NOVA 535

What did NOVA do for me? Made me look like a million bucks in front of both my family and hers. I can't say enough for the venue and staff. We had nearly 200 guests, huge cake, massive catering plan, massive decorations, and Melissa kept everything running like a dream. My sister told me afterwards how impressed my Dad was with the wedding we were able to put together, which was huge to me. Thank you NOVA! (and we're planning to do our 20th anniversary there too!)

Thank God for Melissa and Michael. We booked NOVA immediately after our on-site visit, falling madly in love with the wood floors, gorgeous architecture, bar space and package inclusions. The outside of this venue does NOT do it justice. Enter into a world of class and sex appeal, oozing with rich art and surfaces. Gorgeous. When we booked in January 2012 (12 months before the wedding), we were assigned a person who didn't bother to work with us, respond to inquiries - nothing. Well that person is no longer there. I contacted Melissa, NOVA's seriously rockstar event coordinator, to explain that it was two months to my wedding and nothing had been planned. They explained the woman was gone and that they needed to square our day away ASAP. The venue owner sat down with myself and my wedding planner for almost 3 hours to walk through every single detail of our wedding. I was completely blown away by his generosity and level of customer service. If anything, NOVA is seriously detail-oriented. I was so impressed and even had the chance to meet the in-house DJ (USE HIM!!!!). NOVA really worked with us to make amends for the fault in customer service and Melissa rocked the house the day of our wedding. She was always there asking questions; she kept tabs on my dog (Yes, they allow dogs in the venue!!!!!!); she kept tabs on my dad; she is seriously amazing. We had a few small fires that night and Melissa was immediately there to remedy the situation. We had requested that a certain beer be served and it wasn't. Melissa found out and BAM! She had that beer ready to go. I couldn't recommend this venue enough. It IS pricey; we ended up spending the bulk of our budget on the venue alone, but there are a lot of extras included and if you are going for the all-in-one deal, this is a great place to do it. All of my guests had an amazing time and just couldn't say enough about the fantastic venue. Book your wedding now! These guys will do your big day justice and then some.

My wedding was held here on 11-9-12 and it was a dream come true. I searched high and low for a venue for my wedding, not wanting the typical outdoor, beach, ballroom, Florida wedding. The second I walked into Nova 535, I got the feeling I had been waiting for. Warm, inviting, and intimate. It was the perfect place to hold my modern, chic wedding to the man of my dreams. Donna was so helpful in booking the venue and making the package fit into my vision and my budget. She was always available to answer any questions I had along the way. Melissa, my wedding corrdinator, was out of this world. She is amazing at what she does. She made my wedding dream a reality and everything ran smooth from start to finish. I cannot say enough good things about her and her team. In all the chaos of a wedding, she holds it together without breaking a sweat!!! DJ, Jaey kept the party going all night long and played a great mix of music for all the guests to enjoy. If you are thinking of booking a wedding with Nova 535, DO IT, you will not be dissapointed it will be your wedding dream come true and your guests will be blown away by the beauty and ambience of this amazing venue!! NOVA 535 was the perfect venue of my Oct wedding, my dream venue in fact! The bamboo garden is beautiful and the indoor reception space is beyond amazing! The whole NOVA team was a pleasure to work with. Donna was great, extremely helpful and quick to respond to every email or call. Kristin was professional and did a great job of bringing everything together and making the night to smoothly. I couldn't have been happier.

We hosted our wedding at NOVA, and couldn't have had a better experience. We had to postpone our wedding due to a death in the family, and the staff at NOVA were extremely helpful and accommodating during the process. Kristin, our wedding coordinator, was incredible. She went above and beyond to make sure everything went off without a problem. Our family raved about the venue - from the staff and service to the decor - everything was perfect. We HIGHLY recommend NOVA.

When I initially got engaged, I had no idea where I wanted to have my wedding all I knew was that I was looking for a unique venue that everyone would love. I started searching for different places around the Tampa Bay area until finally I stumbled upon Nova 535 in the middle of the night. I woke up my fiancée and told him that we had to get married here, it was so “us.” I quickly called up Donna and scheduled a meeting with her to scope out the place and get pricing for everything we were looking for. When we walked in there I think we both fell in love – the brick walls, the fun art, the rooms upstairs, the awesome bathrooms downstairs, the venue is just spectacular! I especially loved the fact that they provided a lot of the things we needed for the wedding – tables, chairs, liquor, DJ, day-of coordinator, valet parking, etc.

On the day of the wedding I could not wait for the reception, my husband created the gobo and it looked awesome on the wood floors. DJ Jaey was so great, I couldn’t have picked out a better DJ myself. Melissa was on top of everything throughout the night and was basically invisible during the reception. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an extremely unique venue and great service. Donna and Melissa were truly awesome to work with and very professional throughout the process :)

Absolutely an amazing venue. Guests are still raving about the place. Melissa and Donna were so helpful through the whole process and made sure everything went smoothly. If you're able to have your wedding here, do it you will NOT regret it.

NOVA was an amazing venue. It was not only unique, but the service that goes with it is over the top. Melissa was our planner and she was so orginized, on top of everything, and not invasive during the reception. She was accommodating when small changes needed to be made and was so pleasant to work with. I would use NOVA again for an and all events.

NOVA 535 is the best place to have your wedding in the Tampa Bay Area. As a wedding professional it was important for me to pick a place that really represent my husband and I on our big day. Nova has a great fun and energetic atmosphere. The space is wonderful and modern. Donna and Melissa were a pleasure to work with. They were there to answer all my questions and help guide me if I needed help. Even the small errors that were made that day, Nova was quick to react to make it right, that meant a lot to me. Your wedding day is never perfect, there are always small bumps on they way, but it makes it perfect by the help and assistance provided by the professionals who are there to smooth things over. My guests had a lot of fun. They complimented the uplighting, art, and trendy location. I could not have imagined having my wedding at any other place. Thanks Nova for helping me have a beautiful wedding.

However, I agree with the other reviewer that there is an additional charge for some amenities that would be otherwise included in other venues. The hefty fee of the venue rental does NOT include the use of the kitchen. So basically you pay for the venue & have to pay another hefty fee for the kitchen so your caterer has a place to work in.

What I was most happy with was the services provided by Melissa. She was great to work with & I was impressed with how organized and thorough she is. Donna was pleasant but she can be sneaky about things in the contract so you have to watch every little thing and be on guard.

Overall--- gorgeous venue but prepare to pay extra for things that other venues normally include.

Everything about NOVA 535 is great for a unique, fun, easy, and memorable wedding. My partner and I have nothing but fantastic things to say about the venue and the staff. Our contacts at NOVA, Melissa and Donna, went above and beyond to make sure our day was special. We were initially attracted to NOVA because we wanted a fairly out of the box event but didn't want a cookie cutter wedding and NOVA delivered for sure. Most of our guests couldn't believe NOVA was as beautiful as it is. We utilized the outside space for our ceremony and definitely recommend it! Contrary to what a previous reviewer said (who I really can't believe based on our experience) - Donna and Melissa are quick to respond and ALL of our vendors loved working with the staff and space at NOVA.

Nova 535 was the perfect place for our wedding! The minute we walked in the door, we knew this was the place! The atmosphere is so classy, yet has the party feel as well. Everyone of our guests were amazed by Nova and had nothing but great things to say about the place. The staff at Nova are fantastic! They are all so helpful and are there to make sure your event goes perfectly. Melissa is the event coordinator on site and she was fabulous! She made floor plans and time lines and made sure everything flowed smoothly. I love Nova 535 and I could not have imagined having our wedding and reception anywhere else. It definitely is the #1 place for weddings!

NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!Besides how beautiful the actual space is there is absolutly no way I would recommend this place to anyone! They are extremly expensive and for what they cost didn't give quality service. The person who is supposed to be the event coordinator left an hour into our wedding. Didn't even inform me or my husband just left, lucky for me I had my own wedding planner. Most of the vendors I worked with did not have positive things to say about the place beside how beautiful it is, which hands down the place is beautiful and different which is why we picked it but other then that not what I was expecting. Donna who deals with the money aspect of things, does not respond to emails or phone calls in a timely manner,when I do get a hold of her she is very nice but I still have not recieved my refund and it has been almost a month now, plus they are trying to keep money from me by placing cost in the contract that where never agreed upon in the original, last minute when guest count went down they try to charge for water and juice so that they didn't have to give as much money back. Not happy at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Choosing NOVA 535 as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions that my husband and I made in regard to our wedding. Beyond the stunning decor and ambiance of the venue, everything about NOVA 535 was fantastic.

From our first meeting with Michael we knew that we were making the right decision. If I had a question, Donna would reply to my phone calls or emails immediately - it was fantastic! Melissa helped to ensure that every detail was in place, and she was so easy to work with. On the day of the wedding, Ashley was there - there just are not enough words to explain how absolutely wonderful she is! She kept me so calm and collected (admittedly not an easy feat!), and she went out of her way to make sure that everyone was taken care of. In a humorous moment during my father's toast, he realized he was giving a toast but did not even have a drink in his hand. Ashley hurried and ran a glass of wine out to him, and everyone applauded! Such a fun moment and a testament to how she is constantly "on the ball." :)

NOVA 535 really thinks of everything - and I think that our wedding was an absolute success in large part because of their attention to detail. I would highly recommend them to everyone for any future event.

The place is amazing and unique. It is a bit overpriced and they charge you for every little thing. You have to get your own caterer but if you are looking for a fabulous non-traditional venue you should check it out.

Nova 535 is hands down the most unique, beautiful, stunning, fun, and memorable ceremony and reception venue you could ever want!! My husband and I booked Nova when we lived in Miami, and were suddenly transferred to New Orleans! We thought about trying to move the wedding to NOLA, but are SO glad we didn't. There really is nothing like Nova out there.

The whole staff was amazing, they worked so hard and were with me every step of the way. Having to complete all my plans from afar was challenging and I couldn't not have done it without the amazing talent of Melissa, Donna, and the whole Nova team. They even sent pdf files of the floorplan to help me visualize.

It was so important to me to have a wedding that represented my husband and I, nothing cheesy, no tacky carpet- I really wanted to avoid that whole "rental ballroom/ hotel convention center" feeling that SO many wedding venues are. Nova was PERFECT. All of our guests couldn't stop gushing at how cool and amazing the space was.

Book it now, you won't regret it!!

I can not tell you enough how happy I am that my husband and I chose to spend our most special day of our lives at Nova535. The facility itself is beyond amazing and gorgeous and beautiful, etc... but the real gem about this place is the staff. Donna worked with us from day 1 to make sure we were getting every detail we wanted and was more than helpful with anything and everything we asked of her. Melissa and Ashley were with us on our wedding day and made everything go off perfectly as planned. It was such a pleasure working with all of these awesome ladies and made our wedding experience so perfect because we didn't have to worry about a thing. Every detail was was fine tuned and the schedule was right on down to the minute. Nova was the most amazing backdrop for our photos and didn't really need much decoration because it such a gorgeous venue to begin with. From the brick walls to the wood floors and the wrought iron railings, this one of a kind place was honestly my favorite part of our wedding, besides my handsome husband of course! If you want a unique venue and terrific experience like we were lucky to have, you'd be silly to not choose Nova535 as your venue. We loved it so much we chose to have our reception and ceremony there, and it worked out perfectly.

Nova 535 was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding and reception. We searched high and low for a non-beach, non-hotel, non-cliche wedding space in Tampa Bay. Nova hit the mark, and was so very much more!

The building/event space are impeccable and the overall atmosphere is top notch. We are from the North East, and many of our guests kept commenting that they could not believe they were in Florida upon walking in the doors. It seemed like a slice of an Art Gallery in SoHo or the Village in ambiance and design.

The art pieces displayed, the multi-dimensional lighting, epic sound-system, and gorgeous appointments are all lush and clean in concept. From the table settings, to the sleek couches and seating areas, to the great upstairs cocktail area, Nova truly is a remarkably elegant space.

We would highly recommend Nova to anyone looking for an open, inviting, and engaging venue to hold any event. The flexibility of the building itself in use of space and its proprietor's willingness to accommodate almost any idea, truly makes it an easy choice for anyone looking to have a modern wedding reception.

Nova 535 is such a unique and beautiful venue, I would recommend them to any and every bride looking for a departure from the typical ballroom reception. Seriously, we love when we get to work with a bride who has chosen Nova as their venue. Gorgeous space that needs absolutely no enhancements to have a beautiful and memorable wedding, and the staff are always very helpful and professional.

This is a wonderful wedding venue! As a photographer there are unique lighting challenges that allow for great drama and variety. I always enjoy myself when I shoot an event here.

Amazing venue. Great for any event but I think it has that special something for a wedding.

A gorgeous venue! Cake delivery is such a breeze and everything is always prepared for us, makes it so much easier. Coolest venue ever. A rustic, urban sort of glamour that sets the perfect scene for a modern couple. Love the exposed brick walls, high ceilings, loft space, and artistic wrought iron stair rail. Michael and his team are fantastic hosts.

This is a great venue! Their staff is terrific and will make every effort to ensure that your event is nothing short of spectacular. Their decor is great for photography , and I say this as a professional wedding photographer. The atmosphere they create there for their guests is second to none. NOVA 535 is one of the most unique and beautiful spaces St. Pete has to offer. It has a loft feel with all of the amenities of a 5 star resort! Once you see it for yourself, you will be amazed at this hidden jewel. Micheal is also awesome. Very social and relaxed, a great person to work with.
