Office Max
Reviews for Office Max
We found the print it yourself invitations and used the ink color that would match our wedding colors. Saved us money!
Price and product were great, as was the turn-around. We used the "BCT" stuff, which you have to ask for since it's not their main vendor.
We found some fun stationary for wedding and hotel direction. I also brought all of my invitations and programs to be copied here. The service was fast and affordable.
We bought the invitations at Office Max and had them printed there. We copied them quite inexpensively in black ink using a silver bordered paper with silver foiled envelopes and silver seals. I was very impressed that there was no expensive paper wasted and they were also able to reproduce and cut the reception cards in color on special pearlized paper.
It was my mother-in-laws idea to make postcards and send out postcards as the save-the-dates, since postcards are much cheaper than a regular letter. We bought blank postcards from Office Max, the kind made from the thicker cardboard, and then we printed up our own cards. My husband used this as an excuse to get a new printer, which was also on sale at Office Max. I thought it would be hard and take long, but it took less than two hours to print up 200 cards. The thing that takes long is getting everyone’s mailing address.
We decided that we would print up our own save the date cards and mail them to friends and family. This was really easy. We were at Office Max to get note pads, and then saw the kits, and decided that it was cheap and looked easy enough to do ourselves. The staff person told us that the kits were easy to use, and he was right, it was really easy. The kit we chose, which came in a pack of 50, was pretty and easy to print and assemble. The directions were clear and we were able to figure out how to print them through our own printer really easy.
We decided to burn personalized cd's for our guests-which they loved! We bought all the supplies from Office Max...the blank cd's and cd cover labels. We were able to create and design the cover and the cd labels were easy to print off and apply to the cd's. We saved a lot of money doing that and had a great time putting everything together. We bought clear jewel cases to put the cd's in to pass out at the reception and everything turned out great...so many people commented on how personalized and fun they were. The supplies total cost around $80...not too bad!
Take advantage of coupons! I know they have printable invitations here but that is not what I came for. Here I just got a lot of Linen paper (Office Depot brand 24/lb.) to use for wedding programs. I had bought a decorative rubber stamp from another store for using on my invitations and now I can also use the same stamp for the programs. The Linen paper is very soft and has a elegant feel to it. It would have normally cost me $25 to buy this paper but I had a $10 coupon - so be watching for thier adds and take advantage!!!
No matter what you do, do not use Office Max for your wedding invitations. My fiancé and I ordered our invitations there, thinking we had found a clever way to save some money, but it was a disaster. After originally placing and paying for the order, Office Max “lost” it and claimed that we had never actually placed an order with them. When we showed them the receipt, they actually accused us of having picked up the receipt off the sidewalk and trying to scam them out of money using someone else’s purchase. Once they finally found the order and agreed that we had paid for invitations, they forgot to actually place the order with their supplier! Two weeks went by where we thought the order had been placed and was on its way, but they had never placed it. When they finally got around to placing the order with their supplier, a full month after we originally placed our order, they guaranteed us a date by which the invitations would be ready. On that date, there were no invitations ready, and they promised us another date. When we went back on that date, the invitations were still not ready. This went on as our wedding date approached and we stressed about the fact that the guests needed to have received their invitations by now. It was a nightmare; on top of that, they were rude, unprofessional, and disorganized. Your invitations are much too important to risk that kind of disaster, and their staff is too unreliable and disrespectful to deserve your business. Afterwards, I found out that a friend of mine had a similar experience with them; if only she had warned me ahead of time, which is what I’m doing for you. Do not use Office Max for your wedding invitations, and discourage your friends from doing so too.
