Audrey and her staff were great! The venue was set up perfectly and everyone was very professional! The food was great (better than it was at the tastings) and the service was great as well. We had both our ceremony and reception at Old Hickory and both were flawless, I would highly recommend this venue. After looking at many others, we wanted an outdoor ceremony and they had a great rain back up, which we ended up needing! Great value for the cost in the DC area!

Old Hickory is a beautiful location. We could not have been happier having our special day here.Audrey was so helpful. We got married in a church in Alexandria then had our reception at Old Hickory. We made our guests drive 40 minutes between the church and reception because we liked this venue so much! The ballroom is nicely decorated with modern chandeliers and double doors that open to the back porch/golf course. The reason we picked Old Hickory was because of the ability to have both in door and out door space for our guests to move about. We had 130 guests and had plenty of room for our cake table, DJ and dancing. The food seemed a bit overpriced initially but we heard from multiple guests that it was one of the best steaks they ever had. We saved some money by doing a seated meal but without serving salad. It saved us almost $700. This venue also has beautiful places to take pictures. We loved our photos from the porch, barn door down by the cart return area, on the golf course, and by the bridges in the neighborhood. We love all of our pictures! Old Hickory has an outdated sound system which made it hard for us to do our own music. You have to bring in your own speakers and microphone. But other than that it was the perfect venue for us. Way better than any hotel space we checked out in Arlington, Alexandria or Tysons. I would highly recommend Old Hickory!

Audrey was absolutely AWESOME!! She was great to work with - answered all our questions, very responsive and extremely helpful. She provided suggestions on how we could improve our wedding and made our reception flow so smoothly. I don't know how many people commented on how wonderful our reception was, how beautifully decorated the room was and how everything ran so smoothly. There were some issues that came up that day and Audrey took care of them without a hitch. She made our reception that much better and we would highly recommend Old Hickory as a beautiful reception site. Though the food was a little pricey - many of our guests commented on how great it was.

Audrey was a dream to work with. She is very detail-oriented and her and her staff will do anything to make sure the bride and groom are taken care of. Coming from a type-A person, she is ON POINT! Amazing location, looks great in photos, flexible, and willing to do anything to please you. Their filet mignon and crabcakes were a HUGE hit!

Audrey and staff at Old Hickory were great! They take care of all your needs and even offer recommendations (take their advice!) on things you never think about. She even provided us with a tray of appetizers that the bridal party quickly scarfed down when we arrived before being announced into the reception (we had a cocktail hour while the wedding party took pictures). Her thoughtfulness shows her experience in this industry.I had several guests come up to us and tell us how good the food was. Everything ran smoothly and the evening was perfect!The location was beautiful and we had the added bonus of fireworks that evening that was coming from the county complex not far away.

I recently had a wedding back in December at Old Hickory Golf Club and it was more beautiful than I could have imagined. They were very flexible and always tried to accommodate any wishes from the wedding party. I could not be happier with the reception and how kind the staff was! Highly recommend it!

We actually had another site reserved for the wedding and reception. We came here very unhappy with our original choice. It was by far the best thing we could have done. Everything about Old Hickory was exactly what I had hoped for my daughter's wedding. The staff actually listened to what we wanted and did everything in their power to make it come true. The food is some of the best food I have tasted in the area. I have been telling everyone this is the place to get married and have your reception. THIS VENUE IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. If you want an outdoor ceremony this is the place to have your wedding. The scenery was so beautiful and the golf course in the back ground was so elegant and modern. I believe that the ceremony site might have been the most beautiful part of my wedding. honestly. The service was great. The prices for northern VA were very reasonable especially since the venue is so beautiful that you don't have to spend a lot of money decorating. The food was amazing... I usually hate catered food, but the food was excellent. Everyone gave us compliments on the food, the drinks, and how beautiful the venue was. If you have a family with a lot of smokers this venue is perfect because there is a large patio right outside the reception room so they don't have to really leave the party to feed their habit. I have no complaints at all. I also booked Audrey also... check out her review on her vendor page.

Overall the location is very pretty and most things were taken care of. There were a few little snags - I'd ordered pink bows from them to go on the ceremony chairs, but only black bows were ordered so the ceremony looked like a funeral - we had the black bows taken down immediately. Also the napkin fold I had chosen for the reception was not used. They do all the food and drink though and everything was delicious.

Old Hickory was wonderful! I was trilled on the day of the wedding how everything turned out perfect. The food was amazing even the vegetarian meals for some of my guests!! Everyone raved about how everything went so smoothly. Andrey and Michelle were so patient and helpful throughout the entire process.

Old Hickory is an amazing venue at a great price. We chose it being so close to where my parents live/I grew up and loved the whole fresh country club atmosphere. We debated about having them cater vs. an outside caterer and decided it would be easier to have them do it. We went to a tasting that they held and tried some of the foods we were considering (they have a pretty big selection) and had a hard time deciding because they were all delicious. Since Audrey (who is wonderful!) works there part-time it was sometimes difficult contacting her because she would only be there on certain days so we would have to wait until she was back in the office for her to respond. Not that big of an issue, as long as you plan further in advance and don't need a quick response. Come the day of the wedding there was a snafu either through communication or a misunderstanding but the tables were set up wrong. My husband told them and in no time they had the problem corrected and looking great and my guests didn't even know. When dinner came out it was extremely delicious. In fact, we have a buffet and a lot of my guests went back up for more (We had the Caesar Salad, Chicken Florentine, London Broil, Roasted Potatoes, and Veggie Medley) and I heard a few golfers went through the line! Afterwards everyone raved about the food and the decor of the country club and how great the staff was. I would definitely recommend Old Hickory for anyone who needs a venue for a smaller wedding (around 120)

Audrey and the staff made planning this wedding so easy and they were all wonderful to work with. The day turned out much better than we had thought it would! I wish we could do it again. We had our wedding reception at Old Hickory Golf Club. Audrey Paul was very professional and easy to work with. Audrey was great and very helpful. The only thing I was taken back by was the unexpecting request to pay additional cost for helping to set up. I figured with the amount we were paying it was included. Especially since it was communicated that it was. I ended up getting my friends to come in and assist. The venue was wonderful and the staff were very professional. I did not have one complaint the night of our wedding. It was flawless.

We used Old Hickory's banquet services twice. Once for a wedding shower for my daughter-in-law, and once for my parents 50th wedding anniversary party. We were very pleased both times.

Let me begin this review by saying that Audrey and the staff at Old Hickory were absolutely wonderful to work with throughout my wedding planning process. This review does not in any way reflect their services. This review is reflective of the property's management team. I had probably the worst wedding day experience at Old Hickory Golf Club that any bride can think of. My wedding was on June 7, 2008, which turned out to be the hottest weekend of the summer. Upon my arrival at the reception (post-ceremony), I was informed that the air conditioning at the venue was not working. It was over 100 degrees that day. My guests and I had to suffer through a dinner, dancing, etc., in a reception venue that was well over 85 degrees. While Old Hickory did do a couple of things to lessen the "lack of air conditioning" blow, like keep the bar open for 5 hours instead of the 4 hours we paid for, it did not in any way repair the damage in my mind. You just can't describe the horrible, hurt, disappointed, betrayed, and embarrassed feeling you have as you walk through your reception, thanking people for coming, and see that they have to be miserable because sweat is POURING down their faces and clothes. After the wedding, the managers of Old Hickory Golf Club did not at any point try to proactively rectify the situation with me, and were just about non-responsive to my emails seeking a reimbursement for the deposit fee. In the end, after several emails from my end, they did refund half of my deposit. To make matters worse, later in the summer of 2008, I happened to read a review of Old Hickory Golf Club on this web site by a bride whose wedding occurred the weekend before mine (I believe it was around May 31). The bride mentioned in her review that her guests had complained about the air conditioning at her event -- apparently it wasn't working properly during her wedding either. Which leads me to believe that the lack of air conditioning during my event may have been the result of Old Hickory Golf Club failing to maintain their property and that it was not out of their control, as they told me.

If possible, maybe work on the air conditioning. The only complaint from any of my guests was that it was really hot. Other than that, great service, great food and Audrey was fantastic!

I was completely impressed and pleased with the entired staff, and most especially Audrey, at Old Hickory Golf Club. My wedding day was to be the most wonderful days of my life and I knew that I needed to have a wonderful venue to host my reception. Old Hickory completely came through in every way. When I walked into the the ballroom on my wedding day, everything was as Audrey promised it would be - what more could a girl ask for on her special day! It has been almost a year since my wedding and friends and family are still talking about how beautiful the location was, how wonderful the food was, and how nice everything about Old Hickory was. I have and will continue to highly recommend Old Hickory to anyone who wants to have a beautiful party location and to deal with a top notch professional staff.

We wanted this to be the "Cinderella wedding" our daughter had always wanted. Old Hickory provided that atmosphere.The only drawback: Please make certain you let the staff know that they are not to take/touch/throw away any part of your cake/decorations if they say that you can keep everything there overnight to pick up the next day.For the question below - I'm not the bride nor the groom!!! Just the bride's mom!

Audrey and the Staff at Old Hickory Golf Club were simply amazing. I can't think of one negative thing to say about them. The service was exceptional and the food was amazing, the best at any wedding I have ever been to. So much that one of my bridesmaids is having her wedding at Old Hickory next fall. Audrey was so helpful, professional, responsible, etc. The entire staff was great. Not one of my guests was unhappy at any time, they all said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. The only thing i might add is this; a few of the guests got a second plate at the buffet and when they were clearing the tables their food was taken before they were done so I would suggest making sure that the attendants ask before taking anyones plates or making sure that they are obviously done. The entire hall and ceremony site looked so much better than i could have imagined and i didn't lift a finger. Amazing, Amazing job. I will really cherish all the great memories we have from there.

The Old Hickory Golf Course was a perfect place for my daughter's wedding. Audrey Paul, the coordinator, was very responsive to our requests and ran the entire ceremony and reception flawlessly. Not one thing was out of place for the wedding. The vendors she had on her recommended list were also outstanding. I highly recommend having any special occasion at the Old Hickory Golf Course.

The atmosphere of Old Hickory was great! The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was terrific! We had some great pictures taken right there on the golf course! They were very easy to work with and did so much of the work for us! They offered up great suggestions and even a list of vendors we could use for other aspects of the wedding!

If booking a Saturday wedding be aware of the rehearsal times on Friday because weddings can be booked for a Friday evening. Also, be aware that the Clubhouse could book other functions the day of your wedding and rehearsal day. Overall, just logistically be aware that other functions could be booked at the Clubhouse.

The staff here is exellent. We had a wonderful time working with them. Everytime we had a question we would shoot off an e-mail or a voicemail and we would get message/ call back within 2 days at the most. They were always friendly to talk to and very positive. We dropped everything for the reception off with a few directions the night before the wedding and the room looked beautiful when we arrived. They did a great job of setting everything up for us. They even made a sign saying "finally married" to put on the back of the golf cart when we drove around to take pictures. Then when the wedding party was waiting to be introduced they brought us a tray full of the appetizers so we would have something to eat. If I was ever thirsty and without a drink there seemed to magically be a staff member who walked up right then and asked if they could bring me a drink. Then whenever my cup got low they would refill it for me so I wouldn't have to ask. We had a buffet dinner but my husband and I never had to get up because they brought us plates of food as soon as the toasts were over. After the cake cutting, they brought over heated damp towels so we could clean up our sticky hands. All-in-all they did a great job making us feel comfortable and really went above and beyond. They made our day WONDERFUL!!!

Audrey Paul was THE BEST that anyone could ever have. She was never stressed out and I wasn't either. She was always there to answer any questions that I had. My wedding day was PERFECT. 5 Stars!! The setting of Old Hickory is wonderful with many great photo spots. The facility itself is a great place for a wedding all around, as you can clearly see from their website. More importantly the staff is professional, knowledgeable, experienced, and great to work with. Audrey and the staff of Old Hickory were excellent and very accommodating! Audrey was great.. She helped us find nearly every vendor that we used, all of which were great! The whole staff went above and beyond to accommodate us in every way (they even constantly checked weather reports for rain and setup). As many know, wedding planning and the actual event itself can be very stressful and difficult. Audrey and the rest of the Old Hickory Staff helped us plan, coordinate, and keep things on schedule. Many places are pretty much done helping you the day of... not Old Hickory. Audrey, Erin, and staff stayed with us the entire time keeping everything in line and helping us relax and enjoy our day! The services offered are very well priced and they are excellent at working within your budget. The food is amazing!!! The chef, Matt, did an outstanding job! He even made a custom menu just for us. Most places have a very set menu and won’t deviate, or you have to hire an outside caterer. Matt did a great job building a wonderful menu on our budget. Oh, and did I mention that it was EXCELLENT? You can rest assured that Old Hickory will handle your wedding day as if it were their own. When we arrived at Old Hickory we had no idea as to all of the things that we needed to do or how to get them done. Audrey went through the whole event with us and provided us with many needed tips and tricks. She was a great help!! As I mentioned earlier she even helped us find vendors (all of which were of the highest caliber). The entire event went off rather seamlessly due almost entirely to the staff of Old Hickory. I can not say enough good things about them. Audrey, Matt, Erin, and the rest of the Old Hickory are among the best in the industry in my honest opinion!

I helped a friend plan her wedding and she chose Old Hickory for her wedding reception. We definitely felt that Old Hickory was the best looking venue in Prince William County. They offered friendly service, affordable packages, and a lovely setting for portraits on the golf course, in addition to the nicely appointed reception room.

I have been going to Old Hickory Golf Club since they first opened. Audrey Paul and her staff have always been spot-on professional in their dealings with me. The ballroom is beautiful and is always clean, tidy, and offers a very nice view. The layout is excellent. The chef and the food are very good. Hands down, there is no other venue in the area that comes close to what Old Hickory can provide.
