MountainGate Country Club

My wedding fantasy came true!!! MountainGate was the most amazing place to have our wedding. We got married on the beautiful golf course on a perfect day and our reception was outdoors on the terrace. The staff is absolutely amazing and Bridget is by far one of the most amazing people i have ever met. She made sure our day was perfect. She really took care of us and what i loved is that she really took care of my fiance. So many people only focus on the bride they forget the groom. Her skills are spectacular and her attention to detail is amazing. She responded back to me so quickly. She took care of everything from A-Z. Between her and our wedding coordinator we were in heaven! She recommended us to many vendors that we used and we loved them all!!!! They also let us bring in our own caterer which we loved. Being in LA it is hard to find a outdoor venue so MountainGate was hidden up in the hills and absolutely gorgeous! We had some crazy requests but Bridget and her team made it all happen. The service was spectacular, the bartenders were amazing and the venue was to die for!!! As our friends say we had our fairy tale wedding and could not be any happier. Thank you MountainGate and Bridget and her team for the best wedding ever :).

I want to thank you once again for everything you and your staff did to make Dana and Itay's wedding day so very special and memorable. There were absolutely no glitches or issues with the country club and your staff. From set up to tear down everything proceeded smoothly and efficiently. The terrace, especially at night, was absolutely magical and more than one guest commented that they felt they were experiencing a wedding celebration in the European countryside. I recently had the most wonderful wedding at Mountaingate. Bridget, the wedding liaison was ultimately the reason we went with Mountaingate. She was able to handle anything we asked of her and her staff. We wanted the ceremony to be in a circle, they did it! I wanted to surprise my husband with a photobooth they kept the surprise and make it all work! We wanted to have a swing lesson during cocktail hour, they said no problem! We wanted an appetizer that was not on the menu, they made it happen! We need a few Gluten Free meals, and they made that work too!The food was all really delicious and although we had a few minor snags with the food, it was all worked out. The landscape was gorgeous, the flowers were all in bloom, and the grass was very green. All of the wait staff we came in contact with was all very friendly. We had an open bar, and I did not like that we had to count the children as part of it, because there was no way they were going to have any alcohol. But the linens and place settings are all included in the price. We ended up spending about double our budget at Mountaingate which is the reason for only giving them 4 stars. But overall we were extremely happy with our day, I would recommend them highly!

This was our second wedding in four months and absolutely hands down, Mountaingate was the most outstanding venue we have ever done business with. The service was incredible and the environment was breathtaking. But, most of all, they did the impossible by serving absolutely flawless , outrageously delicious food to every one of our guests..exactly like they served and promised at the tastings. Bridget, the chef and all the staff were as interested in our wedding happening without a hitch as we were. The coordinator, Bridget, especially, was pure joy to work with. She was always there for us whenever needed, answered every question and made our evening fit our needs and budget. We are tremendously happy and grateful for all that Mountaingate did to make an absolutely unforgettable wedding for our daughter.

Mountaingate is amazing. What can I say? My wife and I looked at over 20 different venues and Mountaingate was the ONLY one that felt perfect. We had our ceremony outside on the 10th Tee, Cocktail Hour on the outdoor patio, and reception in the dining hall.

The staff is so great. Bridget and Charlene did a fantastic job of making everything come together. This place is flexible flexible flexible! Gorgeous views, elegant architecture, delicious food (customizable menu!), friendly staff, how can you go wrong!?

My experience with MGCC was EXCEPTIONAL. Bridget McCulllough was the representative that worked with me and my wedding planner through the entire wedding planning process and she is WONDERFUL. Literally, MGCC accommodated every single request I came to them with. From bringing in a specific champagne for the toast to allowing my vendors to drop things off early and pick them up the next day. I was impressed each time I sent over a question and Bridget responded within a few hours (at most). The entire staff during my wedding was gracious, curteous and professional. I almost didn't even notice they were there, except for the fact that everytime I sat down my wine glass (and champagne!) was instantly being filled or my meal was being served piping hot. The food was AMAZING. We had the filet and sea bass and it was incredible. Cooked to perfection. I don't know how they managed to keep such quality while serving 150 guests, but they did. I am almost at a loss for words to describe how happy I am with the service, the food, and the location itself. We were married on the golf course and the reception took place on the outdoor patio. Everything was so beautiful, green, manicured (without looking too manicured). It was naturally beautiful, and incredibly classy. Our cocktail hour took place on the putting green (my one small complaint was that it was slightly muddy), and once the party moved to the patio, the putting green became a "cigar lounge" with a fire pit. This was done at absolutely no additional cost and was quite a pleasant surprise for me when I was going over the layout with my wedding planner. I just assumed once that area was vacated, they would take down the tables and chairs from cocktail hour and close that area off. This was, hands down, the best wedding I have ever been to. Granted, it was MY wedding, but I am a picky bride and can find nothing that went wrong that night (or maybe no one told me, and that's just as good!). Thank you Mountaingate and Bridget!!!

Bridget and her staff are very friendly, customer oriented and flexible. They did everything they could to make our experience with them the best possible. We used most of their preferred vendors, and had a wonderful experience. They were patient, flexible and very, very easy to deal with despite the many changes that we made. Everything was executed perfectly with the exception of one thing: they stated that they would provide ushers to escort our guests to the ceremony site, which they did not. Instead, the guests were confused and kept coming into my room to use the restroom. On our wedding day they stated that they didn't have enough staff to escort our guests, and forgot to put a sign on the door of my room to prevent people from coming in. Other than that, they were very nice to deal with, food was excellent, and the venue is gorgeous. I would recommend the venue to anyone, they went above and beyond to make is happy which they did!!!

It was beautiful. We booked it about a year and a half in advance and 9/11 was available, imagine that.

Our wedding was absolutely amazing, everyone loved Mountaingate & said it was so unique to be able to have a reception that had both an inside and outside area. I researched over a 100 venues online and was surprised to find that most are either all inside or all outside, having both was on our top 10 things that a venue had to have. The Mountaingate Coordinator Bridget was phenomenal & such a pleasure to work with. We booked over 8 months in advance & she was always on top of everything and anyone that met her the day of the wedding was VERY impressed with her & could tell that she took her job very seriously. We received comments from our parents and guests that said it was the most beautiful, fun and well organized wedding they had ever been to & they noted how Bridget seemed to just glide & take care of anything & if there were any issues she took care of it so fast that no one noticed. Everyone also was HIGHLY impressed with the food, the chef was amazing! I have been to other weddings that had filet mignon & it was never prepared well –either under or over cooked, but Chef made the food PERFECT! At the tastings Ben & Bruce were wonderful to work with, they were both so personable & so knowledgeable. Bruce was there the day of the wedding & was both professional and attentive, he made sure everything in the dining area was running smoothly. Even the next day when we picked up the items, Mountaingate staff continued being so wonderful.

Although we fell in love with this venue we found that they are incredibly diffucult to work with and we would not recommend them to anyone. After we discussed many details which were inmportant to us they had us sign a basic contract and when we asked to have the details written in said that they always do those later as part of the BEO and that the contract is just an agreement that we are having an evet there. Of course it turned out that they lied to us. They also told us one minimum at first and then changed it on us.
At the end of the day we had a beautiful wedding, but everything that had to do with this club was aweful and stressful. On the day of our wedding we could see the golfers (although we were promised it won't happen), they let the guests in while the bridal party was still taking pictures, the room was not prepared on time for the kettubah ceremony, THEY DID NOT OPEN THE WALKWAY FOR OUR GRANDMOTHERS AT THE BEGINNING OF THE CEREMONY!!!
Most of the staff there were unpleasant to work with and lied constantly(stating latter that we misunderstood) and were difficult to reach. We are both professionals and were treated as though we are high school students during the whole process.
I do have to say that the food turned out well, but I feel like that is completely by chance since we only found out by chance that they did not have a permanent chef (although they assured us they did when we booked) and one was hired shortly before our wedding.
If you want to enjoy your wedding planning experience I would not recommend this place.

We held both our ceremony and reception here and everything was amazing! The help I got from the event staff was exceptional and the food the night of the wedding was delicious. Two of our guests went on to have their own parties here after our wedding.
