NY Bride

NY Bride was good to be for well over a year - I got my wedding gown there as well as my mom's dress for the wedding and a bridesmaids dress for a wedding I was in directly after my own. Everyone is so professional, they take care of everything you want/need, and their hours are so flexible for someone like me who worked full-time. Their selection is great, prices range so you're likely to find something within your budget. Ask for Tiffany - she's fabulous!!

If you live in the Charlotte area and you want a beautiful dress altered and reasonablly priced this is the place to be!

Do not go to this bridal salon expecting great service. I walked in (on a slow day) and the saleswomen just said, "Go browse around." Meanwhile, they sat at the sales desk and chatted away. My mother and I found my dream dress! It wasn't until I tried it on myself (without any assistance because the saleswomen wouldn't help) and said, "This is the one!" that the associates came running. Of course they wanted the commission, but there was no way I would spend in penny in a place that didn't value my business. I bought my dress elsewhere. I can't imagine the nightmare of having to deal with them after the sale.

I found my dream dress at NY Bride - and I know you can too! They have a HUGE selection and the ladies are so nice and so helpful there. We also found the bridesmaid dresses here and ordered them all from there. If we had not bought suits for the men, we would have rented tuxes from them as well. Everything was stressfree and they were open to having 3 dress fittings with me and fixing every little detail :)

I loved the service and friendliness of everyone at NY Bride and Groom. My dress came back fast and my alterations were perfect with great instructions on day of dress duties!

The ladies at NY Bride helped me to find and customize a Pronovias dress to be the dress of my dreams. They were knowledgeable, professional and warm, and delivered my dress and veil with alterations on time and in perfect condition. After a disaster experience at David's Bridal, it was such a great feeling to work with NY Bride.

Tracey at NYB was terrific to work with, very accommodating and they give you excellent customer service from purchase through fitting! I always had my questions answered promptly and they handled all my bridesmaid dress (which came in from around the country) with ease. My dress was incredible and they offer the best prices around. I would highly recommend them.

I tried on several dresses at multiple stores in multiple cities before I found "the" dress at NY Bride and Groom. Meghan, my sales consultant, was honest and friendly. I went to other stores that wouldn't tell you if a dress was not flattering on you, which is not very helpful when you want to look amazing on your wedding day. Meghan not only said, "that doesn't look very good", but she also then found something that I would look better in. It didn't take her long to figure out exactly what I was looking for and help me find the perfect dress. NY Bride has dresses in every price range and their new store makes it so easy to look at dresses because it is not cramed packed. The store is so big, each dress has room to breath so you can easily browse through them. There is no fee for trying on dresses here either and no appointments required. They offer larger size sample gowns as well. I can't tell you how frustrating it is trying to find a dress when all the stores carry sizes 4-8 and you can barely fit your left leg into it. One of the biggest pros is that they offer custom measurement dresses for those of us who aren't a standard size which saves on alterations and stress. The only downside was that the dress came in 4 inches too small in the waist and I had lost 15 pounds in between measurements and receiving the dress. However, Niesi did an amazing job fixing it and I didn't have to pay for any of the alterations since I ordered a custom dress and there was no reason it shouldn't have fit almost perfectly. The dress was two inches too short and there was nothing they could do to fix the length. Be sure that they measureme your height exactly, don't guestimate! I wore flat shoes for my wedding, so there was no getting new shoes to fix the problem. I was probably the only one that really noticed it. Overall, I'd say my experience was really good and I'd definitely recommend them to future brides.

When I decided to purchase my gown from NY Bride, I knew that I would be 100% taken care of because their attention to every bride. It was a very small salon at the time. Well I was wrong. They moved into a bigger store. They expanded too fast, too fast to train their employees. Here are some of the details of there poor service...changed the sizes of a few of the bridesmaids dresses to a bigger size without permission (one of the dresses actually had to be remade it was SO big); it took 4 months to get the swatch of my bridesmaids dresses they said would only take 2 weeks; the bridesmaids dresses were 3 weeks late; the flower girl was over a month late and when it arrived one week before my wedding the sash was the wrong color! The worst thing that happened had to do with my gown...I picked up my gown for my bridal portraits 2 weeks before my wedding. When I took it out of the bag, it was EXTREMELY wrinkled, BUT worst of all, there were iron marks on my train! My couture gown was ruined! They did fix the problem the week of my wedding, BUT talk about stress! The worst thing is the what happened the day of my wedding...my dress once again was wrinkled (2 hours before my wedding my MOH had to take it back to the salon for them to iron it AGAIN) and there was a black spot on the front of the dress and pencil marks on the back of my dress...it was an expensive dress that they ruined! They have the potenial to be something great, but I would not recommend them for at least 2 years. Hopefully by then they can work out all these kinks!

I had gone to a trunk fashion show here and I really loved the store. The staff was great, and I felt that they had so many great brands that I would be able to find my dress here. I made an appointment and drove from Durham to look at dresses. I had brought pictures and my own drawing of what I wanted, and explained that I wanted something elegant but some that that would look classy at a beach wedding. My sales associate, Amanda, brought me the best dress ever! I fell in love with my dress that day and placed an order. They took care of all the alterations, and I am so happy I made the drive! It was pricey, but it was worth it.

Alterations:

This was where I had the dress altered and also preserved. I knew that I would probably never wear the dress again, so I brought it back to have it cleaned and preserved. They did an excellent job, my dress is now in a huge box in our closet.

Incredibly helpful staff with an awesome selection of dresses and accessories. I visited a couple boutiques before New York Bride and they were just stuffy. New York bride was very laid back but very accommodating.

The NY Bridal Loft in Charlotte was the ultimate dress shopping experience. I loved almost every dress I tried on. Leigh was able to figure out my style immediately, so I actually bought the first dress she picked for me. I love the girls at NY Bride. They made the wedding experience what it should be! Perfect!

I think the staff at the Bride Loft was absolutely wonderful to me and my mom when it came time for us to shop for a dress! We made an appointment for a Saturday, and I had already looked online to see what designer dresses they had in stock. It took me three trips until I finally decided on one dress. They were great about understanding what a big decision this was, and I felt so comfortable explaining what I wanted. In the end, I really loved the dress, a L'ezu dress, that I picked out. They took care of all the alterations, and they also have beautiful accessories. I got a really cute veil that really complimented my dress.

Bridal Gown:

This is the first store I went to on my search for a gown and I am so glad, made the process much less stressful! I had such a great experience, the dress selection is great and the girls are so helpful. I love the urban loft feel of the store. They have high end designers, but also offer some lower priced options. I like to shop around so I went to pretty much every other store in Charlotte, some good experiences and some terrible ones. But I went back to New York Bride to get my dress....first one I tried on actually! My dress came in early and fits great, barely needs alterations. You are supposed to make an appointment, but that's true of most nice bridal stores and I have had no problems getting in when I wanted to. You want the personal attention anyway. I highly recommend this store!

Bridesmaids Dresses:

Since I had such good luck with my gown, I took my bridesmaids here , too. We had no trouble reaching an agreement on the dresses. They arrived in plenty of time and were perfect.

Alterations:
The alterations for my gown and my bridesmaids dresses were done correctly and quickly. Good customer service.

We're so impressed with the new location! Lesley bought her own wedding dress at New York Bride and was treated like a treasured client and had the best experience. We are happy to send any future bride their way!
