Mohawk River Country Club

Amazing time, amazing food, amazing venue!! This is a hidden gem in the capital region. The food was incredible and so was the cost. I loved that all my guests had a place to sit during cocktail hour (a rarity!), that we had the venue all to ourselves for the entire day, the bridal suite was awesome, the helpfulness of Debbie was amazing, and it's a gorgeous land scape for taking wedding photos. I would highly recommend this venue if you love feeding people until they can't eat any more! I wish I could do it all over again because it was so great.

Debbie was by far the best wedding hall coordinator. From the begining nothing but accomodating! Raphael and Debbie have 5 star service and 5 star food what you would expect in the city!
Through the whole process they made it easy. They offer you one marvelous package, no haggling over different levels of service.

Our guest are still talking about their Coctail Hour and dessert bar! Not only was their an abundance of food but everything was fresh and terrific! The hall is clean and elegant. The ceremony was beautiful on their golf course.

If I have anything to plan in the future it would definately be at the Mohawk River Country Club again!

MRCC was everything we hoped for! The food was amazing and plentiful, the staff was great. We did not think about a single thing that day because everything was taken care of for us. The ceremony was beautiful and very organized. The reception room looked gorgeous. We had many people tell us ours was the best wedding they'd ever been to!

The food there was fantastic and the staff were very accomodating. If anyone else has a wedding there please invite us.

Mohawk River Country Club was the perfect venue for my reception. We had 150 guests and we all fit very comfortably in the room provided. Everyone was so impressed with the large array of food choices for the cocktail hour alone. Rafael and Deb worked so well with me while I was planning from long distance. They made it so easy by receiving the seating via fax and then a few days before the event, I dropped off everything from favors to the cake cutter and it was all arranged beautifully!

I am so glad we went with Mohawk River Country Club for our reception site. It was gorgeous. The food is excellent. Debbie and Raphael are awesome to work with. They include a lot for the price, for example chair covers, flower petals, an amazing cocktail hour, champagne, tealights, etc. As soon as we arrived, we were catered to. We had champagne on ice in our bridal suite. We took pictures near the beautiful pond and wooden bridge and the waiters were bringing us food from the cocktail hour. That was really nice because we were hungry, but had to take pictures so they fed us from the start. After pictures, I let my bridal party go to the last half hour of cocktail hour so they could enjoy themselves. They brought so much food upstairs in the bridal suite for me and my husband we couldn't even finish it. I love that at MRCC you are the only event for the entire site. There is no one else enjoying their special day around you. Other places we looked at said that there might be another wedding upstairs or downstairs, I was very turned off by that. Our day was very warm and beautiful for October, we had sunshine and 78 degrees, so we got to take advantage of a bonfire outside, a lot of our guests really enjoyed that. I was inside dancing the whole time, thanks to DJ Vinny Vin of nonstopmusic, but many guests said they liked that. I also love the fact that there were so many beautifully decorated tables for guests to sit at for cocktail hour, tables inside and outside. Who wants to stand around and eat with a drink and plate in your hand?? After the wedding, people were telling me that that was the best wedding they had ever been to. Thank you Debbie and Raphael!

MRCC was AMAZING for my wedding!!! I did not have to worry about a thing and everything ran smoothly. Our guests say it was the best wedding they've ever been to. I would recommend this place to everyone, I hope I get invited to a wedding here!

check out this article about Mohawk River country Club the local newspaper ran. I can't believe they wouldn't return a deposit or at least a partial refund for a canceled wedding because of a Marine being deployed to Afghanistan. Shame on them. I'll never set foot in that place and i'll tell all my armed forces friends and vets.

Amazing! They took care of everything. I did not worry about a thing and I did not need to. The food was delicious, the people were friendly and attentive and I would absolutely get married there again! (to the same guy of course!) Everyone was RAVING about it and still are :)

This venue is BEAUTIFUL and "WOW"'s guests with their displays of food throughout the night! Rafael is very accomodating and doesn't penny pinch, in other words- he told me, "if you want the lace overlays we will throw them in, I'm not going to get upset over a couple dollars if it makes the deal."

You are the ONLY wedding that day, so you have the whole venue and are not on a tight time frame. Half of my guests were early because we used a shuttle and didn't want people missing the cocktail hour, and it was no problem. We also went early and took pictures outside. That morning they were actually planting flowers and sprucing up the grounds, as it was early April and no flowers were out...This is more than what I expected!

We were married on March 26, 2011. Rafael and Debby were incredible to work with over the 2 years of planning. The were extremely accommodating to us as we had a lot of little details that we wanted included including a signature drink (which was delicious). The price was amazing for what they offer you!!! Our guest were in awe over the cocktail hour and the presentation that was displayed. We have been to so many weddings in which our dinner was cold or just over cooked and we had 204 guest and our dinner was PERFECT! They accommodated our vegetarians and gluton free guest as well which was pretty impressive. With all of this being said, we cannot wait to be invited to someone else's wedding at the Mohawk as we loved everything about it there! Our wedding was truley perfect!

I couldn't have asked for a better day of my life!!!! My husband and I were just married there on Friday. Every single one of our guests were amazing at how beautiful everything was. The venue, the candy bar display, cocktail hour, and the reception area. All of the guests were floored with the cocktail hour and we got nothing but compliments with dinner. I would highly recommend this venue for any future wedding couple.

Not only was the venue beautiful and pleasant, the staff and owner made the experience complete. Rafael made sure everything was going in order and on time and did so with the upmost professionalism and did not cause any stress whatsoever.

Everything was perfect! The owners and staff were very responsive to our needs (the owner actually stopped by every table during the evening to see if he could do anything extra for anyone). They also threw in some extras for free and as a surprise (charger plates and an extra station at the cocktail hour). We also felt like we got so much for our money - the cocktail hour was amazing! Several of our guests commented that they thought that the cocktail hour was dinner. I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out and would definitely recommend this venue for the ceremony and reception.

When my daughter became engaged, we starting checking out different venues for her wedding reception. We did check out about 11 or 12 places. The 2nd place we went to Mohawk River Country Club (MRCC). We immediately fell in love with Rafael and Deb.
Being somewhat leery that it may be too good to be true, we kept on searching.
However, in our minds, we both kept coming back to the MRCC. Finally after about 6 weeks, we made another appointment with Rafael. This time with my future son-in-law in tow. Until this time, he had said you two check it out. I'll be fine with whatever. The meeting, by far, surpassed his expectations of what was being offered and the beauty and elegance of the building and its gorgeous exterior.
He just looked at my daughter and said "Wow, this is it!! I say you stop looking now and we book our date."
In talking to other brides who had held their weddings/receptions there, they advised not to worry there will be plenty of food. No one will go away hungry. Well, I must say that is an understatement. The cocktail hour was phenomenal, both the food and the presentation of it. The demeanor of Rafael's staff was superb. We actually had to remind people during the cocktail hour that a full meal would be served once we were in the ballroom.
Needless to say, a lasting impression was made on everyone who attended my daughters wedding. Family members from near and far were literally blown away with the entire day. That made the bride, groom and myself very happy.
Rafael sits down and explains how it normally goes and he takes you from start to finish. Deb never had a problem with my constant phone calls asking for this, or about that. She had a smile in her voice on the phone and in person.
The MRCC is truly a class act. If you want to steer clear of a cookie cutter wedding reception and can't afford the Platinum Weddings we hear about on television, then the MRCC is the place you want to go. You can have your own Platinum wedding on a white gold budget.
We did use the bridal suite for the females in the wedding party to get ready before the wedding and it was an amazing experience. The furnishings lend themselves to gorgeous photo opportunities. Everything is right there at your fingertips. Also, the room is large enough to accommodate quite a large wedding party in my estimation.
One note I must add is that my future son-in-law did ask about what would happen if he or someone else wanted seconds on their meal. Would there be enough food? Rafael smiled, as only Rafael can, and said don't you worry, if you want seconds on your meal, I will personally deliver them to you. Needless to say, I don't think anyone had room for seconds. Rafael, was there the entire day supervising every aspect of the day. He was not there, in your face, but in a very non-intrusive manner. He and his staff always have a smile on their faces.
It makes you enjoy the day that much more. I say KUDOS to Rafael, Deb and the entire wait staff. I also know there are many more people behind the scenes, but this is a smooth running machine and for certain, Rafael does it up right. You will never regret a decision to have your big day celebrated at this phenomenal venue.

Raphael and Deb made our Wedding a huge success. They helped me deal with bride anxiety and my favorite quote from Raphael was "don't worry we'll get you married". He was ready to step in at the last minute to officiate as she was running late. The Food menu was fantastic, my only complaint was that I was too busy to eat it all! Hopefully someone I know will chose this site for their special day so that I can taste all the food. Very pleased, was a fantastic day.

We chose Mohawk River Country Club for both our ceremony and reception, and it truly was the best decision. After looking at a few other "typical" places in the area we went to view Mohawk as it had been highly reccomended from many others. The package that they can put together for your wedding is incredible, and well worth the money. Raphael (the owner) is absolutely amazing to work with, any wish you have he will do his best to accomodate. His "right hand man" Deb is also easy and fun to work with, she was always smiling and never once questioned anything we had in mind. Everyone who attended our wedding raves to us "that was the best wedding we have been to", I truly don't think our day would have been so unforgettable if it had been anywhere else. Please look past the same, typical places in this area and give this one a try, you will not regret it!

I would definitely recommend having a wedding or event here. Take a look at the menu on the website and you will see why. There was so much food and it was wonderful. Rafael and his staff took care of everything from setting up placecards and centerpieces to organizing our rehearsal. I am still hearing rave reviews about the food, and our wedding was four months ago!

We loved this venue it offered everything we could imagine! All our guests were amazed at the food and decor! We couldnt have asked for anything more! Everyone is still talking about our reception and it was over a year ago!

I had the pleasure of providing day of coordination service on 3/16/13 at this venue. The food was spectacular, the staff was very attentative and helpful, and the grounds were beautiful! Keep up the great work, Debbie! I'll definitely recommend this venue to future clients!
