You always hear the number one thing guests remember from a wedding was how much fun they had, aka dancing the night away. We knew it was our most important wedding vendor, and did much research in finding the perfect band. Well, we did find the PERFECT band in NEW YORK EDGE. Rich and the entire New York Edge band were top of the line musicians and performers. Their energy had every single guest on the dance floor. Their voices and instruments were incredible, and their song choice was carefully thought out. This is a classy band, with a lot of character and amazing entertaining skills. We couldn't have been any happier with the way our wedding turned out, and we owe a huge thank you to New York Edge for being such an important part of making this happen. Every guest left saying they've never heard such a great band...and we'd have to agree. We'd recommend them to anyone looking for an all around class act band, that will have you dancing the night away. Thank you NYE!

Hi RichMy daughter Tracey Schmitt and my new son -in-law were married thispast Saturday in Sandy Hook. You were the band she chose to play atthe wedding, and I must admit that your band was FANTASTIC, AWESOME,and to put it mildly the BEST!!! Right after their first dance ashusband and wife the dance floor started to ROCK!!! Everyone was outthere on the floor dancing, singing along and enjoying the music. Your" interplay" with the guests was PHENOMINAL. It was too bad that sucha wonderful evening came and went so quickly........ in my eyes thatmeans you made the wedding quite memorable with your music. I cannotthank Tracey enough for hiring you.. New York Edge is a great band! They were very professional, full of energy, and had the dance floor filled the entire evening.Everyone had a great time thanks to them and no one wanted to go home. It was an incredible evening and New York Edge set the tone, and had everyone dancing and having a great time all evening.Call them--they were great!

Working with Rich and the New York Edge was wonderful. Our guests loved the band and the dance floor was busy the whole night. They helped us work within our budget and even came through during a hurricane to perform. I absolutely recommend them, they are helpful, friendly, and talented.

We had tremendous expectations for our special day. You typically know what to expect when selecting the venue and you can guage the quality of the food based on the tasting. Since music is such an integral part of a successful party, we had fairly stringent requirements. Any anxieties we had during our planning were quelled once we met with Rich Greenfield and New York Edge Music. He was more interested in getting to know us than quickly rushing to discuss the business end of the engagement. His creativity and understanding of our preferences allowed NYEM to truly perform beyond our expectations. They engaged the crowd from the very beginning and maintained incredible energy throughout the night. I can't say enough about the talent and effort that this company brings. You will not be disappointed -- you will be blown away.

Rich and all the folks at NY Edge you guys were amazing! Our wedding was at the Bronx Zoo, and unusual setting, but you rocked it. Learning the song "Daughter in the Water" for my father and I to dance to meant so much to us. Our guests are still talking about you!Thanks!!!!

My email to Rich, the band leader, should sum up my review perfectly:It is has been almost 2 weeks since our wedding, and everyone is STILL talking about how much fun they had at the wedding, and most importanly, how awesome the band was!! My mom has had to stop answering the phone because it is ringing off the hook, and she is losing her voice! Everyone is absolutely raving about you guys. Not that I'm surprised! From the minute we met with you the first time and heard you guys, my mom and I were pinching each other on your couch. We had chills - you guys were so good! Once we signed the contract and left, I was literally jumping up and down on Broadway, because I knew that you guys would make our wedding one to remember. You did all that and more!! Everyone from age 18 to 70 was out on the dance floor from the minute they walked into the reception, until the minute it ended. And even after that! No one wanted to leave. The range of music you played was awesome - something for everyone, and such a constant variety, kept everyone on their toes all night! You guys totally know how to set up all the dance sets and keep the party going. There was never a dull moment, never a moment without music, and never one of those "ehh" songs that made everyone kind of drift off the dance floor. Here's a snippet from an email from one of my parent's friends: "The band was fantastic, and despite knee replacement surgery, not dancing was not an option!!" Even all of the vendors, who have of course been at tons of weddings, commented on how great you were and how it was the most packed dance floor they have seen. Our photographer stayed way overtime with no charge, just because he was having so much fun and wanted to capture everyone else having such a good time too! So Tim and I bow down to you, New York Edge, the absolute masters!! We can't thank you enough for making our wedding THE party to remember, and for being such a pleasure to work with throughout the whole process. You were always on top of all of the details, scheduling, and timing the night of the wedding, and I always felt like we were in such good hands. I can't wait for my friends to get engaged so I can hand over your contact info! I want to be a guest at a wedding you play at, so i don't have to be dragged off the dance floor for photos and such!!

if you want a fun party - these guys are the way to go!!! by the end of the night, EVERYONE was on the dance floor - including my 87 year old grandma. they are so much fun and play a really great mix of music - we didnt give them a list of songs, and rather let the see what the crowd liked. it worked out really well this way - we had some black eyed peas and usher, followed by some oldies and classic rock, and then some. music for everyone. and the wireless mics and instruments they use are awesome!!! they come out into the crowd and rock with everyone. how cool is that????

This is an amazing band and you can't go wrong! I enjoyed meeting with Rich on a couple of occasions to discuss our wedding and our choice in music. I spent a lot of time checking off the songs and making clear the music we would like to hear as well as the music to omit-- I was disappointed to hear Journey and Bon Jovi played at my wedding when we specifically asked for music with a beat and salsa. This is why I knocked a star off "responsiveness". However, our weddings guests loved it and the floor was constantly packed with dancers, and that's what counts! The band has a ton of energy, a few times I found myself dancing next to Rich and his bass guitar, I had not realized they could escape the stage and join the crowd. My guests also enjoyed the chance to sing into the mic with them here and there. In addition to playing good music, they were excellent performers in that sense and added to the excitement.NY Edge are true professionals with a nice working space. They also learned two songs for us with about 3 weeks to go, and did a fantastic job with them. I definitely recommend this band as a professional talented bunch who know how to keep the crowd going. In addition, they knew all the cultural stuff we wanted at our Jewish wedding-- mezinkah, horah, etc. They also frequently work at our venue and helped prepare us for the day.We used the classical trio for our ceremony, pianist for cocktail hour, and 8 member band for reception.

Working with Rich was awesome. He is a true musician and completely understood what we were looking for in a Wedding Band. We were totally against "over the top" wedding bands. We did not want the band leader to MC our night. We didn't want smoke machines, light shows or flashy tacky outfits! We simply wanted a classy, tasteful band to set the mood for our night.

We used New York Rhythm, one of his smaller Bands (7 pieces) and could not have been happier with our choice. They were a True Class Act! Very entertaining and very professional.

We had New York Rhythm. They were sensational. They played exactly the kind of music we asked for and had the dance floor packed all day long. During dinner they played the quiet background music we asked for which allowed our guests to talk to one another....something everyone commented on, and appreciated. Our guests had a fabulous time dancing and singing along. We have been hearing raves about the band from everyone.

Rich and his band could not have been more accommodating to my husbands taste in music. Rich really knows how to read the crowd to keep the party going. Everyone commented that they had never danced so much at wedding, and was so amazed at the nontraditional, omission of cheesy wedding songs that they were able to perform. (My husband is a Dead head so he thinks every band should be like a concert, and the New York Edge did not disappoint!)
