Thank you Mary and staff for helping us have the wedding of our dreams! The museum is so beautiful-the perfect setting for a unique reception. Our guests enjoyed being able to see the gorgeous art while mixing and mingling during the cocktail hour. The Chiluly piece is stunning and fascinated everyone. The Rotunda was perfect for the reception-it felt very upscale and was not your typical ballroom. There are a couple of restrictions (no red wine), but they shouldn't be a concern. Everyone was very helpful and worked well with our other vendors. If you want a unique venue with a great staff, OMA is the place to go!!

We truly loved having our reception at the OMA. Both my husband and I have creative backgrounds, so it couldn't have been more perfect for us. Our guests loved being able to check out the gallery during our cocktail hour. Mary the facility rental coordinator was super nice to work with, quick to respond, and was very flexible with taking credit card payments over the phone for convenience. I wanted to give 5 stars for everything, the only reason I didn't on flexibility was just for a couple of things that we didn't know till later in our planning, that we could not change: The facility does not allow red wine, which was a bit of a bummer but not the end of the world. Also, we didn't find out till the day of that they do not allow you to use sparklers outside for the farewell, so we wasted our money on all the sparklers that we bought. But really, other than that- we are so happy that we could have our reception at the OMA. SUCH A GREAT VENUE!!

The venue was absolutely beautiful. Having the gallery for the ceremony was wonderful Allyssia, who was our contact person, was responsive to everything that we needed. The venue seemed a bit pricey, but to me it was worth it. You will have to pay to get chair covers or rent chairs as the chairs there are not that nice. There are certain things that they can not be flexible with since it is a museum. For one thing , not red wine can be served. In spite of that I am really glad that I had the wedding there. It was beautiful.

After much thought of where we wanted our wedding to take place we decided that we DIDN'T want it in a hotel banquet room with 4 bland walls and paisley carpet (we do live in tourist central)- so that led us to search out other venues, and I came across the Orlando Museum of Art. At first visit I wasn't sure all 175 guests would fit, so the coordinator that I was speaking with told us to come back that next week where there was going to be another venue (A Bar Mitzvah) was taking place. So we did, and when I saw what the Museum could be turned into- I was BLOWN AWAY!! It was gorgeous! The table on the wonderful marble created such as great contrast. We had our ceremony in the rotunda where the chihuly is and the seating semi-circled around us in front of the magnificient sculpture. The coordinator was there through the wedding and reception and led us through every step and was extremly helpful. The tall ceilings, openness, and wonderful artwork was a world of difference compared to the bland 4 walls of any hotel banquet room!

Great if you can be creative, but because of the nature of the venue there are a lot of restrictions on what you can do.
But as long as you can work around them, the venue is unique and the rotunda made for a great social area.

The Museum is a gorgeous place to have a ceremony and reception. It would have been great to have more hands on help from the coordinator there, but it was still a lovely experience.

We held our ceremony and reception at the Museum. It was a beautiful venue, and everyone really enjoyed it.
A few weeks prior to my wedding the coordinator left, and the hand over to the new coordinator wasn't the best. When we came in to do the rehearsal the day before there was a bit of confusion with the security guards, and they made both of our families believe that they could not take any pictures during our ceremony. Later that evening the coordinator called my wedding planner to apologize for the treatment from the security guards, which I appreciated.
I did feel that the cost was a bit high, especially since our other vendors took care of setting everything up.
Overall it was a lovely venue, which I would recommend to someone looking for a spot that is a bit different, and not your typical ballroom setting. One piece of advice if your hosting an event at the Museum, if you can afford it have someone do entertainment lighting for you. One of my friends did it for us, and I think that the rotunda area would have been very bland, and it would've been a completely different party without it.
Orlando Museum of Art is an especially beautiful venue. You’ll enjoy expert care from their professional staff as you plan whether you are hosting an intimate event or a huge party. Beautiful venue, perfectly located.
Great place to photograph a wedding or event. Location is wonderful and the staff very professional.
Unique and unforgettable is what the Orlando Museum of Art will be to you and your friends! There is no place like it in Central Florida!
I have shot many weddings in many different venues and very few compare to the feeling you get at the Orlando Museum of Art. As soon as you arrive on premise you notice the modern architecture and gorgeous landscape. The inside of the museum has many works of art that my subjects and I can utilize to create our own masterpieces. You might assume that they have many rules because it is a museum of course,on the contrary they are more than happy to give you the freedom you need to have a memorable ceremony. Thank you from Castaldo Studio. A+++
I love this location!! Not only is it a beautiful venue with classy art and the acoustics are fantastic! (One of the most beautiful and touching ceremonies I had was done there) The staff is very helpful and corporative. I have only worked with great wedding professionals there so I assume they have a great vendors list from which they recommend. I trust them and enjoy doing weddings there.
Wonderful Venue!

To say the Orlando Museum of Art is unique is of course an understatement, it's a Beautiful Venue. I was surprised how easy going & helpful all the staff was there especially Mary. I just thought the Museum would be so stuffy w/endless rules but that wasn't the case at all for me. It was one of the first venues I used uplighting on which you can see on my index page: www.orlandosgottalent.com It is well worth a look! :-)
Trendy, modern venue for fantastic events! The staff is helpful, the location is beautiful....simply one the best in Orlando!
Your dress won't be the only masterpiece at this historic, and exciting venue. Stunning marble floors, solid hard wood, and ceilings to the sky make this venue a wonderful find. With surrounding windows allowing natural light in, it makes for a memorable occassion. Amy and crew were very friendly and helpful and I would recommend this venue to anyone.
