I got married last October and was lucky enough to have Music Factory as our supplier for lights and music. I would like to thank DJ Hector for having our guests dancing all night long! It is awesome when your guests tell you "what an awsome party"! Thank you so much for great service!

Okay so up until the day of the wedding, Nilda had been very responsive to our emails and phone calls. So this review does not reflect her quality as a professional. But unfortunately for us, the DJ at our wedding was terrible. From the moment he walked in to set up, I knew he wasn't going to be good news. When he entered the room, he completely ignored my husband and I whom were standing there with our wedding dress and suit on. So it wasn't as if he didn't know who we were. So I went over to introduce myself and I did not feel ANY enthusiasm from him at all! He seemed as of he had better things to do then be doing his JOB! But I wrote that off and asked him nicely if he had any problems finding our requested songs. Mind you, we requested songs for dinner, dancing, cake cutting, our entrance, etc. He said he had found all of them and was good and ready. My husband and I said okay and proceeded with our duties. When we finally came to be introduced, he played a song that was not even close to what we had requested! We had never even heard the song. I still have no clue what it was! When we approached him to ask him if there was an issue with our intro song, he told us that he had played our song request when he BLATANTLY HAD NOT! From that point on, I knew it was going to be like pulling teeth. All the guests sat down for the toasts and dinner and throughout that time, he played whatever the heck he thought was appropriate for dinner music. It wasn't until my husband and I approached him that he began to play some of the songs that we had requested. Even then, he played them as if he were an iPod allowing complete songs to play and then pressing play on the next one. I was under the assumption that DJs mixed songs and transitioned songs into each other. Even more disturbing was the fact that he was on his cell phone the entire night and made no eye contact with anyone (unless someone went up to request something at which point he seemed annoyed at the fact that we would bother him). One more thing that truly bothered me was the fact that he played a Biggie Smalls rap song  with curses and all when we didn't even have ONE rap song on our request list. That just made me feel so insulted because I felt he looked at us and thought, "Oh, he's African American, they'll be okay with this." Overall, he was possibly the worst DJ imaginable and I wouldn't wish him on anyone's special night. Oh and I think his name was Joel but i cant be sure because he said it so quickly when i tried to introduce myself and I was so disgusted at the end of the night that I didn't even want to talk to him. So good luck if you book through Music Factory and  hope you get one of the DJs who got 5 stars. 

Our DJ was amazing. He worked great with our band and played all the right songs to keep everyone on the dance floor. At the end of the night when the older guest started to leave he played every techno song I requested and had me on the floor until 2am.

Music Factory was an excellent choice, considering we had a destination wedding in Puerto Rico. They made everything during the planning stages (Nilda was the woman my wedding planner and I dealt with mostly) incredibly easy... which is as all brides to be know an incredible relief! As far as the actual event went... Music Factory provided amazing services it was fantastic! And I say this after attending many many weddings in NYC. The DJ seemed to have an innate sense of how to set the "tone" of the party... The other services we used were also good, but as this is a review on Music Factory... If u ever plan a destination wedding in Puerto Rico or even live their, use Music Factory! oh and the DJ's name was DJ Ricky - ask for him.
I wanted to also once again than Music Factory... We all know how stressful wedding planning not to mention destination weddings... is and they truly went above and beyond. So as they say in Puerto Rico, Gracias! Michelle and Niko

The DJ from Music Factory was wonderful overall! He did a great job of reading the crowd to see what songs were more popular for dancing, and adjusting as he went. He tried a couple of songs that fell flat, but he was able to see that and adjust accordingly. Overall I wish we could have requested just a few more songs in our initial list (only allowed 25) to give him a better idea coming in on what we wanted, but he kept everyone dancing all night, and we had a wonderful time!

YOU WERE INCREDIBLE! My husband and I cannot thank the Music Factory enough for the best wedding party ever! All reccomendations were outstanding. It was so great dealing with you during the wedding planning. Could no ask for a better team. All selected services were great; the VJ, the decor, the lights, the visuals... We danced the whole night. DJ Gaby was so incredibly nice and was able to cater our taste and style.

My Activity; a BatMitzvah that was put together in less than 10weeks for 150 guests ! I had contracted Music Factory once before for my sons Barmitzvah and was very pleased with the quality of professionalism and attention to detail that MF provided. However, this time around it was most impressive how their DJ worked well with our M C and in a matter of minutes put together a spectacular event for us...Our guest kept coming up to us commenting on how much fun they were having and how spectacular everything was! Our initial conversation was very exploratory on what we were looking for and you guys captured that. I must comment as well that the last minute suggestion to put the image on the dance floor was genius, it enhanced the decorated room! Thank You Music Factory !

Simply amazing!!!!!!!

My husband and I had a beachfront wedding in Fajardo and it went along perfectly thanks to MF! I was very worried because my husband and I disagree when it comes to music (we have very different tastes) but the DJ played all our favorite songs and more spectacular ones we had never heard! We were both very pleased with the service! The lighting and the beautiful booth was also perfect. They were very friendly with us as well, which spared us from some of the stress that comes with planning.
Honestly: Hire them!

We are from Sarasota, FL and decided to get married in Puero Rico...It was very stressful for us to select a DJ in a place that we had never visited before ... We were reccomended through a friend from Miami to contact the Music Factory and we did... Our experience since our first contact was excellent. We found this company very professional in the way they approached us and really made our life very simple within the coordination of some details like ceremony , live entertainment, dance floor and some visuals that I wanted to have as a suprise for our guests. The selected DJ for our wedding was GREAT...his name (in case you are getting married in PR) is DJ Mr. Albelo...He really made us dance the whole night and our guests were very impressed... We wanted to share this experience because good music and good food is what make the difference in you Big Day!

Planning our wedding in a beautiful country hotel called Villa Montana was wonderful !!! I have to say our wedding planner selected the best teams of all to make our wedding special. My husband and I danced and danced and had so much fun !!!!The DJ was great and made sure we all had a great time. He played all the songs on our wish list!!
This Co. provided even the furniture to look like a South Beach setting that everyone liked so much!!!

My experience with Music Factory has been extraordinary. Great service! Music was incredible!

Its been said that the food and the DJ can either make or break a wedding. This is the worst DJ we have EVER seen at a wedding and unfortunately it was ours. Very late into the planning process we were told that the “DJ” we already hired would not serve as Master of Ceremonies and if we wanted someone to give our announcements we would have to hire an additional person from their roster. We fixed the problem by having our wedding party do the announcements, which was fine except Music Factory’s microphone kept shorting out. We requested a wireless microphone, but were given a corded microphone that had a short in the line. Our entrance was delayed for 15 minutes while the “DJ” tried to get the microphone to work. Eventually the best man figured it out and promptly introduced us to our friends and family, while the “DJ” played our entrance song at a level barely audible. The wedding party speeches were spotted with the microphone cutting out, not good for nervous and emotional family and friends trying to share their love and well wishes. Our first dance song started before the best man could introduce it, forcing us to run up there and dance while our wedding guests slowly took notice.
We provided a very detailed "must play" list of songs 45 days in advance. We requested that songs by or similar to a specific artist were played during dinner. The songs were nothing like we requested, when we just asked them during the dinner to stop the songs playing and JUST play the artist we requested - they didn't even know who that artist was! IF a bride asks for a song or artist, it should be the responsibility of the DJ to educated themselves if they did not know that style. None of our chosen dance mix songs were played until we had to request them, instead, they opened our reception with “Pour Some Sugar on Me” by Def Leppard. Not something that was on our list - or even appropriate for our atmosphere at our reception.
Our wedding planner we eventually had to sit with the DJ and make sure that we got our previously requested mix of disco, Motown, and classic wedding party songs played. Not to be undone, we made the best of it and had a fantastic time, our only hope is that no other couples experience the same misfortune as us.


This review is based on our experience working in the special events and entertainment industry. We are very laid back people who understand that problems arise and when they do we roll with it and do what it takes to fix the problem. Music Factory made NO attempts to fix any problems with their equipment and our music requests. No apologies were made to ease our apparent distaste and unhappiness with the situation. Worst “DJ” company ever.
