I went for my trial with Sherry a few months before my wedding. I had an idea of doing a kind of 40s classic Hollywood glam look. I brought Sherry a photo of what I had in mind and she started doing her magic. I could not see what she was doing to my hair at first because I was faced away from the mirror. After she set my hair, she went to work on my makeup. Normally I don't wear alot of makeup so I was unsure of how I would feel in the glammed-up version of me. She finished my hair and makeup in such a short amount of time, I thought there was no way it would be what I wanted, but after she sprayed my hair with hairspray, she turned me around and I saw the finished result. All I could say was, "WHOA!!!!" She got EVERYTHING right. From the luxurious curls in my hair to the gorgeous false lashes she put on...everything was dead on. I booked her immediately. The day of my wedding, she was prompt which relieved me immensely. She was done in about an hour. And the best thing of all? My hair and makeup lasted from 11am until way past midnight. Not a droop to speak of in my curls and the makeup lasted through lots of crying, dancing and kissing. When my husband first saw me, he was speechless. He loved everything which is exactly what I wanted. If you want to look the best you've ever looked in your life, book Sherry!!! And she's as sweet as pie too and really had a calming effect on me on the most nervous day of my life. 5 stars!!!

I chose Sherry after reading all these wonderful reviews and admiring her work on her blog and in her portfolio. Sherry did hair and makeup for me and my Made of Honor for the wedding. She did an amazing job on us both and kept us relaxed and engaged the whole time. While Sherry is based in the OC, she was more than accomodating to drive up to Alhambra the morning of my wedding, 15min before her scheduled arrival time with iced coffees in hand. After two trials, she did a stellar job the day of considering I wasn't exactly certain what I wanted to go with; up or down...She was extremely patient, professional, and accomodating. She did an elegant low bun and makeup to die for. I received compliments all day on how beautiful my makeup and hair looked.

Sherry's calm demeanor helped get me through the stresses of wanting to look my best all made up when I don't really wear much makeup. I put my trust in her skill and it turned out even better than I had hoped. I would highly recommend Sherry.

Sherry and her assistant (whose name I sadly can’t remember) were amazing. My trial with Sherry was okay but after I got home I felt it was too heavy. I emailed her several times to make changes and she was very receptive. On the day-of she was on time, set up quickly, and did an amazing job. I loved my hair and make-up and got so many compliments. She even stayed after she was done to wait for my florist to show up with the flowers for my hair.

Her assistant did all of the Mother’s and bridesmaid’s hair and they all loved what she did.

These two girls are amazing and I highly recommend them!!!

I was having the hardest time deciding on a make up artist. I don't wear any makeup to begin with, but I really wanted to be dolled up for my wedding day without looking like the joker. I hired Sherry because just from her portfolio alone you can tell that she excels in making a better version of you for your wedding day. When I went in for my trial, I was blown away by what she was able to do with my wavy hair. I gave her some incredibly general directions "swept updo, not too tight, try not to make my face too round" and she turned my hair into exactly what I envisioned but just couldn't explain. The day of my wedding everyone kept telling me how beautiful I looked and that was all Sherry. She took her time with me and was very flexible with my requests. In my slight panic, I asked her to change the front section of my bangs and she didn't even bat an eyelash at my request. She made me feel like a princess on my wedding day...truly a better version of myself! I also asked Sherry to do makeup for my mom and my bridesmaids. And all of them looked so beautiful as well. Sherry is simply incredible! I highly, highly recommend Sherry for your big day if you want to look radiant and gorgeous!

I contacted Sherry less than a month before my wedding, panicked because the person I had originally booked had canceled on me (and disappeared with my money) and the person she had referred me to turned out to be already booked at my time. Luckily, Sherry was available even on such short notice.

Because she was doing hair/makeup for both myself and my MOH for an 11:00 a.m. ceremony, she had to arrive at the hotel in Pasadena at 5:30 a.m. She was on time (despite saying that she'd gotten a little lost because of a freeway closure) and very perky for that hour of the morning. She did a gorgeous updo on my MOH and a great job on me as well. Definitely recommended.

Sherry was SO wonderful to work with. I cannot say enough positive things about her! She made me feel so beautiful and was super, super nice. I made a few last minute changes on the day of and she had no problem accommodating me. She even air brushed me free of charge since she had practiced with her new airbrush during the trial. She brought one assistant with her to do the bridesmaids and my mother in law. The bridesmaids were pleased with the assistant's work but not my mother in law. Her assistant fixed it and it ended up being fine.You can't go wrong with Sherry....highly recommended!

What else could I say about Sherry that hasn't already been said?

I was nervous about finding a hair and makeup artist because, as an African-American female, there aren't many pictures of people with my complexion in people's portfolios and I had no idea if they knew how to handle African-American hair. I had my hair and makeup trial with Sherry about a week before our wedding. I went in with an idea of how I wanted my hair and makeup. While I liked my makeup, I didn't like the style I picked with my face. On the morning of the wedding, I planned to talk to Sherry about changing the style. It was a pleasant surprise for her to bring it up -- and know exactly what I wanted to change before I said anything. It was like she read my mind! My makeup was amazing and gorgeous. I felt beautiful all day. My hair was perfect and stayed put all night.

Sherry's assistant that day was Marilyn and she was outstanding. She did the hair and makeup of my maid of honor and my flower girl. My MOH looked beautiful. My flower girl's hair normally never holds a curl, but her curls stayed in tact until the next day. Sherry and Marilyn were both so sweet and fun and got us all ready in time. They were wonderful and I highly recommend them.

Sherry was originally to do my hair and makeup, but she ended up pregnant and due on or around my wedding date. Eh, it happens. All I could be is happy for her. Her assistants stepped in to save the day!

Kali was great at the hair trial, but I didn't LOVE my hair. I finally decided what to do with my hair a few days before the wedding, and kind of sprung it on her when she got there, and it didn't faze her a bit. She went right to it and it turned out beautiful. It held up well till almost the end of the night. My super-straight super-fine hair will always persevere over the most heavy-duty product; I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did! She also did the hair for my bridesmaids and mom, and they all loved it. I didn't pick out a hairstyle for them, I let them pick what they wanted, so she had a LOT of variety to deal with. She dealt with all of our personalities well, and we all had great hair.

Tessa was the go-to makeup person. And she did all of us, and she rocked it. I loved my makeup. I wanted something natural, but made up. I know... how specific, right? And yet, she figured out what I wanted and I looked fab! I wish my MOH wouldn't have chosen such whorey makeup, but hey, that's on her, not me.

Best of all, we were all done and ready to go well within the time parameters.

I couldn't begin to say what an amazing artist & person Sherry is! I got married in November, and although I didn't know exactly what I wanted with hair & makeup, Sherry's creativity & style created the perfect look for me! In our trial we played with a couple different styles for my hair, but on my wedding day she had a new idea that we decided to try. It was the most elegent sophisticated hairstyle I've ever had. She showed up ON TIME, and got straight to work making me look beautiful. I was really worried because due to stress I had a horrible breakout, but by the time Sherry finished, my skin looked amazing. She alleviated so much of the stress we tend to have on such a big day! By making me look gorgeous it made me FEEL gorgeous! Her sweet personality was so calming and by the time she left I was ready to take on the world! If you want a makeup artist that will accent your natural beauty, listen to your opinion, work with your ideas in an understanding manner & make you feel like a princess, Sherry is the BEST! I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Sherry is amazing! I had the opportunity to work with her twice this summer, once as a bridesmaid in a wedding and again for my own wedding. On both occasions I was blown away by her talent. When she is does your hair and or makeup you dont even realize anything much is going on until you look in the mirror and suddenly a much more gorgeous you!

Specifically,I thought she was outstanding at my own wedding where she did my hair and makeup the day of the wedding and many of my bridesmaid make up as well-everyone looked stunning! I provided her a picture of what I wanted for my hair and I must say it was EXACTLY how I wanted it. For my makeup I requested a natural look with emphasis on the eyes and it came out beautifully. I loved Sherry's work because even with my hair and makeup done I still felt like myself on my wedding day-just a more made-up version! I would hire her and her On Location Beauty staff again in a second-they are professional, prompt, talented, organized, and some of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Thank-you Sherry for making my day so relaxed and beautiful! :)

Sherry did makeup/hair for my recent wedding and I have had so many compliments about how great I looked that I'm starting to feel like I must have been such a dog before (and probably after)...naw, just kidding about that. But I don't joke about her skill at both makeup and hair. She was worth every penny. As an Asian, I did briefly wonder if only another Asian would "get" how to do me, but that is very small minded thinking and of course completely wrong. The makeup stayed on all night. I was "made-up" but still looked like me, only better. The hair held up (it wasn't entirely up, though, just half up). And best of all, it looked good in photos, even the non-pro ones. I am seriously considering going back to her for a lesson, only I don't want to spend 2 hours each day to look so good -- maybe for a quick, more realistic version. Me, but only better. It's a shame I probably won't ever do something like this again.

Sherry and her staff were absolutly great! My hair & make-up lasted all day. My bridesmaids looked great. I highly recommend Sherry and can't praise her enough.

When looking for a makeup & hair professional, I was most concerned with finding someone who could understand me as the "Bride". I was looking not only for skill or experience, but for that sincere empathy that only Sherry could provide.

A million words could not describe the sense of ease I felt while Sherry did her magic on me,first at the trial then at my wedding. As she worked we chatted and laughed and celebrated the joy of being a bride. Then, when she was finished with me, I was stunned-I have never felt more beautiful in my life!

As I walked down the aisle I smiled as big as I could because I felt so good about myself and how I looked. And throughout the ceremony & reception many guests complimented my hair & makeup, especially the Groom!!!

I look at my wedding pictures almost every day, and I can't help but recall Sherry's wonderful personality and talent. I am confident that Sherry will continue creating many picture-perfect brides!

Sherry and her team was amazing! They made us all look beautiful - which was no easy feat considering I was completely broken out from the stress of the wedding and went so far as to get cortisone shots the day before. My skin looked near-flawless and my hair looked great. My curls were natural looking and not crispy looking at all! She was so calm and sweet and put me at complete ease.

My hair did end up falling a little flat after our pictures because of the humidity that day, as well as some strong gusts of wind attacking us all in the face during our pre-ceremony pictures but even still I was impressed with how well my hair held up. I just wish I had carried a curling iron with me that day for touch ups!

My make up however looked great all day. I usually have to powder my combination skin at least 5 times in a work day and my make-up looked good from 10am until 11pm - even through dancing! I was completely impressed. I highly recommend her!!

Sherry is fantastic. She did a great make up job on my bridesmaids and me. My only regret is that I did not book her for hair. But she was kind enough to fix my bangs (styled by another vendor) and attach my veil (that the other vendor forgot to attach).

Sherry has magical hands!!!! All my bridesmaids and I were stunned at the work she produced after she was finished with all our hair and for me makeup. I was nervous after the makeup trial, but I felt silly for being so stressed after I saw my hair and makeup together!! She is the SWEESTEST person!!

Sherry is amazing. Honestly, I never felt more beautiful and the photos prove that she made me look like me, only more glamorous. My hair and make-up stayed put all night (well, except my lipstick but that's to be expected.)

Sherry brought along two assistants, Mandi and Brigette, and we were really happy with Mandi's make-up work. She did an exceptional job on my MIL!

I owe ON Location Beauty big time! After my hair/make up artist cancelled on me six days before the wedding, I turned to Project Wedding to help me out. My wedding was June 21 - apparently the busiest day of the year. Sherry was more than helpful and calming and hooked me up with Marilyn.

Marilyn showed up early on my wedding day and was a pleasure to work with! She was very skilled, worked fast, and made my make up feel so light!

Sherry and her team is amazing. I just got married on Sun, 10/19/08. Not only was there great follow-up to the event but her assistants and herself were on time and did an amazing job on myself and my 4 bridesmaids.
We did my preview about a two months before the wedding and let me tell you... I looked even better on the wedding date then the preview. I was amazed.

Sherry McAnelly is a phenomenal talent! I met with Sherry for the preview and instantly liked her caring personality. She was very patient and open to suggestions and we tried two different hair styles that both looked great! The make-up was so flawless that I was so thrilled.

On my wedding day, Sherry and her assistant Lindsay arrived on time and my bridal party and mom were so ecstatic with the results of their hair and make-up. They commented on how it lasted all day with no touch-ups and felt and looked so natural. They also mentioned how sweet and easy they were to work with. That is the great bonus you get with them; not only are they amazing at what they do, they are also extremely organized and have a way of putting you at ease on your big day.

My biggest compliment from guests on the wedding day was how great my make-up and hair were. I was so impressed that I contacted Sherry shortly after the wedding for a make-up lesson. She patiently looked through my make-up and brushes and then showed me how to create amazing looks for day and evening. She also typed out a list of suggested items to purchase at several retailers which has been invaluable! She even threw in some hair tips for me.

Sherry and her assistant Lindsay made us all feel like queens for a day and I HIGHLY recommend them. Sherry has the rare skill of bringing out the natural beauty in you.

Sherry has now done my hair and makeup for two of the most important days of my life. She did my hair and make up for my wedding day and I could not have felt more beautiful! She honestly took every element that I told her I loved and created an even more beautiful style of my own. Along with her team she also did the hair and makeup for my 9 brides maids and 2 flower girls. Every single girl looked gorgous. She was amazing and I would recommend her to absolutely anyone!

Sherry also recently did my hair and makeup for my pregnancy photos. This was a time when I was not sure that I wanted to take photos, but after she finished my hair and makeup I felt beautiful and my photos came our wonderfully!
