The Neighborhood Church is the most amazing venue, the scenery is priceless. Our pictures came out so great with such a gorgeous backdrop!

This was the most beautiful wedding venue we could ask for - and well worth the cost (not very expensive compared to others in the area). Our pastor, Rev. Moorhead, was wonderful and our whole ceremony went off without a single hitch. The wedding coordinator for the church, Barbara Johnson, can be a little difficult to get a hold of (you won't see her until the night before your wedding at the rehearsal) so be sure to call her early on and make plans for how you envision your big day. You will have to complete marriage counseling (1 day = 6-7 hours) to be married in the church - but you can be any denomination - but only their Revs. can marry you. All in all, it was one of the most beautiful parts of our day, and we'd do it all over again at that church in a heartbeat!

The Neighborhood Church is unbelievably beautiful! It sits on a bluff in the South Bay. The sanctuary is located in the back of the church with many large windows and view of the ocean. The church requires a one Saturday pre-marital class that we found to be very helpful. We also had a 'get to know you' session with the Pastor to run through the ceremony as well to let him know what was important to us. We were told by many of guests that they thought the Pastor had known us for years! Our pictures turned out to be absoultely amazing inside the church as well as on the grounds.

You will not find a beautiful setting to have a wedding, there are so many areas to get awsome pictures. We were very happy with the pictures that we got. Rev. Barnes was awsome and made our wedding special. We were very happy with our wedding.
There were some points that may concern you: The church books fast and the cost is rising so book as soon as possible. During the day of our wedding, the wedding before ours was running behind so the bride had to wait before she could get dressed. They were also having a pre-marital meeting during our wedding so there were some random couples floating around. When my groomsmen and myself were coming back from the only bathroom we were talking and the head minister yelled at us for disturbing his meeting. That was very un-professional, as we paid for the cite and are getting yelled at for talking. Finally, at the end of our post wedding photo shoot our limo was running a little late and were waiting towards the exit of the church when the church wedding planner came out and told us that we had to leave, when we told her the limo would be her shortly she told us that we would have to wait out on the sidewalk, thanks Barbra.
If you can make sure that everything is on time and you can deal with other people walking around the wedding and don't mind waiting on the corner for your limo if it is late than this beautiful church is well worth the chunk of change.

This church is absolutely breathtaking! If you are looking to be married by the beach, but want to still be in a church this is the best of both worlds. It is by far our most favorite part of our wedding. The church is an old estate that was converted into a church. The architecture is Spanish style and the exterior and interior details are beautiful. It is $1700 for a wedding and they have some strict guidelines but we feel it is well worth it! Our photographer has shot many weddings at this church and recommends to work with vendors who are familiar with this location due to the guidelines.

I went to a wedding here not too long ago and thought the location was beautiful. The minister assigned by the church was warm and funny. If you're interested in this location, make sure to book early, as it was all booked for the dates I considered when I was planning my wedding.

We had our wedding ceremony at The Neighborhood Church...I don't believe you'll get a better view in the entire South Bay! The one thing I really love about this church is that it's tucked away from the main streets...hence the name "neighborhood church" because it's right in the middle of a neighborhood with breath-taking homes. They provided a coordinator for the ceremony, and music is available if you choose not to bring an outside musical group. Although you can't beat the location, this venue has some very strict rules. You cannot put anything on the pews and you cannot have a runner down the aisle. There are also restrictions as to where your photographer & videographer can set-up. Other than that, we were very happy with the church. Our reception was held at the Palos Verdes Country Club. From here, you can see downtown LA as well as the ocean! It's a beautiful course with a private pond area to take pictures. We were 100% happy with everything. The ballroom is amazing because it has large windows all around the room, so you can enjoy the beautiful view during the entire evening. The food was excellent, we couldn't have asked for more.

Great location, view & ambiance. The service was great, sermon was also nice, however, decoration of the church is very limited/quite restricted. I had to use fake petals (which i did not mind) and wanted a lot of petals on the aisles but the coordinator was jippy and only allowed for so much in my girls basket that whatever they dropped was so scant, it looked tacky. It is a little pricey to get married there but at least you get a couple of hours and the people at the Church is very organized.
