I contacted Jennica to do on-site hair and make-up for the recent wedding in St. Charles, IL. It was wonderful to work with her. Her and her girls were willing to travel nearly an hour to do hair and makeup for a party of 10 people. The were prompt and ready to go before the 9am start time and had every last one of us looking beautiful and flawless before the needed time (1pm). Everyone looked absolutely beautiful during the day/night. We have since seen pictures and everyone looks fantastic in pictures. The girls that came (Jennica, Mary, Emily) were extremely attentive and listened to each girl to what she did or did not want and you felt like Jennica, Mary, and Emily wanted everyone to look and feel their best. While the hair and makeup services were a cost (anywhere you go will be), it was extremely relaxing to be in the comfort of a hotel room and not in a salon. I would gladly recommend Opulent Brides to anyone. Thanks Jennica!!

Jennica went above and beyond! She truly saved my hair! I had gotten an awful dye job four days before my wedding and guess who I called? Jennica. My hair was neon yellow! Jennica let me stop by her house at 8:00 at night so she could see the damage. The very next day I was back at her house and she completly fixed my hair! My hair looked amazing! She is awesome at what she does! I will never forget how much she helped out! I even begged her to come to the reception! Jennica was a great help with all my bridal party needs! Jennica and her staff were wonderful! Jennica was very prompt in returning all of my emails and was clear and concise in her responses.
The women arrived in a timely manner on wedding day and assisted all of my ladies get just the look they wanted. They even pleased my picky sister-in-law, who changed her mind about her hair three times. My mom and I were rolling our eyes, but the stylists remained professional.
I looked beautiful and like myself, which is what I wanted.
My only issue was that Jennica forgot some of her books in the room and texted me, during my wedding weekend, to try to get them back, rather than calling the hotel, but that was a truly minor issue compared with the fabulous service, for an amazing price, that we received.

I was very pleased with Opulent Bride's service for my wedding. We did the package for 8 people, and we were all able to get ready in a fast amount of time. However, I did add on an extra hair person since we had such a large group. They were very good about doing hairstyles that my bridesmaids and myself had pictures of, and did a great job of natural, yet beautiful make up. It was extremely nice to do a trial before hand and I would definitely recommend it for all brides! I also asked to meet ahead of time just to go over the contract and talk things over. They were happy to do this and it made me feel more comfortable meeting with them before I sent the contract/money in. I would suggest this as well. Having them come to us the morning of the wedding helped to ease a ton of stress from the day. When we got done we could head right to the room to get ready or have a drink/snack. I also had them come to the reception spot later in the day to freshen me up since we had a July wedding with outdoor pictures between the ceremony and reception. This was SO nice! They were really good about taking time to come back and freshen hair/make up. I felt a million times better afterwards. Overall, I was very pleased with the service provided. Especially during peak wedding season, they seem to be very busy. If they do not respond right away, try again either by phone or email. I would recommend them to brides who want friendly, low key, low stress hair and make up providers for their special day.

It was really hard to get ahold of the business at times because it is a small business. This made me very worried leading up to the wedding, so that is the only place I really took points off on. When my wedding day got there, they were on time, the make-up looked awesome and it lasted through an 8 hour outside wedding. Pictures look great, and I would recommend the business to anyone.

I had a TERRIBLE experience with Jennica for my June wedding. I will admit that at first she responded quickly and really helped me out of a bind because my previously booked hair and makeup company was NOT returning any of my calls and I was afraid I was not going to have anybody to do hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and I. Every brides worst nightmare, that a vendor doesn't come through! She was a little far away from me and it was only a few weeks from my wedding so she assured me that not doing a trial was no big deal especially because I wanted a simple design (I had my heart set on a simple french twist) Two days before my wedding I received a text message that said "your location is two hours away, the travel fee is $100" I responded that it was no problem because I knew I would have to pay through the nose because she had to travel so far, totally fair. Then, a few hours later I received another panicked message from her saying that she looked it up and it was going to take her 4 hours to come to my location which was totally insane and ended up not being true, the two hour quote was correct. THEN she said that she "accidentally gave me the wrong contract" and the makeup price was actually $15 more per person than quoted. Afraid that she would cancel on me I assured her it was only two hours away and that that price was fine for the makeup. So I would be out $60, no big deal so long as it gets done right? Well after that she sent me another message saying that she didn't realize it was 2 hours away and she should be charging me MUCH more for the travel fee. Her previous message clearly stated that I was two hours away but I chose not to say anything for fear of creating bad blood. She grudgingly accepted that she would ONLY be getting $100 to drive two hours. Please, it's a traveling hair and makeup company...that's what they do! She did arrive on time in the morning and I was all set to put the strangeness of her behind me although I was disappointed to find out that I was paying so much for Mary Kay makeup products...most other on site people I contacted use higher quality...things you would buy at Sephora. Of course, I didn't say a word and we did have a pleasant time with them while they did our hair and makeup. All of the girls who had their hair done chose VERY simple styles, including one that was so simple that it had DIY directions in a Martha Stewart magazine, my sisters had a simple braid and some pinning done. We were happy with the work and it was done very quickly (less than two hours...a testament to the simplicity of services rendered) When I later looked at the bill I realized that Jennica chose to charge us the MAXIMUM amount for each of the hairstyles on top of the extra charge for makeup that I agreed to...grudgingly and out of fear! The contract does clearly state that there is a range of prices charged for hairstyles and they are determined by length, thickness and intricacy of design. Now, all my girls had above shoulder length, relatively thin hair. In fact, my sisters hair is particularly thin because she lost some because of recent illness. I have already attested to the simplicity of the designs and I felt that charging the maximum price was very unfair. I very diplomatically emailed Jennica my feelings about the topic and she responded with total indifference and when I persisted threatened me with her "lawyer" and promised to take me to court over the issue! Not only does the contract give the client no recourse for dissatisfaction or dispute (you become responsible for all court related costs) Jennica also does not seem to feel guilty at all about exploiting a bride who is in a tough position! The disputed amount was just over $100 and it wasn't about the money for me (please, we just dropped 20k on this wedding!) it was the principle of the thing. I felt completely taken advantage of and Jennica was not responsive to that at all. She threatened me numerous times and warned me that if taken to court it was going to "cost me a lot more than $100". We both knew she had me over a barrel and so I did pay her the full amount. It was the only negative experience I had with ANY of my vendors for the wedding and it really has cast a shadow over the otherwise fun time I had with my girls getting ready and that really stinks. I will not say that Jennica does a bad job and I feel I have rated her fairly on quality of service and responsiveness but she definitely doesn't even deserve the half a star I gave her on everything else. So brides go with Jennica if you must but be wary of her because she will take advantage of you given the opportunity. Get a trial, ask exactly how much for everything and don't let her change the contract on you at the last minute!! She is totally despicable. Take my advice and go with somebody else so you don't have the same nightmare as me!

Jennica chose to dispute this review and I submitted verification of all of my claims. Upon my submission Jennica also texted me profane threats and called me a bridezilla. Anyone can see that the drive between Channahoon, IL and Lake Geneva, WI is only 2 hours. She's even lying in her response. beware!

They were amazing!! I had my original beauty person back out because of the distance to get to the small town where I was getting married, but they jumped in and even spent the night in the town so that they could get us ready for my wedding. Also they were wonderful with the 3 small flower girl I had and even got their hairs up in curly updos! I would recommend them 110% to anyone looking for a beauty stylist for their wedding. Thanks for everything!!!!

Jen was so helpful when it came to planning! She worked everything out as far as working at two different houses and making sure we were all on time. She worked with us individually on what our style was, also with bringing style books to! The whole party really enjoyed her work and I would recommend her to do anyone's hair from weddings to a night on the town! Great job!

My hair and my make up turned out great the day of my wedding. She met with me before the wedding a couple of times to discuss what I wanted done with my hair and makeup for the wedding and then we did a dry run before the big day. I would extremely recommend to anyone.

They made my wedding day really great by getting all my bridesmaids and me ready for the big day at my house. They even provided a great makeup service for all of us at a great price. I have had many people do my hair, but she is BY FAR the best! She is very creative, but classy at the same time. She is very well-rounded as a hair stylist. Her up-dos are amazing, as well as her cut and colors. I won't let anyone else touch my hair but her. Her approach to weddings are very professional, yet she still makes it fun.

My wedding was in October and Jennica did hair and make-up for my bridal party. Everything turned out great. All the girls looked wonderful. There were 3 girls she did and she had very good timing for such an early wedding. I would recomend her.

I did a trial with her prior to the wedding and she kept working with me until it was perfect! On the day of the event she listened to what all my girls said and made them beautiful-- even better than they thought they would look. I loved my hair! best yet, they were done early- which made our wedding day basically stress free!!

I found Jennica kinda last minute on Craigslist. I'm very picky about my hair and wasn't sure what I should expect for my wedding. I was blown away with how happy I was with my hair and my make up. All of my bridesmaids hair also looked beautiful. The prices were very budget friendly and Jennica was very personable and flexible in how she worked with me. If I lived in the area, I'd be going to Jennica for all my hair style needs.

Jennica did my hair for my 20th wedding anniversary. We had a Hawaiin Luau theme. She incorporated my Original Headpiece and even added some hawaiin flowers to it and made it look more modern which was great that i could use my 1987 headpiece in a 2000 now-a-days look. It was very special to me that she was able to incorporate this. My hair was beautiful and lasted through the outdoor ceremony and 80 degree heat.
