Awful manners on the man who calls customers.I believe he is the manager.I ordered flowers & chocolates from FTD for my parents anniversary. When my mother recived them she loved them -however I knew what I had spent on them and was really dissappointed.I called FTD to inquire- they called the florist. The next morning this CRUDE man called my parents and berated them for being unhappy with his flowers and told my mother I spent $30 on the arrangement. He said he was coming to pick everything up -but my mom informed him that my Dad had already enjoyed a few pieces of the chocolate (because I did not tell my parents that I was unhappy with the order -just wanted them to enjoy it) He then proceeded to tell my mother that he would give her a lesson on how to deal with things.Needless to say when my very upset mother told me -I called him -Our first phone call was him yelling at me and then hanging up on me-very professional -then I called back and he blamed FTD for everything saying that he deals with a bunch of foreigners who dont know what their doing..and that he only got paid $30 out of what I spent with FTD..so thats why he sent such a crappy arrangement.....HE is a liar and completely unprofessional. Every person I spoke to at FTD spoke clearly, were nice &more than helpful. After they called him they issued me a FULL credit stating that he was loud-abrasive and uncooperative.I can understand a mistake-it's the way he handled it that was rude stay away from these people!!!
Mystic Florist did our bouquets and boutineers, and did a fantastic job. The flowers were beautiful and exactly the colors we were looking for. The owner gave us some great advice as to what flowers to pick that not only would look beatiful, but would fit our budget, and gave us a discount for paying in cash that day. Mystic Florist is certainly not inexpensive, we paid $900 for just the bouquets and boutineers, but the flowers came out great so you get what you pay for. They were very responsive via email and phone, and had the flowers delivered to both locations on time on our wedding day. Thank you!
I was a little nervous approaching Mystic Florist for a meeting and price estimate, because I initially went to a place that is known to be more affordable, and their price for what I envisioned blew me away. I could not have made a better choice meeting with Rich - I told him my budget for floral and he clearly said, "no problem!" He worked within the confines of my budget to create tall centerpieces for the reception tables, beautiful bouquets, and all the other necessary wedding florals. He created examples for us at our meeting based on what I told him I had been picturing for colors, flowers, etc. When it came time for our wedding day, I knew everything would be where it needed to be at the right time, and everything was...not to mention, gorgeous!
Rich's energy and passion for what he does is infectious! He, and the rest of his staff, are completely professional and knowledgable. We could not have made a better choice!
My husband and I relied heavily on internet based research, and local business searches to hire our vendors for our wedding. The owner of Mystic Florist claims to have been in business for over 20 years, and this would seem to be a good sign for the presumed quality of their work. We hired Mystic Florist to provide our wedding flowers, and paid for our flowers nine months in advance of our wedding. We had a contract that included the breakdown of each particular flower to be had in our arrangements, and were aware of the expensive cost of some of the flowers within our order that would need to be shipped - and we paid for them nonetheless.
A few weeks out from our wedding date, the owner of Mystic Florist let me know when I contacted him for another matter, that he would be unable to obtain the primary flower to be had in the bridal bouquet, one which we had already paid for - and a lot - and been assured that he would be able to ship. While we understand that nature will have its way, a florist who has been in business for over 20 years should have reasonable understanding of what flowers might be available in the summertime, given the number of flowers that are sold in the industry for weddings in this season. I reminded him that these flowers had been paid for in our contract, and that should he be unable to comply with this, we would need an equal replacement (if such a thing exists in comparing different flowers), which he said he would provide. Nonetheless, this did not sit well with us.
Two days before the wedding, the owner of Mystic Florist called me to tell me that he would be able to provide the flowers that we had ordered, agreed upon, and paid for nine months earlier. I was glad to hear this news.
On the day of our wedding, we picked up our own bouquets and personal flowers, as agreed upon. The other half of our order, arrangements for the church ceremony WERE NEVER DELIVERED.
When we contacted the owner the next day, he told us that we should have "called him" to let him know. As a bride in a dress with no pockets, and as a groom with attention being paid to the events of the day, it wasn't entirely plausible that we would call or email him upon arriving to the church.
After several days of follow up by a family friend, the cost of the church flowers was reimbursed to my credit card. In no uncertain terms would I EVER recommend Mystic Florist to anyone for an order or event as large as a wedding. Our flowers that did arrive in our bouquets were beautiful (albeit not according to the colors we had discussed on more than one occasion), and the boutonnieres were fantastic, but it simply wasn't worth the headache to deal with a florist as unprofessional as this. I do suppose that for a bride who loves flowers or who would like to see any in the church on her wedding day, that this florist would be an absolute nightmare. I would have loved to have written a great review for each of our vendors, but this experience with Mystic Florist was unacceptable and aggravating.
