Nam Vo Makeup

Nam is awesome! I had a makeup trial disappointment with another makeup artist who I initially booked. (Yes, trials are important) Since I was planning my wedding from New Orleans and only had a day left in town to search for another makeup artist, which as you can imagine was extremely stressful, Nam fit me in for a makeup trial at 10 PM!!! The makeup trial was perfect and I booked her immediately.

On the day of the wedding, my makeup was absolutely flawless. My MOH, mother, and 2 sisters' makeup was also really good. She also offers airbrushing service, which we did not need. She applied individual lashes on the day of the wedding and they looked great. I highly recommend her!!!

I really enjoyed working with Nam. She has a lot experience and will work with you to bring out the best of your features. The truth is that I wanted to make sure that I didn’t look too made up, and I wanted to make sure that my makeup lasted all day without having to touch up a lot of times. I also didn’t want to look shiny in my photos, and from the pics, you can see that she did a great job. The truth is that I have pretty clear skin, so she didn’t put on a lot of powder or foundation. However, I give her a rave review because she gave me lots of makeup tips and executed what I wanted exactly (nice eyes, long lashes, and red lips). She also suggested some products that I now include in my daily regimen. She may be a little pricier than others, but I really loved working with her. She also did my mothers makeup, and I thought my mom looked great. But do note that she books way in advance, so you probably wont be able to book her if you end up waiting too long before your date. I definitely recommend doing the trial, even though you think its more costs because it is at that point that you can have her play around with your makeup until you are satisfied. Cost = $75 for trial, $250 for brides makeup, $75 for mother of bride. Also, do note that she charges more if you have her do the airbrushed makeup (I think I’ve heard that this is good coverage if you have blemishes you want to cover up, or if you are going for a dewey look). Finally, if you go with Nam, she does not do hair, so you’ll have to hire a separate hair person.

Extremely popular on the Norcal boards – she is terrific. Nam did a phenomenal job. I'm very interested in makeup and I have to say her shading technique for the eyes are amazing. My bridesmaid, modest as she is, kept exlaiming over and over again how she has never looked this good in her life. She is a lot of fun to work with.. she showed up at 4:30 am at my hotel room, all upbeat and ready to go. Also, her responses have always been very prompt - something a bride always appreciates.

She is the best! Both make up trail and the wedding day makeup was absolutely amazing! Nam is awesome!

I had a make-up trial with Nam and even though I LOVED the make-up, I went with another vendor for various other reasons. I still recommend her though!

I have never felt as beautiful as I did on my wedding day, thanks to Nam's handiwork. She is a true artist with makeup and her services are worth every single penny. My makeup trial convinced me to book her, and my wedding day makeup was absolutely amazing. Even my photographer commented on and praised the results. I asked Nam for a more natural look, which she achieved while still accentuating my features to their best effect. I felt like myself, only 100 times more beautiful and photogenic! The makeup lasted well through the end of our reception (10 hours after application), and looks great in pictures taken at the end of the night, despite the fact that I forgot to touch up with powder as Nam had recommended. Ladies, on your wedding day you want a makeup artist you can completely trust to execute your dream look. Nam's talent and experience means that makeup is one thing you won't have to worry about. On top of it all, she is so friendly, punctual, and professional. Nam also did my mother's and MIL's makeup and they absolutely loved it. Nam is the best!
