Without a doubt, Nancy captured the essence of our wedding day! She first came to our family home to shoot photos of me and my bridesmaids getting ready and then booked it to the church (an hour away) to get some candid shots of the groom and groomsmen before the ceremony. After the ceremony, we met up at a beautiful lookout point (at Nancy's great suggestion!) to do family and bridal party photos before heading to the beach and dock near our reception for more photos. She also photographed throughout our ceremony and reception.

I mention all these different settings because in each one Nancy knew exactly how to go with the flow while still executing a well-thought out plan based on our phone conversations leading up to the Big Day. (We live in DC and had our wedding on Cape Cod so meeting in person was not possible due to distance, although Nancy offered!). Small things - now reviewing the photos - made all the difference: where to place bouquets (at the belly button!) and reminding us gently of good posture really brought our final photos to a whole new level of quality!

Most importantly - and a huge reason I am recommending Nancy to future brides - I like to consider myself a low-maintenance bride and Nancy really respected this throughout the course of the day. I can honestly say that I did not see her during the ceremony - though she captured GREAT shots - and I hardly saw her during the reception. This was important to me as I have attended weddings that made me feel like I was being hounded by the paparazzi - and I was only a guest! Nancy maintained a respectful distance so the events of the day could unfold while still being in tune with all the special moments that make for great photography.

Finally, Nancy puts all her energy and attention into making a bride and groom feel special. On Valentine's Day, she sent a treat to celebrate our upcoming nuptials and on the wedding day, she kindly showed us how to best cut the cake together to avoid a mess and ALWAYS remained focused on making sure my dress was not getting torn or dirty by our surroundings - think beach, sand. These small touches really made for a great day! Thank you, Nancy!

Nancy was our photographer for our New Years Eve wedding this year. Our friend recommended Nancy to us after her own wedding. My friend’s photos were really stunning. Nancy is by far the best wedding photographer that I have ever seen. Her pictures are works of art and aren't your typical staged photos. She is great to work with, very professional and friendly. Nancy photographed our wedding in 2008 - well, photographed is an understatement. Nancy made us laugh, kept me calm and photographed some of the most special moments of our wedding, friends and family.
In 2009, Nancy photographed a good friend's wedding which overlapped with our first anniversary so we have a great "1 yr later" shot.
