New York Food Company

I was not impressed with this vendor at all. I called them early in my planning process. I found them a on preferred list from my venue. The sales rep who called me was very rude and when she asked me what my budget was she stated that they may not be the right caterer for me. Since this was the first caterer I called I wasn't sure how to react. However every other caterer I have spoken to has been really helpful and accommodating. I can't really judge this caterer company as a whole but from my initial experience they were definitely very disappointing.

When we choose La Venta Inn for my son's wedding we knew the food would be prepared by New York Food Company. Even though they always have a tasting event for the families to attend to sample their food, the timing of our wedding prevented us from participating in their next tasting. So they arranged for a private tasting at their offices and kitchen in El Segundo. We chose the food we wanted to sample and they made an appointment just for us. Wow. What a fabulous experience. Everything was delicious and the presentation was equally impressive. This made it so much easier to pick our menu since they offer so many choices on their menu. Our wedding was December 20, 2008 and New York Food Company catered the party. All the guests were raving over the food and the service. Thanks to La Venta Inn and New York Food Company our wedding was a complete success.

Excellent food! I loved that we got to attend a tasting to sample the various types of food and see the different styles of serving them. We were very pleased with the presentation and how the appetizers were passed around. We were happy that they had a good assortment for our vegetarian and special diet attendees.

We found out that they have a larger menu than we originally thought. Some of our final choices were not even on the menu, but rather mentioned by food runners at the tasting. This place is amazing. You’ll be happy with just about anything. (Especially their Flat Iron Steak!)

New York Food Company catered my wedding at La Venta Inn, and the food was fantastic.
I think the best part was when they had the tasting, and they had everything there to try. Their meats are 5 star, chilean seabass was amazing, the chicken was delicious, and all of the various types of potato dishes were great, and the appetizers are the best, we had cheeseburger sliders with a special sauce, and tomato soup with mini grilled cheese sandwich, scallop and bacon skewers, I mean come on , this food is so good. And I haven't yet started talking about the cake. We chose a red velvet with cream cheese frosting, and it was the best cake ever, not to mention very pretty to look at. I can't wait for a friend of mine to use these guys so I can try this delicious food all over again.

The food was great and we had a lot of options to choose from. I know tons of people that have used NY Food Company and everyone has great things to say about them. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

My husband and I LOVE the food from the New York Food Company! For our wedding, we chose this amazing assortment of appetizers, chicken puff pastry for the main course, etc and it was delicious!! The food was art!! It was lovely and everything tasted so great!! Guests were extremely happy and raved about the food. We were at the LaVenta, so, it made a lot of sense to have such quality food for our special day in such a perfect setting. Of course, on the day of the wedding, one often forgets to eat enough, but the LaVenta Inn and the New York Food Company made sure that we were satisfied - they sent us home with a basket of goodies!! I would highly recommend NY Food Company to anyone who is getting married, especially at LaVenta Inn because they all work so nicely together!
