you won't be disappointed!

Alexandra did my make up as well as my four bridesmaids. She was amazing in every respect. She made sure to listen to out needs and made us look the way we wanted. She was quick without making you feel rushed. She responded to all my emails promptly and arrived to the hotel the day of the wedding before she was even due to arrive. I did not get a trial and was worried, but I simply showed her a few photos of what I had in mind and she executed it perfectly. My makeup lasted all night as well, which was great! Highly recommend her.

Alexandra was just great! From the trial to the actual day of the wedding she was so professional, patient, easy going and attentive to what we wanted to do with our looks for the day, even when I kept changing my mind. All in all, she is an amazing person & artist and would recommend her to anyone.

Alexandra did the makeup for all 4 girls in my bridal party and for myself. She was amazing! Throughout the whole process she was very professional, friendly, and easy to work with. I had a trail run done first in which we worked out all the details, and on the day of she did exactly as promised! As my bridesmaids came from out of town, 3 of them asked for eyelashes a day before the wedding day, and when I asked Alexandra she had no problem with it. Not thinking it would take more time, I never asked her to come earlier, but on the day of the wedding, Alexandra was good enough to automatically showed up earlier to make up for the added time, which was amazing as we would have been way behind if not for her quick thinking. We all looked great, everyone commented on how beautiful we all looked, and the makeup lasted the whole night. The only thing we had to touch up was with the translucent powder for our faces and lip gloss, which is all to be expected.
Overall I am very pleased I went with Alexandra, and I would definitely use her again for other events and recommend her to everyone.

Alexandra is absolutely amazing! From knowing exactly which makeup suits you to making it last the whoooole day AND night - she's perfect. A true professional, showed up earlier than expected on my wedding day. All my guests complimented my makeup as well as my bridesmaids and mom's as well - even with all the dancing the makeup looked great. Alexandra at MobileMakeovers was great - I was feeling a little stressed a few hours before the big day but she was very cheery, and her good mood was infectious! I wasn't able to do a trial as I live in BC, but she was a great listener. I was nervous about wearing 'too much' makeup but she was able to re-create several photos that I brought - to a T.! I was very happy with the overall outcome and her attitude was great. Would definitely recommend.

If you want to look the best you can while feeling natural and fresh, I highly recommend the services of Mobile Makovers. Before connecting with Alexandra, I researched a number of makeup artists websites looking for the all important 'before and after' images (recommended). It's truly descriptive of a makeup artist's abilities to see their work through the stages of makeup application. Mobile Makeovers had such incredibly dynamic images of 'before and after' that I kept coming back to the site thinking 'if these ladies can look this good - so could I'. I was so excited about the possibilities because it was so important to me to look the best I had ever been for my wedding day.

In setting up and meeting with Alexandra for my trial (recommended), I found her to be extremely professional in a friendly easy manner, she has such a warm wonderful heart. She truly loves what she does and wants to bring out your best features and give you a glorious look. I wanted to do a trial to be sure my sensitive skin would be ok after the makeup application and to my delight, not one reaction occurred. Our trial really introduced me to the possibilities that Alexandra's skill could do and after seeing my 'before and after' images, my MOH & Mother wanted to have their makeup done too!
On the Big Day, Alexandra was punctual and after a few minutes was ready to start. She performed in a relaxed manner never making me or my ladies feel rushed. She made us feel special and beautiful.....she's so very talented!
I got so many compliments on the day of my wedding as well again when seeing some of our guests weeks later. My look was everything I wanted it to be and it was long lasting through the whole day and night. Alexandra really did make my dream come true.

Alexandra did a great job with my bridal makeup and my bridesmaids makeup as well. The makeup lasted all day and night. She was very professional and friendly. I had no problems whenever i had a question or an issue in contacting her. She was quick to respond and attentive to my emails. My hair stylist fell through and Alexandra was able to find me a replacement stylist within a few hours.

Alexandra was very friendly, open to suggestions and patient. She listened and did a wonderful job on my make up. I received many compliments and it did not look "caked-on". Considering that I hardly ever wear make-up, I wanted a natural look and she did this and was able to cover up the pimple I had managed to get the previous day to the wedding. She arrived early and even finished early. I also highly recommend going for a trial make-up session as this really helped when deciding what look to go for and how much make up to use.

Alexandra was a pleasure to work with! I wanted to change many things from the make-up trial and she was very receptive and enthusiastic about making changes to ensure that I was happy with my wedding day makeup.

Alexandra from Mobile Makeovers was great! After much research, I decided to go with Mobile Makeovers as it was very modern, stylish and current. Most of the other websites seemed a little dated. Had a trial make-up run (recommended) to test ideas before the Big Day. I wanted to try out a smokey eye look (loved it) but decided to go more natural for the wedding. Everything went smoothly the day of the wedding and Alexandra traveled to my hotel suite and did makeup for 8 ladies! We all loved our make-up and we had a great time with Alexandra as she is very personable. Our make-up lasted all night and we all received so many compliments. We had a great experience working with Alex (makeup) and Karen (Hair). Both were very accomodating during the trials for both my mom and I, and are very good at what they do!

Their services are excellent value, compared to some of the other hair/makeup vendors out there. They were able to take the pictures I brought with me for inspiration and turn it into a reality on our wedding day. Our hair/makeup also held up relatively well throughout the day, considering it was a real scorcher!

My only word of advice to other future brides is to have an idea of what you want in terms of makeup/hair in order to clearly communicate it to your beauticians (and to avoid disappointment). Also to keep close track of the details of your arrangements! I never got a formal contract from Alex, but kept track of all the details of everything we agreed on in emails. In the end everything still worked out fine!

I had decided that I wanted airbursh make up for the wedding because I knew it would be hot and I have oily skin. I only looked at make up artists who offered airbrush make up for that reason. I specifically booked with Mobile Makeovers because Alexandra was willing to do airbrush make up for the same cost as regular. That is what I had for my trial and I loved it. She was aware that that was what I wanted. However, on the wedding day she showed up without her airbrush equipment and when I asked about it, said she preferred to do it by hand now. She said that since it was the same make up it wouldn't make a difference. I was pretty upset about this but didn't say anything about it because there wasn't any point. She was here, the equipment wasn't.

The second issue was that she applied my girls' strip lashes directly onto their lashes instead of their lash-lines. This meant that the lashes were coming off by the reception as well. Also several girls lost lashes when they had to take them off at the end of the night.

I will say that all of my girls looked absolutely gorgeous when their make up was first done and theirs held up much better than mine did over the course of the night.

The biggest issue I had wasn't necessarily Alexandra's fault, and that's that the hair stylist she brought with her (who up until after the wedding I believed to be a Mobile Makeovers employee) wasn't very good. Karen (who Alexandra now tells me is from Beauty in Motion) took many, many smoking breaks and her hair styles did NOT hold up. Almost all of my girls had their hair drop, and my hair was so ruined by the end of the ceremony that it had to be completely redone.

Alexandra was really great about replying to emails quickly. She was also really easy to work with in terms of arranging a start time. Other places I worked with weren't very flexible on when they would start and many of them charged a fee for especially early starts. I also found her travel fee to be very reasonable.

All in all, I do think Mobile Makeovers does a pretty job on make up. My girls and I did look beautiful on the big day, I just wish things had held up a little better. However, I would ONLY book make up through Mobile Makeovers and NOT hair as that was really the worst of it. But since you don't have to book both and, apparently, the hair stylist won't be part of Mobile Makeovers anyway.

My wedding day was long where I changed into many different gowns. I had a lot of compliments on my makeup from my family and guests. The makeup lasted the entire day without requiring much touch ups, other than reapplying the lipstick. But Alexandra did the make up just as I asked for and I looked great in my wedding photos! I would definitely recommend her to other brides!

I did not feel rushed, and it was extrememly refreshing that the ladies kept in touch with me, about all the details before they came to my home and met my expectations according to the picture examples I supplied them.
