Niquay Fa

I hired Niquay based on a recommendation from my now husband and I couldn't be happier that I did! She made my bridal party, my Mother and myself look absolutely beautiful for the most important day of my life. She was VERY professional and she even traveled out of state for my destination wedding. I cannot stress enough how perfect everything turned out. (She also helped me find a fantastic photographer!) Thanks again..

I ended up not booking her because of the same complaint that the previous poster listed. She was very unprofessional. Her work looks nice on her website but I just wish her attitude reflected the beautiful work that she does.

Niquay is not only an incredibly talented make-up artist, but is a beautiful person -- inside and out. I hired Niquay on the spot following my trial with her in August 2008 for my August 2009 wedding. The next day my sister booked Niquay for her own wedding in February 2009. Having made us look beautiful for two wedding this year, Niquay has become a cherished friend.

When it came time to schedule my engagement pictures, I knew that I wanted Niquay to do my make up. She surprised me by styling my hair as well, for no additional charge. The boost to my confidence from having truly flawless hair and makeup really showed in the pictures.

The same was true for both my sister's wedding and mine. Niquay arrived early and promptly got to work. Each member of the bridal parties was thrilled with her makeup, which lasted all day. Niquay also brought such a great energy into the house while we were getting ready. On what could become a very stressful day, Niquay kept everyone positive and calm. She is truly a consummate professional.

I'm hoping to schedule a makeup lesson with Niquay in the near future to try to steal some of her secrets to apply to my normal, daily look. I can say, without reservation, though, that I will gladly hire Niquay for all of my formal events in the future and would recommend her to family and friends.

ETA -- For my wedding, Niquay was even able to airbrush a terrible bruise I had on my arm. When she finished, it was barely noticeable in person, and completely imperceptible in photos.

I happened to meet Niquay when she was working as a makeup consultant for a high-end company over 10 years ago. From the very first day that I met her, I knew there was something absolutely unique about her. My initial inquiry was regarding an event that I was going to and I wanted my makeup done. She gave me her card and we took it from there. The day of the event she arrived 1 hour early. I can not even explain to you the incredible job that she did. I have never received so many compliments on my makeup before. When I walked into the event I looked as if I was walking down the runway! Her professionalism, trustworthiness and wonderful attitude spoke louder than anything to me. She even helped me with my hair at no charge. Since that time I have been a long time customer of Niquay's. I have been in several weddings, in which I have used her. In addition, any event that I am attending, I call on Niquay. I have the utmost assurance that when I call on Niquay I am getting the best service and attention that anyone could ever expect. My only regret is that I met her after I got married and was unable to use her on my own wedding day. Although I would like to renew my wedding vows, so I will be calling on Niquay for that. I have and will continue to recommend Niquay to any bride who wants to stand out above the rest, Niquay will definitely give you that personal touch that you are looking for.

I found Niquay through Mia from Bridal Lounge. I was going to hire Mia but it turned out she was already booked and she recommended Niquay. Apparently, Niquay charges more than Mia but was willing to use Mia’s price structure.

I had a trial with her and I loved it. My makeup looked beautiful. She used airbrush makeup and it felt great. I hired her on the spot.
I had a couple of doubts in the months leading up to the wedding. We had worked out that I would send a certain amount of money each month (easier for me). When I hadn’t sent the first payment within the first week of September, I got a bunch of calls and emails about how I needed to send payment immediately. I was a little turned off by this… nowhere on the contract did it state that I had to send the payment in by a certain date. Eventually, it was worked out but in the end, I wasn’t too sure I made the right decision.

On the day of the wedding, Niquay arrived at NYBG 30 mins early (even before I got there!). Any doubts I had vanished. She was so nice to have around, lots of fun, put everyone at ease and, most of all, made my entire bridal party look GORGEOUS! I have no reservations recommending Niquay to anyone who is looking for airbrush makeup.

My experience with Niquay Fa is one I will never forget. She was my second consult and I was eager to see her work. Before she started I explained to her what I wanted to look like and I showed some pictures from my first consult in which my husband was mortified. Despite my feelings about the previous consult she complimented the other artist's work and explained to me the need for highlighting and contouring. Never once discrediting the work of the other artist, which immediately put me at ease knowing that she would give me her honest opinion, despite the fact that I had't even hired her yet. My husband came home in midst of my trail and the look on his face told me that I was going to book her. The day of my wedding she arrived 1 hour earlier than her scheduled time and made everyone look like they where getting ready to walk the red carpet. I continue to use her for all of my social events and reffer her to my friends and colleagues. She has also donated her time to non- profit agenys within Nassau County applying make-up to disabled adults for over two years. We have also maintained a professional relationship for over five years now. I would highly recommend her to any bride considering her services.
