One Fine Day Event Planning

I was the maid of honor at my friend's wedding and was by her side throughout the entire planning process. She hired One Fine Day about 9 months before her wedding (after a few meltdowns and realizing that she just didn't have the time, nor the skills for wedding planning). One Fine Day was brilliant - Stephanie, the owner, helped her with all the nitty gritty. She met with her every time she came into town and was nothing but incredibly patient and knowledgeable. In addition, she worked with the band and figured out all of the "extras" they needed - their contract was ridiculous - there were lots of additional items they required throughout the night of the wedding.
Not only did One Fine Day help my friend prior to the wedding, but the entire team (owner plus a few assistants) coordinated a flawless wedding. Nothing was too much to ask - the arch fell over a few minutes before the service - her staff had it up before the guests even noticed it had blown over; the kitchen was running late, so One Fine Day created a diversion so that guests didn't notice the extra half hour of the cocktail reception; the band lost the first dance song, so Stephanie gave them her extra copy. I can't praise this company enough! They are simply wonderful!

Though I was confident I could do most of the “planning” myself, I thought it wise to hire someone for the day of the even. I was on limited budget, and initially concerned about spending money on a planner. I can now say that this was the most important thing we did and worth infinitely more than we paid! Stephanie, from One Fine Day, was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process in finding vendors, reviewing contracts, and providing guidance to help us plan for the kind of wedding we wanted on a budget. Stephanie was a pleasure to work with and I know we will long be in touch. She is definitely an expert with both the experience and ingenuity necessary to help create an amazing wedding for any bride (and groom)-to-be. I now laugh at myself for ever considering to undertake this by myself!

For almost a year Stephanie worked diligently on making our wedding dreams come true! She had wonderful ideas, understood our needs and vision beautifully, and was patience and sweet as I pestered her and pestered her about some of my concerns :). In the end she pulled off organizing a beyond amazing four day affair with a river rafting excursion, a all guess invited welcome dinner, our wedding, and a post brunch. Every single touch was attended too and she kept me confident and calm throughout the weekend. All our guests commented that this was the best wedding they had been too and were so sincere I actually believed them and I know it was all due to Stephanie. From babysitters at our wedding to beach games and a margarita bar she covered it all!

I know we will stay in touch with her and if we do have a large baby shower we will definitely ask her to organize it for us :)!

I don't think I have enough room here to be completely thorough on how wonderful Stephanie is at her job. Now that I think of it I remember hiring her based on the reviews from this website. Everything that you read is here true and accurate. Stephanie goes above and beyond to make your day special. She's a busy lady but, when the time comes all attention is on you and making everything go smoothly.

My (now) husband and I also tested her skills regularly. Between having to move the wedding date, venue, and crazy weather, Stephanie stepped up and made things happen for us. Wow! And to think I was tempted to run this wedding mostly on my own. What an insane thought that was.

Bottom line: Stephanie, One Fine Day Planning, works for you and is on YOUR side when it comes to working with vendors. You don't know how important that is until you find yourself in a position to make decisions on things you know nothing about.

It goes without saying for me but, if any of my friends or family have major events to plan I would lie down in the middle of a busy street until they hired her. Yeah, she's that good.

Stephanie from One Fine Day events was my savior. I originally hired Stephanie as a day of coordinator but she was so much more. While at first I was concerned over the cost of a wedding planner, I have to say that it was one of the most valuable things we spent money on. Not only did she help ease the stress level but I actually was able to enjoy myself the entire day without worry! I did my research and met with several planners/ day of coordinators and Stephanie's packages were very reasonable priced and she was so personable, I could tell that she we would get along great during the last few weeks when the stress level is high. I had all these wedding ideas and details in my head and Stephanie really helped them come to life. Stephanie guided my ambition into a realistic plan and offered valuable advice based off her past experience. She was responsive to all my random questions, had great vender recommendations, and helped work out intricate details with even our most difficult vendors. She was able to negotiate discounts and even got our band to cut US a check! Stephanie always had a smile on her face e and always seemed happy to help where ever she could.The day of the wedding, she checked in on me and the groom throughout the day, even meeting us at one of our spots we were taking pictures. When we finally got to the ceremony site, everything was calm and the decorations had turned out better than I ever could have imagined. I was blown away by how seamless she made it all seem. I was very lucky to have her expertise throughout the final planning stages and to make sure that details I missed didn't turn into disasters. I would recommend any one planning a wedding who wants to enjoy their wedding day without worrying about details to hire Stephanie!

At first we didn't think we needed a wedding planner, but at my mother-in-laws urging,we decided to hire Stephanie and I couldn't be more grateful that we did. Throughout the planning process Stephanie was very supportive of our vision and had a number of helpful suggestions. Most importantly was her on-site coordination for the rehearsal dinner and wedding day festivities. Honestly, I don't even know all of the millions of details she helped take care of. I didn't have to. My husband and I were free to enjoy ourselves, which was such a wonderful gift. Our wedding took place outdoors on the north shore of Lake Tahoe and two hours before the ceremony was scheduled to begin, the wind kicked up and it began raining. I was just starting to panic when Stephanie came in with an hour by hour weather report and a back-up plan. She had already ordered a fourth wall for the reception tent, replaced the ice that was ruined by the wind blowing sand into it, and helped the caterers protect the food. All I had to do was sit back and relax with my bridesmaids. Of course the sun came out in time for our ceremony and everything was perfect, but I don't know what we would have done without Stephanie. She worked from behind the scenes to make the whole event flow seamlessly. I hardly knew she was there, and yet I don't know how we would have managed if she wasn't. I would highly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding. You may not think you need her, but you do!

Kathy and I are writing to you to thank you so much for everything that you did for us at Sean and Kelley’s wedding. In every aspect of your job you went above and beyond the call of duty, and always in a professional, very friendly manner. You were the ultimate problem solver. For the Friday night celebration that Kathy and I planned to host at Commons Beach in Tahoe City, you saved the day for us with the provision of a wonderful reception space at the very last minute, as the thunder storms had made it impossible for us to have the planned outside event. In about an hour you configured the space for a great reception. You couldn’t have been more kind, accommodating, and considerate. And, in the next day or so, you spoke with the city about our reservation and they agreed to refund the total amount. What a totally unexpected surprise! You were the consummate professional with a very personal demeanor, and you were never flustered.

I hope you understand how much you helped to make Sean and Kelley’s wedding the very special event that we all hoped it would be. Kathy and I thank you ever so much.
