Opalia Flowers

I worked with Phoebe at Opalia flowers and she was amazing. My flowers were beautiful! I met with 5 florists but she was the only one that was able to translate my vision into reality. I loved my wedding flowers and everyone was impressed!

I found Opalia Flowers through a work associate of my husband's and we decided to go to brooklyn and check out Phoebe - the owner and florist. Since we were getting married at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, I knew I wanted to work with a local vendor with better prices than Manhattan. My first impression of her shop, Opalia Flowers, was so special. I feel in love with her shop and after meeting Phoebe to discuss the premliminary sketch and budget, we both feel in love with her. Phoebe was wonderful to work with. She worked with our budget, style ideas, and flower selection. She was very knowledgable about each flower and kept cost down for us by telling us which flowers were in/out of season. She was very flexible when it came to changing ideas around and was so nice the entire process. She was very professional and always put a thoughtful itemized bill together with details, so I knew exactly what to expect with price. The day of flowers were amazing. I keep getting praises about how beautiful the centerpieces were and all the other flower arrangements. She was prompt and set up huppa and flowers exactly how I envisioned. It was a completely stress free process and she did such a wonderful job.

Barbara at Opalia was so wonderful and made our floral vision come to life! Her enthusiasm and professionalism was so appreciated and we loved working with her. Also, Opalia is the best place for flowers and arrangements we've come across in Brooklyn. Love that place!

We had such a wonderful experience with Phoebe. We were rather at a loss for what we wanted in terms of flowers for our intimate wedding other than wanting green and purple, but Phoebe knew exactly what to do and delivered with gorgeous bouquets, centerpieces and an altarpiece. Everyone was commenting on the flowers and how perfect they looked and we couldn't have agreed more.

This was such a no-brainer; I was going to do my flowers myself and then realized that it was really just too much work to be taking on the day of my wedding. I wanted simple arrangements in vintage bottles and unique (but also simple) boutonnieres and bouquets. I had a consultation with the owner at Opalia and she was so helpful. I told her my budget and she was very clear and helpful in steering me towards arrangements that captured my wedding's style. I never felt pressured or "upselled". Our arrangements and bouquets looked great and were exactly what I wanted.

Finally, if you need inspiration, pay a visit to this store; it's gorgeous and relaxing. You will see things that give you ideas. You will treat yourself to a few flowers for the hell of it.

Opalia was a pleasure to work with -- the flowers (bouquets, centerpieces, aisle, etc.) were all beautiful and outstanding. All centerpieces were arranged as discussed. I was a very happy bride!

Opalia provided wonderful arrangements for our wedding; they even threw in an extra boutonniere for the men in case one broke. We did save money by providing mason jars for the table arrangements instead of using their vases; that was helpful; however, we didn't think the cost of a young girl's corsage should've been the same as the cost of the corsages for the bride's and groom's parents. Overall, though, we were very pleased with their service.

I was in love with the flowers on the wedding day. It took a long time for me to find a florist. I wanted someone who would provide some what I wanted without me having to micro manage everything. The flowers were sooo beautiful and fit the ideas which I had in my head, which I was not always able to fully articulate. Everything was so beautiful and unique.

Phoebe was really easy to work with. The communication was good, but there were some things that turned out different from how I expected them to be. I loved the flowers, they were beautiful but, some of the women in my bridal party were supposed to wear corsages on their wrists, but when I saw them they looked like the boutonnieres the men were wearing. The escort table arrangement was magnificent, I loved it, I just wish that at the end of the night I remembered to take them home with me. The table arrangements were pretty, but I thought that they would be fuller than they were. I was still happy with what we had, I won't discredit the beauty of everything. I was just expecting more for our money since I opted to spend more than I originally intended.

Junko helped me and was very patient looking at ideas in the store and online. I just went with roses and a bit of greenery and a matching boutonniere. My fiancé picked them up and somehow the boutonniere blew away while he was walking home. He returned to Opalia and they made a new one at no charge (it was a cream rose instead of a matching one to my bouquet, but that’s fine, it looked really nice). My bouquet was really pretty.

We would highly recommend any bride to use Phoebe at Opalia Flowers. She has a great capacity to listen to what you want and deliver your floral vision. She worked with our budget and really gave us great value for beauty. During our wedding, many people who had attended events at our venue before asked me who did our flowers because they stood out. I would definitely encourage using Phoebe for your event!

Phoebe was UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING!
She stayed within our (very small) budget and gave us the most beautiful flowers imaginable.
We wanted to keep things very simple but gorgeous and elegant. All white. Peonies and freesias and Phoebe was just phenomenal. She worked with (and stayed within!) our budget and did so beautifully. We were SO HAPPY with her!!!
Her style and taste is impeccable and she is so wonderful to work with too!
