Olive Garden Italian Restauran

This restaurant had never had a wedding ceremony/reception on their premises before. We decided on this venue for 2 reasons: 1. we were planning a wedding in 2 1/2 months, and 2. this Olive Garden is in a beautiful location (NOT a strip mall) and has a small private room upstairs. The room is small - it seats 30 - 40, and we had a total of 29 people, including the bride and groom, so an intimate wedding would be ideal. Because the restaurant had never hosted a wedding before, there was some confusion with the various managers as to what was going on, and it required patience on my end to explain what was happening to various people. This venue is for some one who does not stress easily. However, management can be easy to work with, and we were allowed access to the room the night before to decorate. It did take some time to work this out - again, patience is needed.

The room itself is really gorgeous. Decorated in subtle hues of yellow/beige, with homey plates of white and blue on the walls. Truly, not much in the way of decoration is needed. We had an afternoon wedding/reception, and the room was wonderfully sunny and bright. We were assigned two waitstaff, and it was exactly what we needed. The two gals were prompt and efficient, and we heard no complaints. I had given instructions that each table was to be served with a variety of appetizers immediately following the ceremony (while the wedding party was taking pictures), and those instructions were followed. Guests were allowed to order from an open menu, and the salads and entrees were efficiently delivered.

When it came time to cut and serve the cake, the waitstaff was a little hesitant as they had never had experience cutting a wedding cake (multi-tier). However, they listened to my instructions, jumped in, and did a terrific job!

We were very happy with our choice of venue, the food served, and the promptness, professionalism, and quality of service of our waitstaff at this Olive Garden! They truly played an important role in making our day memorable!
