Olga's Bridal and Formal Couture

I cannot thank Olga enough for her work on my wedding dress! She is the best at what she does; the reviews are right on. Extremely skilled, incredibly sweet and one of the hardest working women I've met. I made the unfortunate decision to have the bridal shop where I bought my dress do the initial alterations and they did VERY shoddy work and the bustle was all wrong. I knew I was going to call Olga, but I didn't get my hopes up because it was so last-minute. She agreed to take a look and while I was there, she pointed out even more issues with the dress. I panicked internally and she must have sensed it, because she said she would do her best in the short time that she had to fix the problem areas. She went above and beyond and I am so grateful.

Olga is amazing.
My wedding dress was sewed by my grandmother in 1939. My mother wore it in 1979. I wore it last week. I heard about Olga from a friend, then I looked her up, then I called. I told her the story of my dress (btw I never knew my Grandmother, she died when my mother was 19) and right away she was on board and very excited. The dress was a silk slip with lace all over the top. It had never been cleaned, it was stained, it had rips and holes in the lace, and I wanted it to be strapless.
Olga made all these concerns of mine seem like "no big deal", and said she would handle it. She sure did! She hand washed my lace because she didn't want it to be ruined, she stitched over the stains she couldn't get out, she made it into a beautiful sweetheart neckline with chiffon lining and lace details. Oh, and she had to build a whole underneath part. So she basically made me a new dress but used the lace. Somehow, in all of that, she maintained the integrity and beauty of my grandmothers dress while making it perfectly my own. She was even able to keep the original lines on the back and added buttons to show it off.
To say I was pleased is a horrible understatement. Every one of the woman in my family were in awe of the amazing job she did, and how beautiful it looked. I felt like a million dollars on the day of my wedding, and Im very sure my Grandmother would agree.

I cannot say enough good things about Olga. Working with her was one of the best choices I made about my wedding.She is professional, talented, helpful, and a joy to work with. She did a brilliant job on my dress and it turned out perfectly. Plus, she made me a custom veil that was the exact length and trim that I wanted for only $50. Hooray for Olga!If you are getting married, call her ASAP because she books up months in advance.

What can you say? She's great! I had always heard fantastic things about her, and she still exceded my expectations. Highly recommend!

Olga definitely stepped in as my wedding day superhero!! I can’t thank her enough for taking in my dress at the last minute and created the most beautiful bustle I have ever seen. I continue to get compliments on it’s uniqueness and how perfect it was for the dress which had box pleats in the front and back. I would definitely recommend Olga and only Olga (I worked with several other seamstresses) for wedding dress alterations!

My wedding gown was a Monique Lhuillier sample that I purchased from a bridal outlet in Boston. I hired Olga for the alterations based on the outstanding reviews that I read here. Olga is a wonderful person and a talented seamstress, and I would recommend her with the following caveat. My dress had a corseted bodice that was just a tiny bit too big. Rather than adjust all of the boning, she planned to sew an elastic band onto the inside of the dress, which she said would help smooth things out and adjust for the sizing. This plan did not work, however. It created a big crease under the bust line, which Olga told me I would just have to deal with. In the end, I asked her to remove the elastic, but the bodice was still much too big, and she said there was nothing else she could do. This left me scrambling to find a second seamstress 5 weeks before the wedding, because Olga had wanted to do the alterations at the last minute. In the end, I found someone else to take in the dress and it looked perfect. I would recommend that other brides try to schedule their fittings with more time for adjustments than Olga might want, and perhaps to look elsewhere if your alterations are complicated. She did do a beautiful job on hemming my gown and creating a gorgeous 11 point french bustle for a fantastic price, so my problems should not be a complete deterrent.

My daughter will be getting married on April 10th and Olga did the alterations on her dress...We found a really good deal on the perfect dress for her with one exception...She very much wanted the lace up back. She contacted Olga to have these alterations done. Olga was very professional in the original contact, and even more so when we met with her...I can not say enough about what an amazing job she did. The alterations we ask for are perfect, but she also did little extras that made the dress even more perfect. She made us feel very comfortable and welcome in her home. Olga is the best!!! Don't take your dress anywhere else! I will admit, her house is off the beaten path and made me a little nervous at first, but she is hilarious and knows how to work a dress. My dress was embellished lace, and Olga was able to make all of the adjustments with no problem. The bustle she made for me made it look like I had two different dresses! She is awesome and her prices are extremely reasonable. My one bit of advice- BOOK HER NOW! She gets booked very fast and if you want her to do your dress and have it before the week of the wedding, call her today!

This lady is a hoot! She did great work on my dress, and I have already recommended other brides to her! I received so many compliments on my dress and how well it fit. She is very professional, and does quality work. Here is a few pointers for future brides- 1) She lives in a duplex down a winding dirt road, so chances are, if you think you are lost, you are not! 2) Her accent is very very thick Russian, so it is a little difficult to understand her on the phone. In person is easier, plus she is funny :) 3) She is booked very very far in advance, so schedule with her ASAP!

Olga is the savior of my wedding! She single handedly turned me from a stressed mess into a beautiful bride. Let me explain… The dress store where I bought my dress suggested I buy it based on my chest measurement although that would mean it would have to come in inches around my waist. They said that they had a tailor they worked with and she could do anything! Long story short, their tailor said she could/would take it in a max of 2 inches. But the dress needed to come in about 4-5 inches. It looked like I was wearing a potato sack with a poofy skirt. It was terrible. Frantically, I started calling anyone I could find on google. Then, I called Olga. She said to come over with the dress and she would see what she could do. Although it was going to be a tremendous amount of work (the ENTIRE top of the dress was beadwork), Olga agreed to do it. From the minute I started working with Olga, she helped me calm down. Not only did the dress fit perfectly, but she actually made it better than it was. Originally, the zipper was sewn in like a normal zipper, but she made it so the zipper was invisible and you didn’t even see the seam. She handworked everything so that the beadwork lined up perfectly. You would never know that she had taken inches from the dress. From now on, I will never have a dress altered by anyone but Olga. When I look at my wedding pictures and smile at my dress, I know it is because of Olga!

Olga was incredible!!! Rather than cutting my dress to fit, she inserted an elastic band around my waist area, holding up my dress and allowing me to breath and dance the entire night. Also what she created with my bustle was incredible!!!!! It wasn't a simple pin up bustle but a masterpiece that allowed the flowers on my dress to be displayed, she had a lot of vision with my dress. I know her schedule is extremely busy but she was able to work with me here in North Carolina even though my ceremony was in California.

There is no one better than Olga at dress alterations. She has great prices and does the best work. Book her early because she books up fast! Thank you, Olga for making my dress perfect!

Olga is AMAZING!! From the moment I stepped into her home and we talked, I knew I had come to the right place. Olga took my off-the-rack dress and made it fit like a glove. She is warm, funny, and wonderful.

Olga was amazing! She did an absolutely fabulous job altering my dress. It looked better on me than I ever thought it could! She was very easy to work with - book with her early! She knew exactly what she was doing and can turn things around so quickly! Her prices are great - honestly I would have paid more for her services! She works out of her home and you may not think by driving up it's the right place, but it is! I had a simple J Crew dress and she made it fit me like a glove! It came out beautiful!

Olga is the best seamstress in NC! She is a wonderful person. If you need alterations, book her early. She fills up extremely quick!

Olga is amazing. Where ever you have to drive from to have her do the alterations, it is worth it! She basically custom made my dress, pointing out things that I never even thought about needing altering, and made it fit like a glove. Her prices are also amazing. With her doing more work, more bustle points, and better quality, it was still cheaper than what the bridal store has qouted.

Olga was great and she fit me in a short time frame. Her work was excellent and her fees were low compared to other places. I would go to her again!!!

I love my dress! The people at the shop were very kind and helpful. Best of all they were not pushy and gave me the time I needed to decide on a dress! They never made me feel pressured or rushed. I would recommend them to anyone

Olga is AMAZING!! Her prices are so reasonable and she does such incredible work. She created a custom 9 point bustle for me and made white sashes for our bridesmaid dresses from scratch! She also altered my engagement party dress for super cheap and it came out perfect!

Olga transformed my dress into THE ONE. I felt so beautiful and unique in my dress because it became a custom made dress when she was finished. She is amazing, special, and truly loves her work because her passion shows through the fantastic job she performs. I loved my dress and will continue to go to OLGA for many more years to come!

Olga is a very skilled seamstress and a very warm person. I would highly recommend her services. The only con is that she lives in Cary.

Olga is amazing!!!! She works out of her home and it doesn't look very professional when you drive up, but she did the best tailoring job for the most absolutely reasonable price. She is nice and gave me good tips too (like put your shoes on first, how to get the stains out, how to transport your dress, how to ensure the bustle hooks stay closed). Don't get ripped off at a fancy tailor shop with astronomical prices (Duke's tailor ruined my hem and excessively overcharged to boot!) -- go for Olga!

Olga provided extremely high quality work at very reasonable prices. The bridal shop where I purchased my dress did the most flimsy, horrible looking bustle for my train. I took it to be redone by Olga as well as some other minor fittings. Olga has her own design for a unique bustle and she was able to rework mine within very reasonable timeframes. It looked absolutely amazing and it stayed put the entire evening of my reception. I danced for nearly 3 hours and I did not have to worry about it at all. As one other reviewer mentioned, she does work out of her house and it does not look like the bridal shops that brides are normally used to when you drive up to it. Olga's quality of work (and her rave reviews) speaks for itself though.

Olga's work is fantastic. Her prices are wonderfully reasonable and she's a great lady. She also made a simple veil for me which was much less expensive than any bridal salon. Olga works from her home and from the outside of the building you don't know what to expect, but her work is impeccable. My maid of honor lives out of the country and we found out she needed alterations on her dress when she arrives 4 days before the wedding. Olga was able to take in her dress on short notice.

This woman is amazing! I was in a major time crunch for my alterations, and she had them done in one week. She is a former designer from NY, and had the best ideas for creating a unique bustle. She was so sweet and fun, and made me completely comfortable in my dress. I would highly recommend her!!!!

If I could give Olga a rating higher than 5 I would. This lady is amazing! What she does is truly an art form. I originally had my dress altered by someone in Charlotte but she absolutely RUINED the dress. I had to take my dress to Cary, NC so the famous Olga could save my gown. She did more than save it! She completely fixed my gown and made a gorgeous bustle that was completely and totally amazing. If you don't live near Cary I highly suggest you make the drive because it's completely worth it. If I had went to see Olga from the beginning I could have saved myself A LOT of trouble and worry. Your dress will be better than even you imagined if she does your alterations. Go see her!

AMAZING absolutely AMAZING is all I can say about Olga. She saved my dress a week before my wedding and for that I will always be grateful to her. My dress was altered in Charlotte originally and it was a disaster. Olga altered it for me a week before my wedding and it was GORGEOUS. She performed a miracle for a reasonble price. If you're within a driveable distance to Cary then trust your dress to no one but Olga. She's worth the drive!!!

I wish I could give Olga more than 5 stars. She is a board favorite on the local NC knot board. I had no idea what needed to be done or what my bustle should look like and Olga did an amazing job showing me what she could do. She had to take the dress in, shorten the tie in the back, take in my corset, and add a bustle. She also took in my corset. She is very affordable and her custom wedding and formal dresses are amazing. My bridesmaids were from out of town and she altered both of them in a few hours while we shopped.

Olga did an amazing job on my dress. She also took in my corset for me. Her bustle was great and looked amazing. She is the nicest person and I wish I could rate her higher than a 5. Brides drive from all across the state to go to Olga. She can do custom dresses or just fix what someone else did to mess your dress up. She does custom veils too.

Olga doesn't have a website, but she is well known in the area as being the best in bridal dress alterations. She was able to help me with the details of my new dress that I bought online. The dress fit fine, but it still looked better once it was taken in under the arms and in the back. She also took care of the dresssuit that Phil's mother had bought a Nordstrom, and did an amazing job at fixing the lining. I think that anyone who can appreciate talent and skill can appreaciate how wonderful Olga is at fixing dresses and making them fit perfectly.

I just needed to have the dresses hemmed, because it was a bit longer than I remember it being. One of my co-workers has all her alterations done by Olga, so I brought my dress there. She said that it would be no problem, and then told me that the dress would be ready in two weeks. I really liked Olga because she made sure she knew the date of my wedding, and told me that if I needed it ready right away that she could make it happen. She also told me that I picked a really beautiful dress, which made me happy!

Because I didn't buy my dress at a Bridal Shop, I had to find someone to alter it for me. Olga did a fantastic job! It fit perfectly, and her prices are very reasonable.

Olga did my alterations for my wedding dress (and she also was kind enough to steam my veil at no additional charge). My alterations were extremely extensive and I was very pleased with the result. She was very flexible in her schedule and was very reassuring. She truly made me feel like a beautiful bride!

If I could rate her more than a 5 I would. This woman is an incredible seamstress and just a happy person to be with while being pinned and tucked. She truly loves her job and seeing new brides. Her work is very neat, quick, detailed, and very fairly priced. I have referred numerous brides to her and they have all loved her. One of her favorite things is give each dress it's own special kind of bustle. She can pretty much do anything you ask. I know of quite a few brides who had to see her after their dresses were ruined from a previous seamstress' work. Luckily Olga was always able to save the dresses.

I found out about Olga on one of the wedding boards, and she made my wedding veil. I wasn't exactly sure about what I wanted, but she walked me through all the options and made exactly what I wanted. The veil was a great value, compared to what it would cost in a store. The only cheaper option would have been to make it myself, but I think that would have been a disaster, given my total lack of sewing skills.

I needed to get my dress hemmed, and so did some of my bridesmaids. I picked Olga right away because this is where my sister got her dresses altered. She had a big beaded dress, and my whole family was so impressed with how well Olga was able to turn a size 16 dress into a size 10. Magic! Our dresses were ready in a matter of days, and Olga was so nice and happy for us! It was one of the best expereinces, you have nothing to worry about when you bring your wedding dress here. She doesn't have a website, but she is listed in the yellowpages.

Olga's Bridal is one of the most reveered dressmaker in the triangle area. I have seen her dresses on the brides that have come through our facility and they are just absolutely overwhelming! If you wantto stand out on your day...Olga's Bridal should be your only stop!
