Oh!Ccasions was recommended to us by Villa Christina and that was the best thing my daughter did for her wedding. Carol and her team were great. She was so professional, friendly, and made the best choices for our daughter's wedding. Carol I will always remember you and how great you were in making this a special day for my daughter. I had a beautiful New Years Eve wedding in Atlanta, GA. The only unfortunate part about my now husband and my special day was the service (or lack of service) that was provided by our wedding coordinator. She started off by being very sweet and pleasant, but it was not the case at all. Her personality appeared to change for the worse when we decided not to use her husband as our photographer (his pictures seemed very amateur and poorly done), and decided not to use her services for our centerpieces and flowers (the pictures she showed us of her work were very disappointing and she even told us herself that one of her clients was not happy with her work!). We paid her $850 for the day of service, but when we asked her what that entailed, it was not much (she indicated she would not help us put up or take down the centerpieces because they were not her's and that we would have to pay her extra!). All she would do was direct people to where they needed to be the day of. My mother finally gave in and paid her an extra $450 to help us put up and take down the centerpieces in addition to decorating the cupcake and buffet tables, and to put out some other decorations around the venue. Needless to say, she did not decorate the cupcake table at all! When I asked her why it was not decorated, she said that she did but the venue's staff took it down before we could see it (she was the Queen of Excuses!). During the reception, she stayed almost the entire time in the bridal suite with her assistant and was no where to be found!). In addition to her poor service the day of the wedding, she also gave us very poor advice. She said that since it was New Years Eve, we should not put out a box for our cards (after she told us to purchase one!) because she did want to risk it being stolen (we were in a nice area of north Atlanta - by Perimeter Mall). We were hesitant to take her advice, but she was so persistent! We finally gave in, and it was complete chaos. We have lost cards because people did not know where to put them, even though she assured us that she would collect all the cards for us. She also said we could do sparklers for our exit, so we purchased them. Right as we were preparing to exit after the reception, she told us we could not do them! She was a complete waste of money and cost us money giving poor advice. It is hard to document all the issue I had with her without writing for a very long time. If you do decide to use her "services," please take this advice...save your e-mails, and anything she tells you verbally, request it in writing!!!

Carol Thurman at Oh!Ccassions was recommended to us by our reception venue, Villa Christina. She's done countless weddings there and not only does she provide coordination services, but she also does flowers as well. We weren't convinced we needed a coordinator when we first started planning, but we decided to meet with Carol to see what she had to say.
All I can say now is, THANK heaves we met with her. She explained all of the typical types of Day of Coordination activities she could handle for us, and they were things I would have never thought of...loading the cars with presents brought to the wedding, bustling my ridiculous train, making sure the DJ was on schedule and letting the photographer know where and when to be somewhere for the right pictures, etc.etc. Had we not gotten Carol to handle all of the Day of Coordination, it would have been my mom who had to handle all of that, which truly could have ruined her evening.
Carol was fantastic and literally had the right solution for any concern my mother and I had. She did so many things behind the scene the day of that I'm sure I'll never know about and I couldn't be more grateful. She has great prices and is worth every penny for the piece of mind she can give you the day of your wedding. I'd highly recommend her.
After we booked Carol for our coordinator, we decided to consider her for our flowers along with the other florists we had already contacted. The other vendors had the exact same process...come look at pictures and tell me what you want. That could have worked for me if I had actually known what I wanted and types of flowers I liked, but I didn't. I am a very visual person, so not being able to see what the arrangement of flowers I'd pick out would look like together was a huge problem for me. With Carol, she not only has pictures, but she takes you directly to her wholesale florst, has you go through the coolers and coolers of flowers to pick out ones that you might like. Then literally holding the flowers together that you picked, you weed out the ones you don't think go together, Carol is able to suggest others to compliment and add, and you're set. Seeing the flowers in person made the world of a difference and since Carol goes to a Wholesale Florist, the prices are significantly lower than everyone else we talked to.
The flowers were great at our wedding and we'd recommend using Carol at Oh!Ccassions to anyone!
Carol was absolutely amazing to work with. We had a budget for our wedding and she created the most amazing centerpieces for us. Carol is blessed with a creative mind. I gave her a general idea of what I wanted, and she was able to deliver exactly that plus more. She had some incredible ideas along the way, which we implemented. She is very professional, easy to work with, and knows weddings.
Carol & John Thurman are amazing!! Carol was our wedding planner and she is amazing at what she does. We had a lot of family issues and she helped make the wedding day so smooth and prevented me from having to deal with any issues. I coudl not have done it without her. Of Carol's other talents, she is also does floral arrangements and wedding decor. She ended up doing our candy station and it was perfect! She is truly talented and great at what she does. I literally would not have made it down the aisle without all of her help!! Her husband John did our videography and also did an amazing job! I love Oh!Ccasions!!
Carol was amazing! She was officially a "day of" planner for us but I prefer the term "week of" planner. She picked up my dress and brought it to the ceremony site. She contacted all of our vendors the week before to confirm everything. She came to the final meeting at the reception site to make sure that she knew exactly what we wanted. She scuffed my shoes, carried my train, fixed the toss bouquet, got me champagne at the reception, saved us appetizers and made sure that the schedule was followed and worked with the event. She is an amazing woman and we would have paid her ten times what she charges just for the peace of mind it gave both me and my mom as well as my wedding party. No one had to worry about anything because she took care of it all.
