Don't use this florist...he broke the contract and I never received my order..He completely ruined my wedding. I found out after that he is in major financial trouble and shouldn't even be able to be in business. So beware!! Also, if you call 1-800-flowers..make sure they don't send your order there.

Mr. Alan's is kind of a mixed bag. On the one hand, he was significantly cheaper than other florists I had visited. He did a beautiful job with my bouquets, they were exactly what I wanted.
However, I definitely have some complaints. First, he is not very professional. They barely use computers at all, he doesn't even know how to open an email. Also, they do not give you a contract. I asked for one, and after a few weeks, finally received it (however it was the staff at the floral shop, not Mr. Alan himself, that did the contract).
The day of the wedding, I was so happy to see how beautiful my bouquets had come out. My bouquet was all purple and orange calla lillies, and my bridesmaids were the same, but with some spider mums as well. He also gave us the right bouttanieres, purple and orange calla lillies . However, there were supposed to be three white ones as well, but he only gave us purple and orange. But I wasn't heartbroken over it.
What really bothered me was the centerpieces. The vases were supposed to have orange LED lights in the vases (it was his idea!) but they did not. The vases are huge and look very silly with nothing in them. My mom called him and he said that he couldn't find any. I am amazed that with all the time he had to do this, he could not find anything. Also, why didn't he contact me to let me know this ahead of time, so perhaps we could find something else. The MAITRE'D at my venue was able to find lights for them, and he made them beautiful. The other complaint I have is the flowers that were in the centerpieces. I asked for the same flowers that were in my bouquets, with a few other flowers, but absolutely NO roses. So I was shocked to see that none of the flowers that I had requested were in the centerpieces, and there were a ton of roses! The centerpieces were still beautiful, but I just wonder why he bothers to ask people what they want if he is just going to completely disregard it! I guess you get what you pay for.

we ordered a few dozen roses to make small boquets for our girls, also for the botoniers. they worked with us giving us extras of things needed for them. my bridal boquet was exquisite. The owner is just not that pleasant and is a little rough around the edges. thank you.

Awful, awful, AWFUL!!! Do NOT use this florist. They never gave us a contract, just expected us to TRUST them - that should have been my first clue that they had no idea what they were doing. They lost our paperwork more than once and Mr. Alan lacks professionalism completely - he is so sure that he knows more than you do and that you have no clue - even if you know EXACTLY what you want.
I was very clear about what I did want and what I didn't - but when I showed up on my wedding day it was nothing like I had asked for! I said "no baby's breath" - but there it was, in EVERY arrangement. I asked for "a shallow bowl of water with multi-coloured peonys floating in them... no more than 4 or 5 per table"... what I got was a deep bowl filled with floral oasis and 2 peonys and lots of other flowers to fill it out... including babys breath. I had thought $300/ centerpiece was a good deal for just peonys ... but when it's filled with lots of ugly fillers - it's a total rip off. Don't let his low prices fool you - they are low because he doesn't give you what you ask for!

Mr. Alan is simply wonderful. We use his business for all of our floral needs and have never been disappointed. Simply put, the flowers for our wedding were GORGEOUS!

Mr. Alan's Original Florist was easy to work with, and provided a quality product for a reasonable cost. We were able to cover everything in one sit-down meeting and a quick follow-up to add additional corsages and other flowers. They were really accommodating when we realized we had forgotten flowers for the cake at the last minute. They had no problem adding that to the order literally just days before the wedding. I gave Mr. Alan a photo of a bouquet that I wanted to recreate and they did a lovely job.
Two minor issues: To my suprise, the florist added prickly holly leaves to the bridal and bridesmaids bouquets! Needless to say, these scrated up our hands and arms a bit during pictures. Second, we informed them that the location was difficult to find, they insisted that they would be fine, but ended up getting lost on the morning of the wedding.
All in all, easy to work with and well-priced!!
