Great designer! We shyed away from the typical flower centerpieces and they were able to design a look just how we wanted. They took care of everything and even put on our chaircovers and sashes. The flowers were beautiful and they spent the time meeting with us discussing everything. Great florist! Love the sneak peeks on Facebook.

I LOVED my flowers! April was very professional and I trusted her from the very beginning. She's not the cheapest, but she's certainly not overpriced. I liked her from the very beginning because she discusses budget immediately and will tell you upfront what will work and will not. Before deciding on Mocharose, we went somewhere else and he gave us all these ideas and then gave us the proposal and it was $1000 over! She will not do that to you! And if something is too expensive or you don't like something, you can feel comfortable telling her. On our last meeting she told me that i wouldn't have to worry about anything that she would coordinate with my other vendors to set up and she was right, i did not worry one bit about my flowers.She was there setting up and there to pin the boutonneires and corsages on everyone and was even there to fluff up my dress right before going down the aisle.My centerpieces and bouquets were exactly what I was looking for. She is the best!

I gave April a picture of the boquet that I liked and she made a perfect copy of it. She also was very good at answering my questions quickly. All of my flowers were so beautiful and April and her ladies are all very helpful!

I was really pleased with my wedding flowers from April at Mocha Rose. I had a limited floral budget and was afraid I wouldn't be able to afford her services, but she was great at working with my husband and I to make sure we got the most for our money and suggesting small changes that made a big difference to our budget. I didn't have a very clear vision of what I wanted, but I gave her a few photos and mentioned a few flowers that I liked, and she was able to use that to come up with a beautiful scheme. I asked if a coordinator could come to the church a little earlier than scheduled so we'd have flowers for our formal photos, which was really helpful. For the most part, the flowers were what I'd envisioned, although some were a bit different in color than I'd imagined, and didn't quite go with the bridesmaid's dresses as much as I'd have liked. All in all, I got a lot of comments about how beautiful the flowers were!

April and her helpers at Mocha Rose are truly fantastic. We had a limited budget, but April was able to make absolutely lovely bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages and arrangements for us--even more beautiful than I ever expected! I could not be more delighted with everything we received, and her creativity with incorporating details of our color scheme and the style of our wedding (vintage-inspired mixed with rural Americana) was remarkable. She is a sweet person, extremely helpful and willing to work with brides to achieve their particular vision of what they'd like for their wedding day. I would wholeheartedly recommend Mocha Rose to any couple planning their wedding, or anyone planning an event!

From our first meeting, April asked the right questions of what I was looking for and wanted and most importanly was able to get my personality right away. She also always kept my budget in mind and always offered suggestions or alternatives on what we can do to stay within my budget, while still capturing my vision and give me exactly what I wanted. She worked with me and kept me constantly updated every step of the way thru the planning process. When my bouquets were delivered to the hotel and I saw them for the first time, I actually cried. They. Were. Perfect!!! I can honestly say that with April, the wedding of my dreams came to life!! She has a great modern and contempory vibe, but still captured the romantic feel of a wedding. She even worked with us to have all of our centerpieces donated to a local hospital aftewards so her amazing work could bring smiles to others who needed it the most. Trust me, you cannot go wrong with hiring Mocha Rose!!

April at Mocha Rose was amazing! She worked with us to create beautiful flowers for our Wedding day. We had Potted Mums at our Fall ceremony and instead of trying to make us get all of our flowers through her, she suggested we could get them cheaper if we went to Home Depot or Lowes to get them because they would be in season. The flowers and the centerpieces were gorgeous! She may be a little on the higher side for pricing but she offers such a great service that it is well worth the extra money!

Amazing! So glad I found April, I'd use her services again if I could ... not that I want to have another wedding, unless it was to the same guy ;-)

April is the best florist for modern styles in the Pittsburgh area. My bouquet was absolutely gorgeous. All of my flowers were exactly what I wanted, even though I wasn't very good at communicating that to her. She has a way of extracting information from you so she knows she will give you what you want. I never thought I would be that excited about a bouquet, but I was just in love with it. She designed a crystal arbor that we got married in front of and it was just stunning. She did an amazing job with everything.

April at Mocha Rose is wonderful - she's very talented, her designs are modern and elegant, and she's very easy to work with. Very nice, very flexible and super prompt communication, which is great when you're dealing with all the details weddings involve. I felt very comfortable giving her a vague description of what i wanted and trusting her to come up with something perfect and she definitely did not let me down. Delivered exactly what we wanted, exactly as promised - I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

April is a wonderful listener and she can design anything- from romantic to modern to whimsical- based on the needs of her client. Our venue was approximately 2 hours from her studio in Pittsburgh and our flowers looked as if they had just been purchased and arranged minutes before the doors opened to the ballroom. April is very up front about pricing and provides a list of low-medium-high grade florals to meet client needs. For our event, she was able to get "out of season" flowers that looked and smelled amazing. The day of wedding, April stayed at the church and made sure that everyone received their flowers (bridemaids, groomsman, mob, mog, grandparents, readers, etc.). At the reception, people approached me all evening about the amazing florals she designed for us. She met us at the church to distribute boutonnieres and bouquets and everything was flawlessly set-up at the Grand Hall for the reception when the guests arrived. April also provided Asiatic lily bulbs as the favors for my bridal shower. She did a beautiful job and I highly recommend her! She was extremely flexible, professional, and such a joy to work with!

I would highly recommend Mocha Rose as a wedding florist. I had a vision in my head and she made it reality. She totally goes the extra mile to please her customers too. Instead of pearl pins for my wrap, I casually mentioned something about having crystals to match my dress. The very next day she went and bought crystal pins! My flowers were gorgeous and my favorite part of my wedding.

I heard about April via the Knot when she was first starting up her floral business. Originally...I was planning on doing DIY flowers because quite honestly...I didn't even like flowers that much and thought it was a waste of money and something that was just going to get thrown away and die. We went back and forth so many times on what I liked, what I thought I wanted....I changed my mind so many times and I know I was such a pain :) She was always so kind, so attentive to what I was looking for, wasn't pushy as far as what she thought I should have....absolutely loved her! We met about a month before the wedding....and she is just a super sweet person. On the wedding day...things were so hectic...I was trying to get to Stonehenge Lodge to get ready and I walked in...and April was there with the flowers. Absolutely breathtaking! Never did I think that flowers could be so beautiful! I had a bouquet of black magic, leonida and orange unique roses combined with hypericum berries...my BM's had the same minus the black magic roses. Dave had a black magic bout with hypericum berries and the GM had leonida bouts with hypericum berries. We'd recommend her to anyone!

Mocha Rose Floral Designs was one of the best decisions I made regarding my wedding. April was amazing with her ideas, timely communications and ability to create beautiful floral arrangements. I liked April. First, I liked her philosophy of only doing one wedding a day. This means that she gave very individual attention. Second, I liked her attention to detail. From the first meeting and proposal, to the reception itself, April was very detail oriented and organized. Third, April has a great eye for design and color. Fourth, April was very realistic about the types and colors that were available. We came up with several alternatives, so that if the local flowers did not look good, we would not be charged an arm and a leg for importing flowers. Finally, April keeps calm under pressure. About 15 minutes before my ceremony started, someone misinformed April that I needed flowers to present to the Blessed Virgin. She was instantly on the phone, arranging for an assistant to bring flowers to the church. She made sure that my wedding, from start to finish, had beautiful flowers.

My sister is getting married next year, and she hired April as well.
