Reviews for My Candy Paper!
I think if you are have a lower budget or you're young and your sensibility is more on the 'cute' side; than My Candy Paper would be good to check out.
Maria was great about correspondence- prompt with replies.
But I felt the paper options were thin and the custom design she came up with was not very good. She put the text within a bubble (think cartoon bubble) and it felt like an art school "B-" project. Also the sample she provided was spray mounted and the edges were not secure- so it felt glued together.
But the prices are reasonable and it would have been fine for a baby announcement or a birthday party; just not MY wedding.
my candy paper is owned by a friend of mine who generously offered to package up my cookies for me. she hand-delivered them to the venue on the day of and did a great job of insuring each cookie was wrapped with care and the sticker stuck on "just so." she designs all things paper for weddings as well, but my d.i.y. inclinations kept me from using her services for my other wedding paper needs. however, i anticipate using her again for future paper needs.
:D
I found Maria off of weddingbee.com and decided to contact her about magnetic save the dates. I researched for endless hours online and found that on most sites you have to assemble the magnets yourself and it costs around $120-150 for 100 save the dates (shipping not included.) Maria quoted me $65 for 100! That includes shipping and envelopes.
I received them in the mail today and they are gorgeous! Better than I had envisioned. You can see them on her website. The cards are durable and glossy! If possible, I plan on using her for my invites.
My invitations from My Candy Paper were beautiful and reasonably priced. I got several compliments on them. My only concern was that it took much longer than anticipated for me to get them; they were supposed to be completed in 5 weeks, but it actually took about 11 weeks. We received them the day we had planned to mail them. I wish I could have seen a proof of the RSVP card, as it was missing the line for people to write their names on, but most people just created their own line so it turned out okay. Because of the delay, our calligrapher didn’t have enough time to address the envelopes, so I ended up addressing them myself. Maria was sweet though and did overnight mail free table numbers to me because of the delay. I’d highly recommend Maria; just make sure you have plenty of time.
Maria did an AWESOME job creating our invitations! She listened to what I wanted, and she delivered! She was able to create such beautiful invitations for us, at a very affordable rate. I got so many compliments on my invitations and it's all thanks to My Candy Paper!
