12 years ago my parents hired Marc Prager of Music in Motion to provide the entertainment for my sweet sixteen. From the very first moment my parents and I sat down with Marc, he displayed impeccable professionalism while enthusiastically encouraging us to see his vision of a wonderful night he had planned for my evening. From music set lists, M.C. responsibilities and duties to the tone and atmosphere he would be creating, Marc paid extreme attention to detail and made sure no part of the event was ignored or missed. Through Marc’s attention to detail and enthusiasm my sweet sixteen was a night to remember and an evening that is still discussed amongst my family and friends to this day, one common part of all the conversations was that the DJ/MC done such a fantastic job. On the night of the party Marc demonstrated an amazing ability to understand his audience and provide the perfect environment for all to enjoy the party, young and old alike. Marc managed to provide something for everyone and when the attendees wanted more, again and again he managed to bring the party to new levels. I was confident that everyone in attendance went home ecstatic.
Recently I got married and 12 years later I knew there was only one person I could confidently hand the MC/DJ responsibilities to on the most important day of my life and that was Music in Motion’s very own, Marc Prager. My wedding was a destination event on the beautiful Caribbean island of Dominican Republic. In the intimate setting of 40 of our closest family and friends, Marc again provided a night to remember. Through his years of experience Marc has not only maintained his skills and attention to detail to understand what is needed to create an amazing atmosphere, Marc has managed to develop and built upon those assets. It is those qualities and his endless dedication to making sure everyone is having a wonderful time that made our wedding reception the most perfect night of my life. Feedback I received from guests was astounding. Other guest of the resort that happened to see Marc in full swing could not help but comment on his performance the next day and finally, hotel staff responsible for coordinating events inquired about his services for other events.
I cannot stress enough that the service Marc provided on my sweet sixteen and my wedding reception was a huge factor in why those two very special memories were so very perfect and ones that I shall never forget…
I had the pleasure of attending one of the weddings where Music In Motion was the master of ceremonies... to say the least. If you want your guest to party like rockstars... then Music in Motion is perfect for you. They go beyond playing music and make sure you and your guests will talk about your reception long after it is over. I also witnessed Marc saving the ceremony by fixing the VENUE'S "technical difficulties" five minutes before the ceremony started! A versatile Disc Jockey is willing to listen to your suggestions, give you feedback and play from your desired song list. At Music In Motion, we are professional Disc Jockeys who accept the fact you may not want certain songs played. A professional Disc Jockey cannot know everything about your musical preferences and entertainment needs without communication.
Do you use Professional Equipment?
Music In Motion works with professional audio equipment. If you are not sure, ask for our equipment list and check with a local music dealer or the A.D.J.A. to verify we are using professional-grade sound gear. Remember that professional gear does not guarantee an entertainer's talent or service level, but is simply a tool for building an exceptional event.
Do you provide backup equipment at my event?
Although equipment failure is rare, do you really want your special occasion ruined because your Disc Jockey did not come prepared? Music In Motion always brings back up equipment that is included in every package. We want you to know that your Disc Jockey has a back-up plan in case of illness and we have many resources available to us in case of an emergency.
Does the Disc Jockey know the proper etiquette for your type of party?
Music In Motion are professional Disc Jockeys that will assist you with the planning of your special day. Most professional entertainers will coordinate, emcee and provide the music that you desire. Ask if they have experience with your type of event.
How much time do you allow for set-up?
Punctuality is a necessity. Music In Motion Disc Jockey's arrive at least one hour prior to the start time you've given them. Your entertainer should ideally be setup and in-place before your first guest walks through the door. The set up and break down are included in every package.
Do you provide a written contract?
Music In Motion feel that it is extremely important to have your booking confirmed in writing. Not only will your booking be confirmed in writing, but specifically what services and entertainers are part of your event as well.
Will you be suitably dressed for our occasion?
Specify the type of apparel that you want your Disc Jockey to wear for your occasion. Formal attire or coat & tie are the most popular forms of attire. If you are having a "themed" event, make sure your entertainer is informed so we can dress appropriately.
