Reviews for Organic Bouquet

Alert to people who really care about flowers and how they are grown. The flowers from Organic Bouquet are not organic. Do your homework, look over the web site, call and ask questions about each flower they sell. I did this and found that the flowers were not certified organic and I had much better luck and selection going with a local florist who could help me choose truly eco-friendly flowers for my wedding.

I love the idea of organic and the donations to causes, but the cost was much higher than other organic distributors and there was so much packaging!

i ordered their assorted red roses, about 200 for $200 (includes o/n delivery). they got delivered friday morning and were gorgeous! we're talking loooong stemmed roses with very full heads (3" at half opened!). i've never seen more beautiful roses.
good things:
-upon purchase, organic bouquet made a donation to the red cross
-i worked with melissa, who helped me out with their pricing and ordering. she even offered to help put a box together if i wanted to mix it up since it was for my wedding. how nice is that??!!
-the roses arrived carefully packed in a large cardboard box and wrapped in soft paperboard type thing. no plastic or styro. so cool!
-i was worried about getting roses allll the way from ecuador... but apparently organicbouquet has a zero carbon program in place to offset the carbon cost.

I worked with Gary on my flower order.
I ordered ranunculas in January for my wedding in late May. I specifically asked if they were from California and he assured me they were (I needed flowers to be local AND organic). When I called to set up payment with him in early may he told me that he could not accommodate my order because I am not a florist (I never pretended to be one - and in my initial email I said that it was for "my wedding")and because the flowers wouldn't look good being shipped from the East Coast (which would have meant that he lied about them being from California).
The one star is credit for him being nice, but it sucks 20 days before your wedding to have to figure out where you are going to be getting local organic flowers.
