I couldn't have asked for a better wedding coordinator for my wedding! Jo was amazing with us from the beginning well past our wedding date. Before we even signed a contract with her, she took an hour out of her schedule to help me figure out my wedding colors. From that point on, she has helped me with figuring out many different details. I have already recommended her to an engaged coworker and will continue to recommend her to anyone I know who becomes engaged! We weren't going to get a DOC at first but someone sent me a black friday deal and we decided to go for it and boy am I glad we did. Jo was absolutely wonderful. She handled everything perfectly, when the few things went wrong (from other vendors) she took care of them, made sure everyone was where they needed to be at the right time, coordinated gifts, set up/breakdown and everything and anything that came up. She was there for the rehearsal as well which was the first time we actually met her and she was on top of her game. (and with a bridal party of 19 it was certainly a challenge!) 100% recommend her - outstanding service!

We used her service for "Day of Coordinator." Ms. Byrd was very professional and manages very well under pressure. The ceremony had to be moved from outside to inside one hour prior to the start of the ceremony at Shades of Green due to rain. This was handled in a calm manner with very little disruption to original plans. She has the ability to shoulder all the stress without showing it at all. We highly recommend her and she had some very good recommendations of other vendors that she has a working relationship with. As the Mother of The Bride I was extremely happy my daughter had met and hired her at the Bridal Fair at The Peabody in January. Her services were without a doubt superior!!!!!

We hired Jo as our day of coordinator after realizing that we had a number of “do-it-yourself” items and would need help on our wedding day so that we could relax and not have anything to worry about. That is exactly what Jo allowed us to do. She was unbelievable! I was trying to be super bride and do everything by myself. For instance, I was going to have my floral delivered to my house the day of the wedding and take them to the venue in the limo with me since delivery to the venue was more expensive. Jo talked me out of this crazy idea and called the florist and had them delivered to her office and then she sent me pictures just to make sure I was happy with them before she took them to the venue. When our photo guestbook almost didn’t happen at the wedding because the person responsible for it didn’t do what they were supposed to do, Jo stepped in and got it completed. She set up the venue exactly the way we asked and even better because she understood my vision and cared just as much about my wedding as I did. When things got off schedule, she was there to get us back on schedule. There were so many things that Jo did for us I could go on and on. She went above and beyond our expectations and was a true professional. Jo is someone you can put your trust in and know that she is going to do what’s best for you and your wedding. My mother thought she deserved even more than what we paid for her services and my mother is absolutely right. Jo was worth every penny and much more. She was a pleasure to work with and truly made our wedding day even more special.

I worked with Jo as my day of planner. She did a really good job with the rehearsal and on the day of the wedding I felt like she was superwoman. She was in 10 places all at once. She made sure that the final details came together and made sure that I was stress free. Everyone said she did an awesome job and I think she was the last person to leave the venue. She packed up extra cake for us to take home, packed away the cards and the gifts, saw us off for the night and made sure that we had fun. She made sure that we ate something, mingled with our guests and danced. I would highly recommend her.

Jo was worth every penny and then some! I hired her as a day-of coordinator and would recommend her to anyone in a heart beat. Though I planned most of my wedding, she helped keep me on task from the beginning and sent me referrals if I asked for them. She is a very soothing person to be around (something you need the day of the wedding) and VERY flexible. On the day of the wedding I was able to hand off all the decorations, lists, and "to-do's" with out a worry and everything went off with out a hitch. She took charge, problem solved, and filled in the gaps when something was forgotten about. If you live in the Central Florida area, you won't regret hiring her!! THANKS JO!

I decided to hire a day of coordinator so that my family and friends could relax and enjoy the day. I told Joquetta that I needed her there to make sure the day ran smoothly because I had taken care of everything else. I really thought that was all she had to do. Joquetta went above and beyond. There were so many small details that I hadn’t thought of and she took care of it all. She was there for the rehearsal and coordinated everything. She was there to help set up and I was amazed at how beautiful everything was when I walked into the ceremony and reception areas. She helped the ceremony and reception to flow smoothly and she was there at the very end to make sure everything was cleaned up and we were out on time. Joquetta was great and we are so happy that she was there to make our day so special and wonderful.

HIRING JOQUETTA WAS THE BEST THING I DID FOR MY WEDDING!!! I was very hesitant hiring a day of coordinator considering my wedding was fairly small and I handled everything up until the day of but this was the best choice I made! Due to my wedding being on a Sunday I didn't have a formal rehersal (due to another wedding at the venue on Saturday) and she took the bridal party and ran things thru them before the ceremony and had EVERYTHING under control. When the caterer's couldn't find my alcohol she took care of it. When the limo driver didn't show up she took care of it. There was nothing Jo couldn't do and not once did she look stressed and kept her cool all night. My wedding wouldn't have been the same had I not hired her. Not once was I stressed when any issues came up and I left everything in her hands. I wouldn't have been able to enjoy my day the way I did had I not hired Jo! Joquetta is totally a super planner! She was responsible for my day of coordination and I do not know how I could have enjoyed my wedding day without her. She was very detailed and swiftly addressed ALL of my concerns. At times, I would be apprehensive to express my concerns because she was already performing one million tasks, but she had a radar that sounded every time I needed something and consequently jumped at yet another duty(Thanks!). Overall, Joquetta ran miles for me, tracked all of my vendors, mandated all of my needs, created a garter when i forgot mine, executed all of my dreams, orchestrated a wedding we will never forget and left all of my guest saying, "She is sharp." I would hire her again in a heartbeat! Hands down superb service!

Joquetta was a breath of fresh air from the rehearsal at the church to seeing that all was running smoothly at our reception. She was quick, respoonsive & very professional with how she managed every little detail. Although our wedding was small, there were so many minute things that Joquetta took care of from making sure all decorations were in place and to the correct destination, to seeing that the wedding party and guests were where they supposed to be. She was above & beyond what we had expected, she was absolutely wonderful. She even made a point to dress according to our wedding colors. We strongly and highly recommend her & know that she's not one to disappoint anyone.

2. Will the consultant devise a master plan mapping out all the little details, from the announcement to the decor?
No. 1 Wedding Planner will provide you with a specifically dated time line that covers every detail.
3. Can the consultant get discounts with any vendors?
Some of our vendors do offer discounts or a free gifts. No. 1 Wedding Planner will get you the best deal possible.
4. Will the consultant read over the vendor contracts for you? What are some common traps to look out for?
Yes! This is a big part of our job and we work hard to protect you. Some traps to look for would be cancellation policy, confirming who will be working that day and who would cover the event for the professional in case of an emergency.
5. Can the consultant create a timeline that tells everyone involved in the planning process -- vendors, members of the wedding party, bride/groom, and families -- what to do and when to do it? How will she/he make sure that everyone sticks to the schedule?
Yes! Once your event and date are confirmed with us we provide a specifically dated time line to the bride, the groom, the bestman and the maid of honor. A planning program for professionals that we use lets of keep on top of each detail.
6. Will the consultant handle the invitations, from wording and ordering to the addressing and mailing?
Yes! We sit with you to place the ordering to ensure the wording and layout are correct.
7. Will the consultant coordinate delivery, arrival, and setup times with photographer, florist, musicians, caterer/banquet manager, etc.?
Yes! A week before the wedding a final event resume is put together and either emailed or faxed to every vendor participating in the day. Our cell phone is given in emergency and a complete timeline is given for delivery, set up, event schedule and breakdown.
8. For the day of the wedding, will the consultant be willing to oversee the entire event by supervising vendors, troubleshooting emergencies, and soothing nerves? Can she/he share any anecdotes that required performing above and beyond the call of duty?
Yes! This is the biggest reason to have a wedding consultant and we enjoy being there in the thick of things watching it all come together and seeing the bride, groom and guests enjoying the day.
9. Will the consultant be willing to step in as your advocate, conveying your visions and desires to vendors when you don't feel up to the task?
Yes! We especially like to be present when you meet with the caterer or hotel staff to discuss menu, reception décor and set up. Most couples are fine meeting with the vendors on their own but we will be there when needed. It is never a problem for us to attend every vendor meeting if needed.
10. Will the consultant help plan and book your honeymoon?
Yes! We can if needed. We work with some wonderful travel planners as well who can take excellent care of your every need.
