Monster Crayons

One start is too many for this company. I hired them over two years ago. They now sent me an email telling me they are not shooting the weddings that they have been hired for. I feel this is un acceptable. How about the price difference between what vendors are charging now? vs what they were when I hired them? I booked all my vendors along time ago because of the cost savings! And even though I don't have the time to sue them in small claims for the difference, I hope that someone has the time and energy to do so!

With my wedding just months away, I now have to look for another video company which is also time and effort which MC should be paying me.

In conclusion, I think they owe me the following:

My deposit (they said they were return it)
The difference of the new vendor I hire of similar quality
Compensation for my time and effort of finding a new videographer.

we got married in august and are extremely satisfied with david & his colleague @ monster crayons. david replied to our emails quickly and completed our highlight video & dvd in a timely manner. they were professional, worked well with our other vendors & produced a quality final product. we LOVE their work! they did what we asked and were very creative. our family & friends were also impressed with our video. we've even gotten more requests to order more copies! thanks, david!

They suck. They no longer exist-fortunately for any future brides and grooms. They have our money and it took us months to chase down ONE OF THEIR OLD EMPLOYEES to just get a hold of our raw footage. We have no edits and we're out $1850. If anyone knows where Arneil deVera is, I would love to talk with you!

The demos for Monster Crayons are pretty good and you can't beat their affordability! I met with one of the videographers at a local Starbucks. He was very professional and nice. The main thing that I was concerned about was the team was relatively inexperienced and sounded like it has a high turnover rate.

If you're looking for a very affordable, straight and not very edited video the definitely consider Monster Crayons.

Monster Crayons were very difficult to get a hold of. I left them several telephone messages and sent them an e-mail and I didn't hear from them until 3 weeks later. They told me via e-mail that they were not available for my wedding day. Then a week after that e-mail from Arnel, I got a DVD demo in the mail. I called them to clear up the confusion and once again I got their voicemail. Of course, I never heard back from them.

You ask about the DVD demo, it was our least favorite among the demos we received. I can send them to anyone who maybe interested in hiring Monster Crayons.

My wedding was in August 2007, we paid in full prior to our wedding. Our Videographer Irene Mok taped our ceremony, reception, and slideshow. We received our Wedding Highlights and were able to view parts of our wedding video, but she never completed the editting process nor did we ever receive a final copy.

As a Videographer, Irene was okay, until we find out that Monster Crayons went out of business. At that point, it was really difficult for us to get in contact with her via email, phone, etc. She kept promising us that she was gonna mail the DVD to us via USPS or FED-EX but it never happened. I understand the reasoning behind it, that Arneil deVera somehow had an "emotional breakdown" or "overbooked" and completely abandoned Monster Crayons. But we signed a contract and they promised us our Wedding Video.

Presently, we have not received our wedding DVD. My husband & I have been very disappointed and upset about the whole dilemma. We don't know what else to do. They cashed out our check a longtime ago and we still don't have the final product. If you have any suggestions, please help.

as i understand it, arneil took the money we all paid him and ran off to hide out in rio vista. he left behind about 40 unfinished weddings.

They were great! They were there every moment and did not miss a beat! It was soo relieving to know they were there capturing all the moments, people were talking about! I loved working with them! They are soo friendly, and totally fit in with the wedding party! Phil & Evita are a great duo! Arneil was great to work with! I can't wait to see the final product! I totally recommend MONSTER CRAYONS!!!

My videography story is that I hired a videographer and I did not like the customer service I was receiving. I finally got fed up and fired them!! I had to talk DH into this, because we lost our deposit! It was WELL worth it though!!! He even agrees!!I Loved my highlight video. People loved the love story,photo montage and highlights. They are very friendly and very professional. Great customer service!! I showed the unedited version to my girls and they loved it! I would totally recommend them!!! 5 stars!!

These guys were excellent! They did everything I wanted and at a price you can't beat. I barely noticed them during the wedding even though on the video, they were able to capture all the important moments. They stayed the entire time which ended up being a little longer than we expected. And again, their prices are awesome.

I know they are out of business but this was the best videographer for the price back in 2005!

Monster Crayons has been great to work with. I know that several months back some brides were freaking out because they hadn't heard back from Monster Crayons immediately. Monster Crayons started getting bad-mouthed here, and that's really unfortunate. It sounds like there was lots of confusion between moving to a new office, and perhaps some unrealistic expectations by some customers? I'll never know since I wasn't involved, but I do know that they were wonderful for me. Very communicative and helpful. The two camera-people at our wedding seemed to be everywhere, but were never in the way. Also, Monster Crayons was able to do a rush job on the highlights video so we can show it at the reception in my DH�s home state. This makes us happy! Also, we were really flattered when after we showed our slideshow at the reception, Arneil rushed over to us and asked for a copy of it so he could put it in the Special Features section of the full length DVD! We�ll see the entire video soon. We can't rate the entire video until after then.

CD favor printing and duplicating

We decided to not bother printing onto CD labels (too many CDs), so we hired Monster Crayons to print them for us. We were originally going to burn the CDs ourselves, but we finally admitted to ourselves that we wouldn�t have the time, so we just paid Monster Crayons to duplicate them for us. They were very timely and the product quality was great.
