They are truly the one of the most down-to-earth, easy-going, good-natured and friendliest couples you'll ever meet. They both are very skilled at their crafts and do excellent work. How do you assist in planning a wedding? What services do you provide?
We help you pull your ideas into a viable plan Help you establish a budget Help compile and organize your invitation list Review contracts with vendors Work with Bridesmaids for shower and Bachelorette party ideas Advice on important information needed when selecting a vendor Help to make travel and lodging accommodations for out of town family and friends Suggest activities for your out of town guests Supervise vendor set-up Return rental equipment Pick-up prepaid supplies Set appointments to meet with vendors Keep your event on time Make suggestions on the little details to make your wedding a success Allow you to enjoy your day!
Do you recommend specific wedding professionals? Did you get referral fees?
We have preferred venders that will give you a discount. We don't receive any referral fee for any of our venders.
Do you employ other people to help you plan events? How much extra for additional staff?
While we have a small staff we have 2 planners that do all of the planning. All of the crew are independent contractors and are prescreened to determine that they are able to make the commitment to the event day. Additional staff would be determined by the needs of the planner. We also use interns from the Hospitality Business students to help with the event day.
What if you become ill or cannot come to the wedding? Who will stand in for you?
There is another planner on staff that would stand in if the main planner is unavailable to be there for your event.
What is the largest wedding or event you’ve managed?
The largest wedding I have managed is 200 attendees. The largest event that I have managed had 800 attendees and 60 exhibitors.
Are you present at all vendor meetings? Do you pay the vendor fees and we pay you one lump sum?
I am only present for the vendor meetings that you have asked us to attend and has been paid for under your contract. We do not pay vendor fees you are required to pay fees and sign contracts.
When developing our wedding/event budget, how do you personalize this experience to our needs?
Setting the budget is based on the going rate for the items that you want to have. We let you determine how much you want to pay for items. Obviously we will help you put a reasonable budget together. We have a spreadsheet that will help you revise numbers and make sure you are on budget.
How many hours are you on site the day of the wedding/event?
The number of hours is based on the contract that you sign with us. We can add more hours if you want more then we have for your package at an additional $75.00 per hour.
Do you charge for an initial meeting? If so, is this amount credited should we hire you?
The initial one hour meeting is free of charge. We want you to feel that you need to feel comfortable with what we can do for you and your big event.
Can you assist with travel plans for out of town guests? Our honeymoon plans?
Yes we have many contacts with local hotels to that we can help you set up the room block for your out of town guests. We can also make suggestions for locations within the State of Michigan.
Do you charge hourly, a flat rate or a percentage of my overall budget?
We charge a flat fee for service. We have and hourly rate for additional meetings and a charge for services that would not be part of your package. We can make the contact suit your needs for the services you need.
What makes you different from other local coordinators? Why should someone hire you?
With 25 years of event planning we have handled many different issues for many different clients. We are able to pull together the best vendors with the strongest value for you. The Owner/planner is a Certified Meeting Professional that required years of experience and a 6 month study class to sit for the International Exam. This certification is from the Convention Industry Council.
How many months in advance do I need to reserve your services for my wedding date?
We prefer that you book our services as soon as possible. We will only take two events for a date. We will agree to have the whole staff available for your date with a negotiated flat rate to cover the loss of the other event.
What is your event cancellation policy?
30% Deposit is non-refundable. Contract maybe cancelled without further charges if no planning services are provided. If services are provided then amount due will be based on the monthly installment rate by the number of months the contract has been in force.
What is your customer satisfication cancellation policy?
We want our customers to be happy so we would do all we can to make our service a great experience.
