My husband and I chose Music on the Move for our wedding DJ. Justin, the owner, met with us several times and was very flexible about the meeting times. He made a lot of suggestions. He was very professional and gave us a packet to fill out with requests and a section for us to write down how to pronounce everyone's name in the wedding party. Everyone loved the music and our guests were dancing the entire time. We had a lot of our friends in their mid/ late 20's and a lot of people in their 60's. Justin did a nice job of playing music everyone liked. Justin did a great job. The only reason I gave him a 4/5 for cost of value was because we chose to upgrade to a more expensive package in order to have 2 DJ's at our wedding. We were a bit surprised because the 2nd DJ did seemed to be quite young, like his daughter perhaps. We would have liked to have a more experienced experienced DJ since we paid the extra money but we were very pleased with the service and would definitely recommend Music on the Moves.

Music On The Move did all of the music for my 6/5/10 wedding and I really couldn't have been happier with their work! I was thoroughly impressed from our very first meeting with Justin until the last song of the wedding night. Justin is great to work with, very knowledgeable, helpful, considerate, and overall just a nice guy. He initially asked us to detail everything we could think of for the music, from songs we didn't want played to songs played only if requested etc. Ours was especially different because of the Armenian music he was going to have to play in between all of the regular dancing songs. Luckily he had done a few Armenian weddings before so he was used to the craziness! We met with him a few months prior to the wedding and really went over every detail about the songs, timing etc. You could tell he really puts all of his time into this and that he genuinely wants to make your day memorable. We knew we were going to be happy. The day of our wedding we had Justin play songs for our cocktail hour outside and then do all of the music for the sit down dinner and dancing inside. Justin even found the exact copy of 'Sugar Magnolia' by the Grateful Dead and cut it out to the exact portion my husband and I wanted to be introduced to. Not an easy thing to do! What impressed me even more was that when he introduced us and the bridal party he really was excited and it was reflected in his voice. That in turn really got everybody else excited. It was just a nice, genuine touch. What was amazing that night is HOW many people were dancing the WHOLE time. I have been to my fair share of weddings and many to where people just don't dance because the music simply doesn't inspire them. I've been to my fair share of weddings where only the younger people dance because of the music being played. Justin did a great job of mixing the music up to allow for all age groups to get on the dance floor from my 90 year old great aunt to my 23 year old brother. He did such a great job of reading the crowd and understanding the timing of the songs he was playing. He honored our requests for songs we didn't want played and did a great job of dispersing the Armenian music so that it made sense. He played light tap your toe kind of music during dinner that really kept people in the "dancing mindset" so to speak. We had asked him to keep the talking to a minimum with the exception of a few mentions we need him to make. He really adhered to our request.I can't tell you how many compliments I got on the music. People were raving about Justin's ability to understand the event and the crowd and really play music to match the mood. He was very respectful of the older population during the earlier part of the reception and only broke out the top 20/pop kind of dance songs later in the night when the younger crowd was more inebriated and most of the older people had left. I was very happy with my experience with Music On The Move and would suggest him to anybody having an event. I know he does a lot of office and corporate parties, kids parties etc. I didn't use it for my wedding, but I know he has a great variety of props, a snapshot booth, games he plays etc. It sounded like a lot of fun but didn't exactly fit with our wedding vision. Really, an overall great experience and as far as DJ's go he is reasonably priced and really takes the cake with communicating with you and really caring to make your day the best it can be!

Justin was fantastic. He had the reception hopping all night and we all had tons of fun. He was great to work with and made the reception run without a hitch.

Planning a wedding in Davners while living in Indiana was nutso, thank goodness we didn't have to worry about the DJ. We met Justin twice before the wedding (the two times we were in Massachusetts) and both times he was great. The day of, everything was great. Justin worked in requests from the guests, the volume was perfect. He went above and beyond our expectations. My wife and I are DJs as well, so we knew the importance of the DJ at a wedding and truth be told, we couldn't have found a better one than Justin.

I've been to a couple weddings and a Jack & Jill where Justin was the DJ, and he's always gotten the same review -- FANTASTIC wedding/party DJ. He's active without being overbearing, and his attention to detail puts me at ease. He makes sure he knows what kind of music you want, when everything has to happen, how to pronounce any name he has to, and he makes sure everything runs smoothly. He's also really nice and easy to work with.

Justin is very thorough when you meet with him and he goes over everything you could possible think of. I really had no worries about him the day of we gave him songs we liked but left the majority of the selection up to him. My pet peeve is a DJ mispronouncing the wedding party's names and he did a perfect job, he even went over them right before the introductions.
We had an empty dance floor for awhile but it wasn't Justin's fault, after the rain cleared we had a gorgeous day and almost everyone left their table and went out side of the tent. Once the sun went down people went back under the tent and the dance floor got used. We even had someone doing cartwheels across it, and yes she had a short dress on. We were rocking.
I highly recommend him, he is very reasonably priced for this area and he brings an assistant.
