Olga Thomas Photography

We found that when it came to photography, prices and the product provided varied widely from vendor to vendor. Our two must haves were: 1) a photographer to be available 12 hours to capture the entire day and 2) the rights to our own images. We wanted to be able to post our pictures, and print them at our leisure. Olga provided everything we wanted and more. She has an amazing eye and did an amazing job with our wedding photography. She suggested a location for an outdoor shoot between the ceremony and reception that provided a variety of fantastic backdrops. We had a large wedding party and she was able to keep everyone focused-(even the goomsmen!) to fit in shoots at two different parks after the church and still get us to the reception on time! We're looking forward to seeing her again in June- one of the groomsmen hired her!

Olga is absolutely fantastic to work with! I loved her from the beginning! She has extremely competitive pricing, and the photos you get from her are BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Know in advance you will only be getting photo discs, so if you need your photographer to give you prints, don't bother calling her.
I worked with Olga for both engagement photos and wedding photos. She knows what looks best in photos, and she will work with you to make sure you get your moneys worth. I ended up with almost 900 photos from my wedding day!!
Plan on meeting with Olga a few times. She likes to meet with the couple before committing to their wedding. Then she likes to stake out the photo locations so you can be efficient on your wedding day!
Since she is such a pro in the business, she has all sorts of suggestions for other vendors if you need help looking!
I plan on using Olga for all future portraits of my family! LOVE her!

Olga did an amazing job capturing our wedding. She took care of details well above and beyond her role as our photographer, and made my day much less stressful. The photos were incredible!! She made us all look like we had just stepped out of a magazine. Olga was there for all of the important moments and is so charming. Everyone loved her! And one of the greatest things about Olga - you own your photos... she sends them to you on CD, so you're not trapped into only ordering prints (like most photographers). You are free to place them on your own flickr page or on Facebook which allows you to share them easily with all of the people that shared your special day. I will call on her again and again for all of my important events. In fact, we've already booked her for maternity shots. :)

Overall, our pictures turned out good, but I did have some problems.
Before the wedding, Olga did meet with us and look at our venue, which was great. Her prices seemed reasonable. I was a little disappointed on the wedding day, and when we received our pictures.
As for professionalism, she was not dressed professionally, wearing jeans. Even though we had met on several occasions, she kept calling me by the wrong name. I normally don't mind when people call me Shannon instead of Shann, but it was a little embarrassing on my wedding day. Also, she did not have control of the wedding party or other guest when trying to take group pictures. She expected to have a meal and sit with the guests during the reception, which I didn't expect. I was more than willing to feed her, but I didn't expect her to sit with the guests since she was working.
It took longer than promised to get our pictures, which was not a big deal, except that when we did get them, we were unable to view them on our computers. She used disks that weren't compatible with either my or my husband's computers. She re-did the cd's, and we still had the same problem. We finally just went to Walgreens.
The pictures that she took were good, but she missed taking pictures of a lot of the guests. I would have like to see pictures of all my relatives and a lot were missing.

Olga was by far the greatest photographer we could have had. Prior to the wedding she was prompt and attentive and met with us to see the site because of an unusual wedding location. During the day she was attentive but not intrusive. Guests commented how professional she seemed. After the ceremony we quickly received our photographs and they were exquisite works of art. She FAR exceeded our expectations.
