Aimee Lam Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist

It was a pleasure & such a blessing to have Aimee as my makeup artist on my wedding day. She's not only a pro, but also a good friend whose honest in giving some advices in makeup preference & also skin tips. Aimee knows how to do a real natural makeup both in person & photos, without feels of having too much makeup. She has very good attention to details, calm, knows how to handle hectic situation.. she is very kind, even tho she doesnt do nails but she helped me polish my nails in that hectic morning.. How awesome she is!

I love the way she makeup my eyes.. the smokey eyes, its glam, sexy, natural & yet so soft & sweet. And she did my hair, too, its very cute and very suits to my personality; she nailed it!

Everybody in the family & guests compliment the makeup & hair, they asked who did it & they said they would refer Aimee as well to their families & friends. Its hard to find ppl in ur wedding team/vendor list; that is really fun & nice to work with; but it aint hard anymore cos Aimee definitely is super fun person & easy to work with! Definitely highly recommended!!

Aimee is amazing!!! She is talented, professional and is the nicest person. I had the pleasure of having my makeup and hair done for my wedding - along with my mother and my matron of honor.

I felt so beautiful on my wedding day - and I received so many compliments! My makeup looked natural, and showed up great on the pictures. My hair looked great too - and it stayed perfect all day! I didn't even have to adjust 1 bobby pin... and I have a lot of hair. During the trial, she took her time to figure out what would work best for me. I typically do not wear much make up and I was worried that it would feel heavy, so she suggested air brushing and it was great - didn't even feel like i had any makeup on!!! She took some pictures of me after the makeover and she sent them to me the next day.

Aimee always responds to emails promptly and she follows up on everything. For someone who is a borderline type A personality like myself, it was just a relief to find someone who is so reliable. I also had a lot of unexpected last minute changes (adding people, requesting earlier times, etc...) which added a lot more pressure on her - but she just told me not to worry and figured everything out for me. She arrived early on the actual wedding day and she came very prepared - she took a lot of notes during my trial and brought the notes and the picture from the trial with her.

On top of all this, she is an awesome person - as soon as I met her, I felt really comfortable with her. I wasn't nervous at all on the wedding day because she was so calm. Thank you so much Aimee!!!

I am so glad that I was able to have Aimee to do my bridal make-up & hair. I went to three other make-up trials with other artists before but she definitely was the best fit for me and exactly the type of make-up artist I was looking for: organized, patient and technically skilled in their field.

I usually feel like people pile on make-up on my face but she made it very natural but still look good for the photos. I noticed that she thinks very thoroughly for my wedding day. For example, she asked to see my photographers' website so she can see how their lighting technique would affect the make-up. My photographers liked to take bright photos so she made my make-up a little darker and it came out perfect in our wedding photos. She also asked to see a rough timeline so she can stay on time. For the trials, she took her own photos and sent them to me promptly. She was also thoughtful by recommending ways to keep my face fresh before the wedding. These were just a few things she did that really made her a great person to work with.

After my mom saw her trial work on me, she asked me if Aimee was able to do her make-up as well! Aimee did a wonderful job on my mom, me and my husband as well. He was very anti-make-up but it looked so natural and very subtle. He is a fan as well.

On the day of my wedding, she came a little earlier than the start time to set up right away, which I appreciated. She was patient and made me feel comfortable the whole time through. The best thing I liked about Aimee is that I could totally trust her work. I didn't have to worry anything related to my hair or make-up for my wedding day. Other vendors I had to follow-up with or ask my coordinator to check on them.

Overall, Aimee is really sweet and very talented with hair and make-up. Hands down, I recommend her to any bride searching for a make-up artist. Not only is she excellent, you can count on her to make you look beautiful on your big day.

I had a little over a month only to prepare for my wedding. One of the biggest challenge: Makeup & Hair... because you wanna look your best on your BIG day! I'm Asian so I was looking for someone who can accentuate my features without making me look like I have a blackeye or something. After 2 weeks of searching, I came to Aimee's website. I loved her portfolio... and just my luck, she was available on my date. It was one of the best decisions I made for the wedding. I LOVE HER WORK! She is by far the best makeup & hair artist ever!!! She's also so sweet.. and just super super super talented in what she does. Her knowledge in makeup brands is just amazing. Her makeup didn't break or run at all. I couldn't ask for a better look than what Aimee gave me. My friends and family were amazed at how good I looked... thanks to Aimee! She didn't use heavy colors or anything, but instead, she made me look elegant & classy. Until now, my husband always look at our wedding pix and told me I looked sooo pretty. Thanks Aimee! You made my day!

Aimee is the best! She did my make up for my engagement photos and for my wedding at the Fairmont in Nob Hill. She did the make up and hair for my entire bridal party. My bridesmaids and I rarely use any make up, and when all our family and friends saw us,...there was a flow of compliments! Aimee knew exactly what I wanted even when I didn't know what I wanted. And when the make up was on...it felt like there was nothing on! But what was even more amazing was that our make-up and hair lasted all day! Aimee was attentive to every detail. As the bride, I felt that Aimee was able to take care of all my needs and every detail. She is also a sweet person and very professional. She came to my bridesmaid's aid and even helped bustle and straighten my dress and perform a 911 on my mother-in-law's make-up (my mother-in-law got her make-up done by someone else and let's just say that thank goodness that Aimee is an angel...the minute she caught a glimpse of my mother-in-law's electric blue eyeliner...she completetly made over my mother-in-law in minutes with no extra charge!). I am so happy with Aimee's work and services, I planning to start taking her make-up and hair classes. (And her work as been featured on Say Yes to the Dress on TLC!!) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Aimee was such a joy to work with! She made me feel completely comfortable and at ease every time I was with her. I felt like we were long time friends just after the first makeup and hair trial. She remembered exactly how I wanted everything from the trial since she took pictures and notes after the session. I felt so beautiful and completely myself the entire day. The makeup and hair held up the entire evening through cake in the face and dancing outside all night! I would definitely use Aimee again when I have an occasion to get done up again!

During the makeup run, she will ensure that you are comfortable and completely satisfied with the results. Aimee is attentive to details and make every effort to work with YOUR style. Her makeup and hair techniques are amazing. She is great with all types of faces. Her transforming styles has helped me win pageant titles..Aimee is indeed a talented artist.
She also has a creative side in photography. Aimee took some photos for me and they came out beautiful. You cannot go wrong with makeup+hair+photography...Aimee can do all three! :)

aimee lam is a diamond in the rough in the bay area. the pictures on her website don't do her work justice. aimee is extremely talented and really understands the face. she has a very acute sense of detail and is keen on doing what works for your face and features to create the most flattering look for you, unlike many trials i had been to in which the artist was just applying makeup to my face without really considering my face shape, cheekbones, the distance of my eyes etc., and just applying colors. after a session with her, you realize that aimee has studied make-up artistry extensively and really knows what she's doing. aimee is also extremely accommodating and very eager to listen to you and i felt so comfortable with her, which is exactly what you want on your wedding day - someone you can entrust with one of the most important days of your life.

i would say that i am very particular and have very high standards when it comes to make-up. my makeup ended up being perfect. she was able to create a look that was soft and natural in person, but still photographed well. LOVED HER!
