Jacob at Music on the Move recently provided the musical entertainment for our wedding...he was amazing! We had a great time & so did our guests. Leading up to the event, he went through the timeline for the reception & made sure we were happy. Not only did he help us determine the timeline for the night, but he also made sure all of our vendors had it as well. With his help, the night went smoothly. I would definitely recommend him & Music on the Move...you won't be disappointed!

DJ Josh is a perfect gentleman, has an amazing personality and is an absolute professional in his field. One thing that impressed me the most is that we were able to find DJ Josh only about two weeks prior to the wedding. In that time he was able to coordinate with our wedding coordinator, with our band and with my wife and I to get the exact vibe we were looking for at our wedding. We got married on sand key beach, reception at clearwater sailing center. I want to bottle up Jacob and take him with me to every party, He keep the party going, he was not too cheesy at all, he actually got up there and taught some of the dances. What I loved most about him is his DJ outline paperwork he goes over at the planing meeting. Very organized, gets the job done, on time, and he even threw in extra uplighting, which made the reception light up! He took his time and got everyone dancing! Music was very important to me and my husband, so we also included karoke at the wedding, it may have sounded weird, but it was a hit and everyone loved it and sang!! You made our wedding day soo soo special Thank you millions Jacob!

I was extremely pleased with Jacob.. He went beyond what was expected and could not of asked for anything more. After my initial meeting I was put at ease after I had a nightmare of an experience with our first DJ.. They did a very good job with our wedding. Jacob was our DJ and he was very helpful with teaching the dances and keeping the schedule for the reception. The music and lighting were great, and we were very pleased with how it turned out, as were all of our guests! We would hire them again.

Music On the Move DJ's was a recommended vendor by the Hilton on Clearwater Beach, where I had my reception. It was difficult for me to decide on a DJ because I wasn't sure what to look for until I went on their website and viewed a YouTube video montage of a past weddings they've done. I loved the LED lighting they showed and the dance floor was crowded with people. Those were things that were important to me because I didn't want the ballroom to look like a conference room. The lights really helped to set the mood.
Also what was important to me was having my dance floor always full of people. I hate attending weddings where no one was on the dancing. A wedding is supposed to be a big celebration and what is a celebration without music and dancing.
My contact person was Josh, who was also our Emcee at the wedding. He was very organized and provided me with music suggestions and a word document for me to fill out with details about my grand march, first dance, father/daughter, mother/son dance, etc. He also provided me with suggestions for entertainment for the guests during dinner.
I am very impressed with the professionalism, organization and communication that Josh at Music on the Move DJ's provided. It's no wonder why they are a recommended vendor at the Hilton on Clearwater Beach. Thanks for helping make my wedding a memorable one.

Music on the Move DJ'd our wedding in March 2011. They sent us a detailed packet so we could choose which music we wanted and when we wanted it. It made the process very simple and ensured we didn't forget anything (we would have without it). On the day of the wedding, the staff was friendly, professional and most importantly, everyone had a great time. We are happy to recommend these folks to anyone who wants a great DJ.

My DJ Joe did a great job of keeping all the guests entertained and on the dance floor. He also made sure everything ran smoothly and on time. There were no mistakes made with the names announced or the music that we picked. Everyone said they had a blast!

Music on The Move was a very professional company to work with and our DJ Josh Smeaton was so amazing. Because live musicians can be so costly for a ceremony, we had Josh feed music in for the ceremony and cocktail hour, as well as MC and DJ the reception. From the moment the music started at the reception, our guests danced the night away . . . all ages were on the dance floor having a blast. Entertainment is such an important part of a wedding, and we are so happy we had such a professional and talented company and DJ make ours so memorable.

Jacob at Music on the Move was fantastic to work with. He worked with us to determine what kind of mood and setting we were going for. Everything was PERFECT Great Job!

Music on the move gave me the fairytale wedding of my dreams. The day of the wedding was planned ahead of time so I didn?t need to worry about a single thing the day of the wedding. The music and entertainment was fabulous throughout the night. They did a great job of letting everyone know what was going on while we were slicing the cake, having our first dance, and of course leaving for the night. I really enjoyed working with Music on the Move for my wedding. My husband and I are extremely satisfied and are giving them our high recommendation.

They were the quickest to respond with a detailed quote of services available. Their cost blew away all competition and they honestly deserved twice what they asked for! Joe was our assigned DJ and he was top notch. Gave us the time of day to sit down and discuss what "we" had in mind and gave helpful suggestions. I could not have been more pleased with this company! Appropriately dressed and all the music we wanted, which was a mix of all sorts; 80's, current and latin. He was a big part of our wedding and without him it would not have been perfect as it was!! I recently was Maid of Honor for a wedding that Music on the Move DJed. They were great! Their lighting as amazing. My best friend chose her reception venue because if the location of her ceremony venue, she essentially "settled", it was nice, but not the special place she wanted. Music on the Move's lighting transformed a decent, yet boring, room into something truly special and beautiful; they even had their initials monogrammed in the dance floor spotlight. The music was great and she said the Jacob (her DJ) was great with the planning process, very accommodating to her hectic work/school/homework/planning a 100 seat wedding schedule. He even made sure he had the Latin music for her (now) husband's family. I will totally recommend them to the couple that my boyfriend is standing with as a groomsmen next year.

Wow! What fun we had and our D.J. made a hugh difference in this aspect. Everyone danced and had a lot of fun! He also took control when needed (when lining up our talkative and unruly wedding party to be introduced). He obviously had experience and liked what he was doing.

Jacob Smeaton with Music on the Move was wonderful. He was so helpful in choosing the appropriate songs and really understanding what kind of vibe we wanted to have at the reception. Everyone had a great time and danced all night! Jacob even got out there and showed the guests how to do certain dances (The Electric Slide and The Cha Cha Slide). He also had props for several of the songs. My Husband and all the groomsmen and ushers danced the YMCA with the Village People props that Jacob provided, we all had a laugh at their expense. I would highly recommend his services to anyone!

Jacob was a great DJ. He kept the party going and had our guests dancing all night. He was very professional and was easy to communicate with. He did not play all of the songs on our "request list" though. Just be sure to make clear what songs are on your "must play" list compared to just "preferred" list. I think that goes for any DJ though.

Every step and aspect of the entertainment planning process was a breeze! Jacob is a pleasure to work with- he is flexible and knowledgeable and more than glad to cater to your every whim! Our wedding was perfect... and I highly recommend getting the custom GoBo. Afterward, you get to keep the metal plate, and with our new house this will look very neat out on the patio when we have guests!!

I would like to say how much I loved the service that Music on the Move provied for me and my wife. It was my job to find the Dj for our wedding. I search several different sites and spoke with many Dj's. I spoke with Jake Smeaton who is with Music on the Move and he made it sound so perfect. My wedding was a BLAST!!!! Everyone was entertained from all the great songs that were played to the games . Some of the games will never be forgotten and we have great memories. The songs that we had picked out were played just as we planned it . It was an AWESOME time had by all !!! Our DJ was Jacob and he did a great job. However, we had a must play list and he did not play all the songs on that list just the ones he chose. Overall, the dancing portion of our reception went very smooth. I would recommend Music On The Move and would use them again for future parties.
