Officiant Guy

Emailed him twice to see if I can meet him in person. He never emailed me back. Not even to say he's unavailable. I think that's rude customer service and why even be in the wedding industry if you choose not to follow up?

Chris Robinson, the actual Officant Guy, was unavailable to perform our wedding ceremony. He put us in touch with John, who is one of his associates. I was able to correspond with John through email. He was very amenable to us creating our own ceremony. An bonus is that he is a notary and an authorized by L.A. County to issue marriage licenses. The day of the ceremony he was very funny and warm. He really gave our ceremony the personal touch that we wanted.

Seems like a nice guy however wouldn't let us meet him before we put down the deposit. We asked to even meet him for 5 minutes before giving him a check and he said he was too busy to meet his brides and grooms in person.

I tried to set up an initial consultation with Alan Katz. We were e-mailing back and forth and he started taking longer and longer in between responses. Finally, I sent an e-mail suggesting a certain date and never got any response back. Four days later, he sends another response to the initial request I'd sent through their website asking if we'd found anyone and letting us know that he was still available. He clearly couldn't even remember who I was after just four days, even though we'd exchanged close to a dozen e-mails collectively in the week previous. He just seems to unreliable for me to want to take the risk of going with him even if he is on the cheaper side. You get what you pay for. Also he claims that he does unique, custom weddings, yet on their website they actually have scripts of their different ceremonies. I guess by "custom" they mean that they'll insert the bride's and groom's names in there.

This guy is awesome and so esy to work with -- not creepy like the rest of them.

He also gives great referrals and made my friends wedding from New York SO simple.

Responded quickly when I emailed him the date and a couple other questions later;however, as soon as I wanted to meet him in person he simply didn't return my calls or emails...I'm with the other reviewer. I just wanted to meet with him for 5-10 mins. He obviously didn't want to. I find that really strange...
