Andre was the best DJ I could have asked for! He was professional and understood our needs. We got EXACTLY what we wanted. Till this day, everyone still compliments me on his services. He is also bilingual (Polish/English) so that's why we chose him! AMAZING!

Your DJ, Andre Termanowski (aka Andre Solaris) is a professional with over 20 years of experience at such functions as Weddings, Banquets, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Festivals, Nightclubs and other social gatherings requiring music. He is a former resident of such Chicago stations as 'Energy' 92.7&5FM, Q101FM, and B96FM. Between 2001 and 2006 he has hosted his own weekly mixshow on XM Satellite Radio.

Describe your DJ style:

I am very professional and I understand your needs to make your event a success. We discuss the details of your function and agree on music and style beforehand. Thus, you can rest assured that my execution will be as you planned. I am very flexible with your music selection and Iâ€™m open to requests and suggestions. Most of all I always strive to make you party fun and full of dancing.

Is there a limit to the amount of music that can be requested?

If it fits within the time I'm booked for it will get played.

What is your usual attire?

Formal tux jacket with shirt and tie. Less formal events call for adequate attire.

If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?

Chances are that I have your songs in my 50,000+ song library. If, however, I need to locate a song I will do my best. On occasion I ask the client to provide their hard to find songs.

How many other DJs do you work with?

Varies.

What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?

My basic package consists of 5 hours of music. This can be customized depending on your needs. Shorter time packages are on per case basis.

Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?

Yes.

Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?

I specialize in Polish and Polish-American events. I do however, speak both languages fluently and have command of the music knowledge for both sides.

Can the client submit a do-not-play list?

Of course.

Do you bring your own equipment?

Yes, including backup.

What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?

Yes. Disco ball, specialized high tech lighting, LED up-lighting, haze, lasers, video projector. The sky is the limit. We can make your event into a concert-like setting.

How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?

No table is required as everything fits on stands. Depending one the size of the sound package it takes us 2+ hours to setup.

Do you have any extra space requirements?

No.

Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events?

I have a very small and elegant sign.

Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?

Yes. All announcements are included with my service. I talk as much or as little as you prefer. I usually let the music do most of the talking.

How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?

I hand out 50 dollar bills to anyone that doesn't dance. If that doesn't work I usually change the direction of music and it is guaranteed to solve the issue.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?

The only break during the performance is the meal. However, I'm still in full control of the music being played. And yes, customarily, the client provides the meal.

Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?

Yes. The music is always playing.

What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?

I work with a number of DJs and in the unlikely event that I am not available to perform arrangements will be made for a replacement.

Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day?

No.

What is your overtime rate?

Depending on time of day and event type.

Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?

No usually. We operate within the Chicago land area. There is, however, an surcharge for downtown locations.

What is the required deposit to secure your services?

$150-$300.
