Nelda Etheredge, Harpist

I just had my wedding Saturday, March 19th. Nelda Etheredge was the wonderful harpist I hired for my wedding. She did a stellar job. The music selections were awesome including the special ones I had picked for communion and the unity candle. Her harp was beautiful and she dressed so lovely for the day. She sent me a CD prior to the wedding to select my music which I then used for my wedding video as background music. Also - it was the least expensive item for my wedding!

Nelda was absolutely amazing! She made the wedding more meaningful with her beautiful music and she was so classy and friendly! We would recommend her to anyone - she will ensure that your day is all that you want it to be. She helped us to choose music and played far beyond what we asked her to - in fact we are going to book her for all the parties that we have!

My only problem was that Nelda herself did not perform at my wedding, instead she sent someone else from the San Antonio Symphony because she had bronchitis. It bothered me that she did not inform me of this prior to the wedding and I was upset to discover someone else would be standing in, just minutes before the wedding. I contacted Nelda and she apologized, stating that she didnt want to tell me this before the wedding, because she didnt want me to be upset. Well, I would argue that bad news doesn't get better over time. Plus, the contract clearly states that you are hiring HER, not a stand-in. Who knows how much she ended up paying the stand-in (although she says she paid her the full amount). Finding out just before the wedding wasn't exactly comforting either. The music was beautiful but if you hire her, I would make sure that you keep the lines of communication open.

She was easy to work with, respected all our wishes, and was dependable. Her music was beautiful and made the ceremony all the more special.

Nelda’s many years of harp performance experience are clearly evident in the beautiful sound she creates while playing. Not only does she play with confidence, but she also has a vast repertoire and special knowledge of her music which make her very proficient at guiding you in your song selections for your wedding or other special event. It was a pleasure to work with her!

Nelda Etheredge is THE wedding harpist in San Antonio and South Texas. She is thorough and professional, providing a combination of wonderful music and a beautiful presentation. Nelda performed at BOTH of my daughters' wedding ceremonies, adding her special sounds to their special days.

I also had the pleasure of meeting Nelda at a "Garden/River Front" wedding. I was absulutely taken by her skill on her harp and her delightful personality. I can assure you that Nelda and her harp would be a great assest to any Bride and Groom that are looking to bringing charm and elegance to their wedding ceremony. I loved working with Nelda and would recommend her to anybody.
