Heather was so sweet from the moment I met her. She was very professional and happy to help with any and all of my ideas. I was very impressed with how she handled all of my last minute requests the morning of the wedding. I really appreciated how she itemized everything in an email the day of to make sure she didn't miss anything. I know how much work they did and I really appreciated it. It was so reassuring to have her there that day.
Lisa Yamasaki was our wedding planner and she was fabulous. We were new to the area and would never have found any of our incredible vendors without her help. She was so nice and helpful, and our day went so smoothly thanks to her. Heather Hall is the new owner, and she helped with our wedding too and I’m sure does a fantastic job.
I cannot say enough good things about Mona Lisa Events. My husband and I interviewed eight different wedding coordinators before choosing Mona Lisa Events. We could not have pulled our wedding together the way our wedding coordinator did. We worked with our wedding coordinator, Lisa, for a full year before the wedding meeting about once a month in the beginning and then meeting all the time towards the end. She set up my appointments and went on most of them with me. It was great to have someone there who was experienced in the industry. We wanted to serve the food family style and Lisa came up with the great idea to have Lazy Susan’s in the middle of the table. Lisa had them custom made for our wedding and it definitely made the tables look gorgeous. The day of the wedding, Lisa and Heather (Heather is the new owner) did a wonderful job making sure everything was on track and that there were no disasters. I was completely calm because I knew they had everything under control. If I ever need to put on a party again I wouldn’t hesitate to use Mona Lisa Events.
Heather and Lisa were terrific! Had it not been for their help, our wedding would have been a mess. A wedding planner is so key in so many ways and without their help, we wouldn't have had a game plan and we certainly wouldn't have stuck to our timeline.
The best money we spent was on our wedding planner from Mona Lisa Events. The woman we worked with is no longer with the company, but Heather, the new owner worked with our coordinator for the wedding day and we loved her too! We met with our wedding planner about 6 months before our wedding date. We had some vendors in place already, but got her because we needed help navigating the rest of our vendors such as rentals, DJ, and flowers and to do the coordination on the day of the wedding. Our wedding planner was above and beyond. She did everything from purchasing little nick-nacks, keeping track of contracts, to coordinating wedding parking, and providing staff for a kids table at the wedding. She made me feel comfortable and eased all of my stress!! She thought of seating arrangements, did all of the decorating and tear down at the reception, moved flower arrangements and got us great deals on our vendors. Our wedding was one of a kind because of all of her great ideas. We met on a monthly basis until closer to the wedding when we met about every two weeks. She was extremely organized and kept task lists for my husband and I so we knew what we had to get done. She came to a couple of our vendor appointments to help us communicate with them and make sure we got everything we wanted. She had great local vendors that she partnered with and we had one of a kind treatment from all of the vendors she recommended. They were personal and professional, it was like having a best friend that wanted nothing from you and wanted to give as much as they could!! I always had to remind myself that our wedding wasn’t the only one she was coordinating – she just did a great job making us feel like our event was the most important! My best advice for any bride to be is to spend that extra cash on a wedding planner because in the end, they save you time, money and sanity!!
Heather is very organized, punctual, and pays attention to details, which is what I wanted in a wedding coordinator. During rehearsal, she did not hesitate to tell people to quite down when it was too loud to hear me or her. During the wedding, she was there early making sure all the vendors had arrived. She helped us a great deal during the processional, telling everyone when to go, etc. There were a couple times during the wedding when no one could find her, though. The DJ was supposed to play music during the ceremony- although no one could find him. Some of my family members ended up finding him, not sure where Heather was. Also, we had a drummer who was late so my sisters were calling him, not sure where Heather was at that time either. But all and all, she was there the whole day to foresee most of it all, which is exactly what I wanted. I think it was hard for her sometimes b/c she did not know who all the vendors were and there was a lot going on. I would definately recommend her again, I am sure she is learning with every new experience.
No bride can take care of every single wedding detail, that is why Heather Hall does what she does. Heather’s experience & ease during the most important day of our new life together was priceless. Heather knew all of the Seattle vendors – their quirks and personalities. She was able to help us accurately choose which vendors would be best suited for the style of wedding we wanted. From the videographer, to the seamstress – we felt like we chose people that worked well together and helped us throw a fabulous party for our friends and family. She also took control in situations where we felt like we were walking on unchartered territory. Like a great coach, teacher, parent or guide Heather let us do our thing when she knew we wanted to – and held our hands when she sensed our uncertainty.Heather’s expertise was invaluable. There are many things I have learned through experience, but planning a wedding was not one of them. We had a beautiful, well planned wedding & we have Heather to thank!
We were referred to Mona Lisa Events by my sister. Heather Hall was the new owner and remembered us from assisting at my sister’s wedding a year earlier. Heather was excellent! From the initial contact meeting until the day after our wedding, Heather took care of everything. She was friendly, well-organized, detailed-oriented, easy to work with, and very attentive to our needs.
In the time between our initial meeting and the 1-month prior meeting, Heather would check in with us often. She provided a helpful timeline of approximately where we should be in our planning all the way up to our date. We mainly corresponded through email (although she was always available by phone), and it was reassuring to know she was there for us since we had no idea what we were doing. We had a million and one questions for her, and she answered them promptly every time. When I asked for referrals on vendors, she sent at least 3 or more options for us to look into. I am sure she was busy doing these things for other couples, but she always made us feel like we were her only clients. That is a true testament to the exceptional service she provided.
At our “1-month” meeting, Heather made sure we were still on track in our planning, and went over all the last minute details we had left.
Where Heather really earned her keep was the day of the wedding. An already hectic, emotional, overwhelming day, it was comforting to know that Heather had everything under control. My wife forgot her veil at the hotel after we had already left for pictures. We did not have time to go back to get it. I called Heather and she was on it. She drove to our downtown hotel, got access to the room, somehow, and retrieved the veil and a couple other forgotten items. She also sent me a text reassuring me she got the goods.
If Heather was ever stressed, she never showed it to us. She stayed calm throughout the entire event, which was very comforting to us. Heather was always close if we needed her, but far enough away that we never felt rushed or bothered. She kept the program moving along, and the timing could not have been better.
Heather made our special day a very memorable one. If you are on the fence about hiring or needing a coordinating, it is definitely worth every penny to not have to think about the little details the entire day. Hopefully I will never have to use Heather’s services again, but I will definitely refer all of my friends and family!
