My wife and I hired Next Level for our wedding on April 5th 2012, and couldn't have been happier. We dealt with Joe, and he was nothing but completely professional and a pleasure to work with. We rented out Pita Paradise Wailea, and although he had never done an event there, he showed up early, set everything up perfectly and rocked our party! Every guest commented how fun the reception was, mainly because the DJ was so great! I would highly recommend working with Next Level for your wedding!

Joe Cortez/NextLevel is the BEST!! When I met him at the Bridal Expo, I knew immediately that we wanted to use his expertise and appreciated his professionalism and genuine warnth in helping families with entertainment services. He readily shared ideas that we incorporated into my daughter's wedding ceremony & reception. Had I met him earlierm it would have made our wedding planning so much easier. As my daughter lives in Oregon and wanted to come home to Maui for her wedding, Joe was very patient in discussions from her and myself. I would definitely recommend Joe for anyone needing DJ, entertainment &/or lighting services. On a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being best, I'd rate him and Next Leval as a TEN!!!

The whole team at Next Level Entertainment have been absolutely amazing! They are all easy to contact or get a a hold of and from the moment you meet Joe and his team they are absolute professionals and at the same time they make you feel as if you've know them for years. :)

Services we used was uplighting which definitely set the mood of our venue, custom monogram which we were able to pick out ourselves, everything from our entrance music, voice overs for our first dance & father/daughter, mother/son dance which added that special touch to the moments and the music throughout the whole evening, especially after our money dance was over and it was time to really party, to this day I have so many friends and family members tell me that they didn't want the night to end and it was all thanks to Next Level setting the mood for our wedding.

Another service we added on was the Emcee package and we wanted to book Jay J and he was absolutely amazing to work with. He also was a big help in planning our Shoelywed game which was an absolute blast to play with our wedding entourage and our guests.

There is no doubt in my mind that Joe and his team at Next Level Entertainment is the best of the best. Booking them as my entertainment and emcee vendor has been an honor and a blessing.

By far the best vendor to work with!!! All I can say is Joe Cortez and his crew are AMAZING!!! He was always easily reachable. Responded to all my emails, text, and calls promptly. And he went above and beyond to make our wedding day a memorable one.

Next level not only provided us with reception music but they took my dream and made it a reality. They did an amazing job with uplighting the entire hall. They provided us with a custom gobo monogram. They personalized our first dance, mother-son, and father-daughter dances. They also provided a MC for our wedding day who was as well AMAZING!

Next Level is affordable, professional, and spectacular at what they do. To all future brides out there if you have no idea where to start with your planning START RIGHT HERE AND CONTACT THEM TODAY! I only wish I had contacted them first. They provided so many services its like a ONE-STOP SHOP!

Next Level Entertainment made planning and organizing my reception incredibly easy and stress-free, fun and an experience like no other. They made themselves so available to us when it came to meeting (even at last minutes notice). One of the things they told us when we first met with them was that they really try to make the planning of your reception an easy, stress-free process by listening to us and working with us. They succeeded in this 100%!! When we first met I was impressed by how attentive Joe and Jason were. I really felt like they were really trying to get to know us in order to give us exactly what we wanted on our special day and they did exactly that. Joe and Jason helped us think of things we forgot we needed to include not only in our reception but in the wedding and the entire day itself. I loved that they helped us stay on track with our timeline for the reception. Most brides make a timeline for the reception for a reason, and I loved that Joe and Jason respected us enough to help us stick to it. I even had a friend of mine come up to us after the reception and tell us that if she knew about Next Level when she got married she would have used them! Our experience with Next Level Entertainment was absolutely flawless!!!!!!

Next Level Entertainment definitely exceeded our expectations. They are very professional and experienced. They have such a wide variety of music and will play whatever you ask for. They added a great touch to our reception by recording a voice over for the first dance, mother/son dance, and father/daughter dance. They also have many other services they can add such as uplighting and signatures on the dance floor. Our communication with Joe could not have been better. He always responded to emails promptly and was available to meet with us whenever we needed. We would definitely recommend Next level for anyone looking for a dj for an event.

I had no idea the impact lighting could have on settin the ambience for a wedding, but Next Level did exactly as their name implies - the raised the bar for this wedding and any event I get to coordinate in the future. The degree o professionalism, ability and artistry was probably only matched by their courtesy. It was an extreme pleasure to work with them and their work is amazing!

Next Level Entertainment is flat out the best DJ services we've ever had the pleasure of working with. From day one, they knew exactly what we wanted, and they delivered above and beyond what was promised. These guys have truly mastered their craft; professional, responsive, creative, and fun to work with; they were all of that and some. If there were 10 stars on the scale, they would get 11 from us. The music, the lighting, the sounds, the mixes, the back drop, and the ambiance were all amazing, thanks to NLE. Next Level Entertainment was such a fun, energetic, very flexible group to work with. For our wedding, it couldn't have been as fun and as beautiful with out Next level Entertainment. Not a very expensive service, it was very very worth all the money we spent. To all future brides, plan as early as you can. Be prepared for changes and just relax, no matter what happens the main reason everyone is there is because they are celebrating your marriage and the love you two share. Nothing else matter, so relax.

"The BRIDE" - The moment I was introduced to NLE I wanted to hire them IMMEDIATELY! I hadn't even spoken to Joe and yet and I knew they would be our DJ after checking out their website 2 minutes in! After speaking to Joe, I knew by his personality, professionalism and artist style that they we would be a perfect match for us! From the cocktail hour to the very end....the evening speaks for itself....had there be no noise ordinance curfew in Makena, the party would've lasted until the Maui Sunsrise! NLE kept the party going and our guests wanted more, but unfortunately our hands were tied. Our Venue "Honua Kai Lani Estate" was unspeakably amazing, but if you want to party longer than 10PM, I would think twice but do not hesitate in choosing NEXT LEVEL ENTERTAINMENT 808 to make your day simply amazing!

Joe Cortez (DJ) & Jason Salmo (MC) did a WONDERFUL job at our wedding on 07-30-11 at the Sheraton Maui! They were flexible; outgoing and friendly; definitely made our wedding planning process (esp our timeline) less stressful; also made us feel comfortable and at ease. Joe was very responsive and helpful to our questions; easy to reach via email or phone. For our wedding, we went with the DJ/EMCEE package plus the Platinum Uplighting package. The pink uplighting of the banquet room was AMAZING and made it more elegant despite the hideous-looking walls (LOL). It also complemented really well with our pink monogram on the dance floor (which I LOVED). :) We got many compliments from our guests. They enjoyed themselves on/off the dance floor and thought that this was the best wedding that they've ever been to! We are so grateful and glad that we went with Joe & Jason for our wedding day.

NLE was very helpful in delivering want we wanted at our wedding. Joe The DJ was great! I know this is a late review, but we waited til we received our video and photos because our wedding went by so fast and the amount of alcohol consumption it was difficult to take it all in! We got married on June 4th and our reception was at the King Kamehameha Golf Club. Our DJ was awesome and listened to everything we wanted, from our requested songs to the lighting of the reception hall. The lighting he put against the pillars, the room lit so beautifully even though the place itself was gorgeous. We also had a red carpet photo shoot as the guests arrived that he helped arranged for us. Our guests enjoyed it very much as well as our wedding party! Joe was very attentive to our last minute changes even on morning of that day of our wedding. Answering all my text messages about music changes my bridal group wanted! As we watched the video, we were just amazed how everything was put together. Our venue was surrounded by glass window and from the outside you could see how beautiful the lighting just lit up the whole place. We were very impressed and glad that we chose NLE! Thank you again Joe for doing such an amazing job on our special day!

It was a pleasure working with Joe of Next Level Entertainment. From the moment I inquired with him up until our weddingl day he was professional, quick to respond to any of my question's and most of all very friendly! We were happy with the quality of their service for both dj and up lighting. I highly recommend them for your event!

I can't even explain how many guests came up to me and told me how awesome the music at our wedding was! Joe was very professional throughout the entire process of finding and booking a DJ, and even helped me with my song selection with suggestions. He was very easy to get ahold of and has such a great attitude. I was VERY PLEASED with the job he did and will HIGHLY SUGGEST him to future brides getting married in Maui... he's an amazing DJ and well worth the money!

These guys are very professional! They were also a HUGE help in my wedding planning by giving us a lot of suggestions on things we didn't know. Next Level Entertainment did a few last minute requests that both me and my groom had AND they did it within 24 hours. Id recommend them to anyone and everyone!...when my slide show audio wasn't work correctly, they quickly resolved the issue with their own music. Everything turned out beautifully especially with all the uplighting they did and the monogram that they made for us!

I am the groom, and throughout the entire 'Wedding' planning process, I tried to keep my vision simple. I was introduced to Next Level Entertainment from a friend on island and from the beginning I was impressed with their style, personality, and presentation. Immediately the website prompted me to wanted to speak to someone about booking. Within the 1st 3 minutes of speaking with Joe Cortez, I knew he would be my DJ for our wedding. Joe and Rod hands down made our wedding reception a success. I saw Joe more than the Wedding Coordinator, and if it wasn't for him I would have been lost! N.L.E. kept the pace going, found a way to squeeze in all the little features we visioned for our day, and absolutely without a doubt kept our guests entertained to the fullest! Joe and NLE is your "one stop shop" for wedding entertainment... from music to sound systems and lighting effects.. .the list goes on! Joe and his team exceeded our expectations and we can't thank him enough for his patience, advice, enthusiasm and professionalism. As much as I hesitate to give a near perfect rating to any vendor, Joel and his Next Level Team were as advertised.

I called five DJ's hoping to meet up in person before leaving back to Portland in 3 days. Two DJ's said they were available to meet. One flaked. Joel didn't. The fact that Joel made time to meet on such short notice speaks volumes about his willingness to work with his clients. And like other reviewers have said, we just got a good vibe from Joel. Sometimes, that's all it takes to make a decision.

The process after booking Next Level was easy. We filled out a music questionnaire sheet a couple weeks before the wedding, had some conversations over the phone with Joel a few days before the wedding and that's it. Next thing I knew, it was the wedding day and Joel and his team were there early at the venue to set up. They mic'ed me up for the ceremony, the vows were heard by our guests, they played the right ceremony music. Done deal.

Reception time came around and they rolled with the party. They were very receptive to reading the crowd and did it very well. Dancing time came around and they killed it with the music. Im guessing the open bar helped a lot, but the dancefloor was packed till the end.

The biggest thing for my wife and I that we loved about Joel and his team was their laid back personalities. They seemed less like vendors and more like friends DJ'ing our party. And when you have that level of trust and comfort for a wedding vendor, all signs point to a bitchin good time.

For a group with the name Next Level, they've got a tall order to follow. And for my wife and I, and all our guests, Next Level Entertainment lived up to their name. They brought the party to a whole other level.
