Reviews for Norwegian Cruise Lines
We did a 7 day cruise in Hawaii and it was our first cruise experience. Visited Maui, Oahu, Big Island and Kauai. Kauai was our absolute favorite Island of them all. NCL was one of the best vacations we ever had. The food is spectacular with plenty of options and restaurants. The thing we liked the most about NCL is that they do not make you sit with other cruisers for dinner. This is what sold us on NCL. Plenty of entertainment on the ship but we also did several excursions. Most of the excursions are not cheap so plan on spending anywhere from 100.00-150.00 per person. We really did not care though since we were in vacation mode not to mention everything was well worth the price.
I highly recommend NCL but I also recommend a cruise in general. From the time we landed in Oahu NCL had staff at the airport waiting for us, and other cruisers as well. They treat you like gold and are very accommodating.
Beautiful Alaskan cruise, the perfect honeymoon. Be careful though, the freestyle cruise costs more than you think. The soft drinks cost extra, eating at any of the better restaurants will cost extra...combine that with the cost of the excursions and the alcoholic beverages and you have a very very expensive vacation. I wouldn't trade the experience though!
We took the Boston to Bermuda 7-day cruise, which was a perfect way to get out of town! We got married on Saturday, slept in a nice hotel Saturday night in Boston, and left Sunday morning on the cruise. It was nice not to have to fly by plane to get anywhere-- we had a relaxing breakfast, and took our time getting to the cruise ship. Once the ship arrives in Bermuda, it stays in the same location for 3 days, which is great, because we rented mopeds and got to tour the island! You can park the moped next to the ship overnight, and then its there for you when you come out in the morning. We explored many of the old crumbling forts on the island, hiked the rocky cliffs, and walked the beaches- a truly memorable and relaxing honeymoon, which is essential after all of the chaos of wedding-planning! A highly recommended trip!
Being our first cruise, we were not impressed with NCL, however, we were in Hawaii, so how could it not be great!
The ship was very clean, lots of good programs, we went to Europe and the ports were all excellent as we saw many romantic places!
My husband does not like to fly, so choosing a cruise leaving from NYC was a no-brainer! We set sail on the Norwegian Dawn, taking us to Florida and the Bahamas. It was a wonderful time! Norwegian is known for their “freestyle dining”, meaning that you are not forced to sit with strangers for meals on your honeymoon, nor are you locked into set meal times.
We decided on a honeymoon cruise departing from Ft. Lauderdale and visiting Dominican Republic, Tortola, St. Thomas, and Great Stirrup Cay. The cruise itself was fun but was more geared to older passengers with the activities offered. The food was decent at the free restaurants but we were able to eat at the more upscale restaurants for a cover charge. I wouldn’t recommend cruises for a honeymoon because of the lack of privacy and the tiny guest rooms.
We took a Meditteranean cruise with NCL Gem, it was a great experience, very relaxing, and at the same time we visited a lot of places and just had awesome time.
