Maria and her team (Maria, Nikki and Tony) provided excellent service. Her professionalism was above and beyond any vendor I have ever dealt with. All emails were responded to immediately (even when Maria was on vacation). Maria helped to make our vision come true. My flowers were absolutely stunning, everyone commented on flowers, decor and my invitations - one word - beautiful. I would highly recommend Maria and her team to anyone for all of the services that she provided. I used Niche Event Stylists for my day-of coordination, ceremony decor, rehearsal decor, and flowers. Maria is absolutely phenomenal. She is extremely patient and totally got my vision. I was an extremely picky bride, yet I was completely comfortable and at ease with Maria taking care of all the little details. She was always there when I needed her, and never complained about my thousands of emails or phone calls, and she always had the ability to calm me down when something or someone frustrated me. She never even got upset when I would decide on a colour or idea, than change my mind over and over just to decide on my original idea once again. She is extremely organized and on top of everything, and was always in touch with all my vendors. She was very supportive and full of ideas, always willing to help. I highly recommend Niche Event Stylists, you will not be disappointed! :)

In the end, the over-all look of my wedding was what I wanted, the vendor made the inside of the hall look beautiful even though we forgot to leave a list of what was to go on each table; we basically left a giant collection of pictures, vases, flowers and other decor and she turned it into a country/shabby-chic vision. The chairs that were ordered were exactly what I wanted and the lighting she put up was perfect.

My only issues with this vendor were that I did not feel she really listened to what I wanted during the planning of the wedding and sometimes she talked to me like I was an idiot, but I don't think she even realized she was doing it. Even my caterer noticed that she didn't listen and pushed for things after I had already said I didn't want them (like event tents and a head table area/wall draping).

In the beggining, I had given her my budget of $1000 and after she asked for ideas of what I wanted, the first quote I received was twice that. She didn't seem to understand that, for me, a budget is a budget and there isn't always more money available, even if it was only $20 for chairs.

On the wedding day, it had rained all day but was warm out. The one-room hall was supposed to be closed to guests prior to the ceremony in order for me to have somewhere to go without being seen, but when I arrived guests were in the building and already drinking. I'm not sure who thought it would be ok to have the bar open before the ceremony so I'm not blaming the vendor; I guess thoses drinks will just have to be photoshopped out of the ceremony pictures >:(.

I had already positioned the cedar arch that my husband had made, and specified with the vendor where we wanted the chairs, rain or shine, we had supplied some white umbrellas to cover chairs in case of rain and there was a huge covered deck for anyone who really couldn't stand being in the rain for 20 min, but knowing our friends and family it wouldn't have mattered because when you live in the lower mainland, you're use to rain, & no one I know is made of sugar. Luckily the rain had stopped about 30 minutes before the ceremony which was perfect, unfortunately, the vendor still decided to move the arch, and put all the chairs on the deck.
The new location was not at all necessary nor pretty and left nowhere for our wedding party (of 10) to stand; on one side of the arch was a 2 foot drop and on the other, a concrete sidewalk and the side of the building. It also would have cut my aisle walk to one third and left me standing in sand and new grass seed. I learned about the change literally at the very last minute and almost had an aneurism. It only took 2 minutes for the groomsmen to put the arch back where it belonged and our guests were happy to move their chairs to the lawn.

My advice in dealing with this vendor would be to be very specific with what you want and what your vision is, and repeat yourself if need be. I'm a pretty casual person and was not always super specific but when I was things got changed anyway, so I don't know. Other than the couple things noted above, the hall looked great and I was happy. I'll click on "recommend" because the end result was a pretty hall which suggests that maybe she listened more than was previously evident, but I'm not sure if the last minute anger and frustration was totally worth it and there is no "maybe" option.

Where do I start on how amazing my experience with Niche Event Stylists was. Maria is phenomenal. Organized, thorough and precise. She is fun and has some really unique and lovely ideas. I gave her the reins to my wedding, I was out of town from the site and where she is located, living a province away, yet I had full faith in her to plan my special day. I was wowed. The wedding was more amazing than i had expected and I give credit to Maria. She made my day happen, took care of all of the details from rentals of decor, linens, flowers, invites, cake places, basically all of the vendors. I would HIGHLY recommend Maria with Niche Event Stylists to anyone planning any event! Love her!!

Maria was so wonderful, easy to work with, and affordable. She was able to take my theme (we did a poker themed wedding) and collaborated with me to create a marvelous atmosphere. She had great decorating ideas and even helped with the set up of decor items that she did not provide, which many other decorators would charge extra for. I even recommended her to my venue to recommend to other brides since I was so happy with working with her. I know you won't be disappointed if you use Niche Events Stylists!

Niche was great! Maria was extremely helpful at a very reasonable cost. As this was a first wedding for my self and my husband, there were a lot of things we hadn't even thought about and Maria was very professional and helpful.
