The Kelsh Trio - Flute, Violin, and Cello
Reviews for The Kelsh Trio - Flute, Violin, and Cello

My husband & I hired the Kelsh Trio to perform at our October 2012 wedding. Mary, the violinist and contact person, was very nice and easy to work with throughout the booking process. The music was beautiful, the pricing was reasonable, and I feel having live music for your ceremony adds a level of elegance. If you're considering musicians for your wedding, I definitely recommend the Kelsh Trio!

I planned my wedding remotely from Texas and the Kelsh Trio was great to work with. They were flexible and accomodating and wanted to help make my wedding day exactly what I had hoped it would be. Everyone at the wedding commented on how great the music was during the ceremony and during the happy hour.

Date and time of event

Start and end times
Any special musical requests
We will contact you as soon as possible with a quote.
What does your fee for the ceremony include?
Our fee includes, 30 minutes of prelude music for as your guests are entering and waiting for the ceremony to begin, processionals for the mothers, bridal party and bride, any meditations you may want played during the ceremony, recessional, and postlude music for as your guests are exiting the ceremony site.
How do we go about booking you for our event?
We will send you a contract which we request you to sign and send back to us with a 50% deposit. This will ensure your reservation with us. The remainder of the balance is due 2 weeks before your event.
Do I have to choose every song you are going to play for the ceremony and cocktail hour?
We ask you to choose specific songs beforehand for ceremony processionals, meditations, and recessionals. We can help you with this process and give you suggestions if you like. While you are welcome to give us a list of some of your favorite songs you would like us to play for everything else, often it is easier for you to request types of music for the prelude and postlude such as “upbeat classical” or “meditative” etc...rather than listing each one individually.
When will you arrive for the ceremony?
Generally, we arrive about 30 minutes before prelude music begins. This is to make sure we discuss ceremony queues with your wedding planner and/or officiant, set up, and are ready to play.
Can you help me choose music for my wedding?
Yes, we will be happy to work with you to help you create the perfect mood for your wedding.
Will you play outdooors?
Yes, but we need protection from direct sunlight, precipitation of any kind, and strong winds. While no bride wants to admit it's a possibility, we always advise you make allowances for the fact it may rain and to have a tent or gazebo or some kind of covering for our group to play under in case it rains. Our instruments are very valuable and will be damaged if subjected to any precipitation or even long periods of direct sunlight. Also, for those late in the season weddings, please keep in mind that if the temperature is too cold we cannot play outdoors.
What will you wear?
We will dress in concert black attire unless instructed to do otherwise.
I have hired a singer or asked a friend to sing at my wedding, can you accompany her/him?
Yes, but there may be an extra fee if we have to purchase new music and arrange it for our group. We can arrange a short rehearsal before the ceremony to make sure everything goes smoothly.
Will we meet in person beforehand?
Usually there is no need to meet in person beforehand. The contract can be sorted out by mail, and all the details of planning and choosing music can be discussed over phone or email.
Will you play at the wedding rehearsal?
There is no need for us to play at your rehearsal. Generally, we have found the only rehearsing that may need to be done is if you would like us to accompany a singer for a special song. This can be arranged for right before the ceremony.
