Reviews for MyGatsby.com
I used My Gatsby after seeing them in several books from invitation shops. They came out great. I opted to save money on all ends and assembled them myself. I would recommend them to any Bride on a budget.
Grade: A
Loved our pocketfolds! A+ here. Prices were decent, and I loved the quality and design of the pocketfolds I selected.
However, the backing paper that I later ordered were definitely overpriced. I could have purchased the same for much less.
Also, the pocketfolds I ordered ended up being backordered and I was not informed via e-mail or phone call. Only when I called to check on the order did they let me know. Thus, I had to order two different colors of pocketfolds to make sure invitations were sent out on time. They did express mail the package to me, but I was disappointed about the backorder. Why have it available on the site when there is not enough to order?
On the plus side, the site is easy to use and customer service was decent. I loved our pocketfold invitations. I did not go through mygatsby for printing. Phyllis of Sweet Paper Studio took care of the design and printing, and we attached this card to the backing paper and pocketfold from mygatsby.
Out of the card sites available, mygatsby was among my favorites. Also all fairly priced and loved that I could proof the invitations online! Very easy to use and lots of selection! To keep prices low, they do not have a physical location that is open to the public. So it is not as convenient if you prefer actual locations rather than ordering purely online.
we used mygatsby.com .. turn around time was awesome!
we ordered 5x7 pocket fold invites.. didnt request for a proof (we already knew what we wanted) and didnt request for them to be assembled (we assembled them ourselves).. about 10 days later we received our invites in the mail!
we too used the free shipping code "FREESHIP"
I love, love, love mygatsby! Extremely quick turnaround on my invites and it was great to be able to see the proofs online! Prices were very good and I ended up about $400 below my invite budget.
Definitely great for semi-DIY invite projects!
I was SO impressed with the service. I ordered the invites on Monday. The site says it takes 5-10 days for processing, then another 5-10 days for shipping. I wasn't expecting to get them back for another couple of weeks. But, they were on my doorstep by Friday morning!! Less than 5 days! And the quality is excellent. Yeah!! I highly recommend MyGatsby!!
I used MyGatsby for my save the date cards and was generally pleased. I ordered a sample invitation for $7.00 and they also sent a small envelope containing small cutouts of all their cardstock colors. The sample colors were really helpful when I was trying to decide what colors I wanted to use - they have several variants of "pink" and I wanted to make sure I got the right one. For 50 cards and thermography printing, the final cost was close to $100. At that time, a B&W proof was available for $10 extra, but I see that they have raised the prices to $20. If I wasn't so adamant about getting thermography, I know I could have made the save the date cards for much less.
What I didn't like was their website was always crashing (they had a huge computer crash when I was placing my order and I had to resubmit the order several times), and one of my save the dates was reprinted over another person's invitation.
Overall, I think you get a very solid product for the price so I would recommend them.
I researched and researched prices online and created a detailed spreadsheet of which sites sold which components to make a pocketfold invite, and how much everything cost. MyGatsby was the cheapest for everything.
I only ordered my pocketfolds from somewhere else because they didn't carry the one we wanted.
I had my invites just 10 days after I ordered them. I received a shipment notification on Thu, and the next day on Fri they were here! That was a much faster turnaround time than I expected.
I also did the RSVP Envelope address in thermography as well. I couldn't change the fonts on their site to do more than 1 font, so I added special instructions on what to do with 2 diff fonts and they followed them perfectly. I was really happy with that.
Pricewise, we ended up spending about half of what we would have, had we ordered thermography from someone else.
Overall, A+ for quality and service!
Oh and a coupon code if you want to order from them is FREESHIP for free shipping.
I loved my invitations because they were exactly what I wanted and super easy to customize. I'm sure I could have replicated my invites elsewhere for less money, but as a busy professional I don't have this kind of time to shop around or do it myself, so this was the perfect option for me. I love their "word wizard" because it helps you pick out your wording (and make any necessary modifications) by giving you a number of the most common arrangements for invites (ranging from super formal to super casual).
The only reason this site doesn't get a 5 stars is twofold: 1) I feel that for the price I paid they should have come pre-assembled; 2) they were about a week behind in getting my invites to me, which to a bride can sometimes equal a lifetime.
I ordered my invitations from my Gatsby. Overall, I was very satisfied with their service and the finished product. I ordered a sample of their cardstock for color matching purposes. Which I recommend. What's great is that I still have the colors for future projects I plan on doing using envelopments (because they are the same card stock). I also ordered my direction cards and thank you cards from my gatsby. The overall price was a bit pricey but I wouldn't have done it any other way. There was some assembly required for the invitations but I got a couple of my girls to help me, we knocked the assembly out pretty quick.
I have a pretty good experience with My Gatsby I highly recommend them.
I liked that mygatsby.com had such a wide variety of colors; it was semi-DIY.
Their sample pack costs $10, but it's worth getting so that you can see and feel the paper.
We picked a format and the colors for our paper, and then had complete control of wording and formatting online. The printing turned out nicely.
However, there was one major problem: The cut of the card stock that wasn't printed (the backing layers) was not square. You can see the slantedness with the naked eye. For the price we paid, I feel like it should not have been an issue -- and it took us more than 10 days to review our order and discover this, so we couldn't pursue options with the company; just make sure to check it and try to put it together as soon as you receive it.

Very happy with the quality of products and customer service. I ordered printed invites and assembled myself. The first order was printed slightly crooked and mygatsby corrected and replaced ASAP!! No hassle, just great quality and great service.
I had a very difficult time ordering invitations from www.mygatsby.com. They had a promotional offer running for a short period of time offering a percentage off the final order price, and I guess their servers weren’t able to handle the volume of traffic this generated, because when I was ready to submit my order and make the final modifications with the on screen modifier, their system kept crashing. I wasn’t able to submit my order before the deadline for the savings. I contacted their customer service immediately, but was told that the sale was over. I was not pleased with that service. At no other time when working on my invitations did I experience any problems with their computer system. By that time, I had no choice but to go ahead and order my invitations with them because of time, so I had to pay full price (which in my opinion, was a bit overpriced). The invitations looked beautiful and arrived really fast- about a week! I just wish they had better customer service when there were computer issues on their end.
I used MyGatsby.com for all my invitation and thank you cards needs. I love this vendor they were super easy and they were very helpful.
The printing from MyGatsby was superb. They were quick with delivery and helpful when I had a question after I had placed the order. I would definitely use them again.
My invitations were very easy, simple, DIY using card stock purchased from mygatsby.com and printed with a bubble-jet printer at home.
The paper and envelopes were top quality! I was very happy with the way they turned out and would recommend mygatsby.com to anyone.
Shipping was fast and the product was above expectation.
I didn't want to spend too much money on invitations that people would eventually throw away but I did want them to look nice and be original. I wanted something simple yet elegant. MyGatsby offered me the designs and layout pretty much exacly as I wanted and I could be as original as I wanted too. I chose to assemble them myself (will have my friends help) and felt the price was very reasonable compared to other online invitation companies. The most amazing part, I ordered them on a Wednesday, they arrive Fed Ex on Saturday!!! They turned out exactly like what the proofs showed. I would highly recommend!
My husband and I used My Gatsby really as a last resort after finding all local vendors in Chicago to be out of our price range for what we wanted for our wedding invitations. We were hesitant to use on on-line service, not being able to see the completed project until it was done and paid for, however we were very, very satisfied with My Gatsby. Not only do they send you samples of their paper, which is high quality, in every color, but you can also see your proof as you type it online. Our invitations turned out exactly how we wanted them, and at a much lesser cost then some friends paid, for lower quality invitation. I highly recommend them!
